    I am getting bright ring at centre instead of dark. How to fix it

      Hi.. actually some dust particles may be between plane and plano convex lens.. then at center thinfilm thickness is not zero and bright ring condition is satisfied hence we get bright instead of dark ring.. to fix this.. clean the plane and plano convex lens with neat cloth and redo the experiment... Thank you for watching.....

      Lambda is wavelength of light source...
      Here source is sodium vapour lamp and its wavelength is 589.3nm

    Sir why we use source of light as a sodium vapour lamp .why we not use any other lamps

      we can use any source.. but we get rings based on source only.. i.e the colour of bright ring and diameter depends on the source we are taking
