I worked at Van Chevrolet in Scottsdale AZ from 1993 to 1997 and we sold these trucks like CRAZY!!!! 😵💫 I still own a mint 1992 GMC 1500 with the “sport suspension package” came with 3:73 gears, a posi and 275 60 15 tires! So cool!
I have always bought 1968-1974 models of cars and trucks , but about 4 years ago I bought my 93 C1500 and have lowered it , done a custom interior . I just like the way it looks and am glad I bought it .
99-07 gmt800 are the best they made. factory ls style vortec engines. better interiors then older models and not nearly as much technology as the new trucks that are prone to failures
I’ll stick with 88-95 as the best. Way less electronics, super simple and cheap to work on. Im not sure what year they switched to the electronic heater, but my 95 has it and I hate it. Only downside I’ve found to them is the damn door pins.
The obs is the model that really started the sport truck scene I remember back in 98 when I seen my first obs on a 5/7 drop I was hooked I’m trying to get my neighbor to sale me his
I regret getting rid of my 95 Cheyenne, but still will never get rid of my 99 Tahoe 4x4. As a mechanic I can definitely say they aren’t the best but definitely not the worst. I like the size of them, not too big not too small and easy to park!
no they have never stopped good as a 73-79 models or handled as good as the square body, ive owned both and ran gravel roads in the swamps and the obs cant hang a curve at 90mph like a sqaure body then turn down a levee embankment chasing a deer a obs couldnt hang.
The OBS is just a regular truck that was purposedly built for work! It is insane to SEE them go for $10s of thousands just because of being it, then You SEE them with a LS engine and I wonder why not just Buy an original LS truck instead of destroying the good running OBS out there!
Are you insane?? I do agree that Fords were much better then now until about mid 90s(I had a 89 lariat xlt 351 that was great) I have a 89 2500 Cheyenne w 4wd and sb 350 and am definitely a true fan of Chevys now.Im just amazed at how much thick steel hardware is attached to the front wheels and yet on dry roads you can barely tell your in 4 wd.Only complaint is mileage and of course door sag and construction of dash and panels.Whatta F’n headache.driver door is falling apart yet truck and engine are cherry ✌️🤘👍🤷♂️👽👽

Can't beat the timeless & classic look of an old Chevy OBS .. 😙
Still hot after all these years 🤠
Never once have I got sick of them!

I’ve had 4 OBS trucks, 90 c1500, 91 C2500, 94 C3500HD, and 00 Escalade

There’s just something special with them.
"Landscapers and Construction workers" is his way of saying Mexicans 😂
I don’t have an OBS but I do have an S-10 which it’s an 86 and it don’t have a single speck of rust on it so I say yes to the OBS
@@timothynovo1178 good trucks as well!
best of the best GMT 400 also add blazer ,Tahoe , suburban
What about the 4L80E Trans? Or the NV4500?
It boggles my mind why someone would buy a full size truck and lower it. To each their own but it makes no sense to me
My 97 is substantially more of a pain in the butt than my squarebody.
I'm constantly chasing gremlins in my 92.
The correct answer is GMT800
Another truck hit!
Prefer the 03+ NBS . But OBS does have a place in my 12 car garage
NBS is an amazing truck! I had one and regret that I no longer do.
@@fuelishmedia Oh I would need more than a 12 car garage if I didn't get rid of old ones. my NBS was sweet and I would love to have another one
For the $ yeah I'd have to agree
Bruh mexicans love these trucks
Everyone loves these trucks
There's one major flaw in this theory...it's spelled 700R4
😂
