Something important aside from learning how to do footstooling is intentionally teching aerial footstools as to not be put in an awful missed tech scenario for an even potentially worse punish if the character allow for it
Aerial footstools are so unpredictable but man do too players capitalize. No one footstools intentionally (yet) so it's extremely hard to really practice.
This will be the first G4 I watch because Larry Lurr was invited. Larry Lurr is the living soul of Competitive Smash and he should be invited to every event including Ultimate ones. He is the ambassador of the sport and I’m glad G4 recognizes his stewardship
Getting footstools with Steve is by far the easiest character in the game. I guarantee if you go to training room right now you can hit footstool dair. I hit it like 10x in a row with no practice and instantly hit it on WiFi. I think his low jump height is what makes it so easy
It's also the fact that you can mash all his jumps in a couple of frames not worrying about overshooting the height of your opponent's head and continue to press jump without needing to have conserved one to land a footstool
7:30 technically never landed because of the broken way up b into stage works. It's good 99.9% of the time, just have to remember mario, squirtle, and greninja technically have counterplay
I asked the question at 4:44 lolz I practice fair bair flash a decent bit but the irar is the hardest part, I often get fair / wrong direction bair instead. Definitely gonna practice it more tho! Edit: I landed my first fair bair flash today!
@@anthonyi8484 for short hops functionally yes. it gives you a buffered back air instantly. but you can only do it for shorthops not fullhops. and if you ever need to time the bair, so it isnt exaclty buffered it also wont work
@@soulofalbedo how would one irar into a full hop? I play Roy so most of the time I just rar very quickly to get full hop jair and attack cancel for shorthop backair
So cool to see the wolf, we’ve truly come full circle with the character videos. Rosa vid plz I’d think I’d be cool to hear your opinion on her in this game
I'd love to see a review of Ouch!?'s Wolf!
Absolutely
I totally agree, if he could review multiple sets of Ouch that’d be super cool 😎
so sick to watch, especially love stroder vs ouch
Larry: *Mocks players that are probably a lot better than me*
Me: "Yeah, that guy was trash, right?!"
FUN LARRY FACT: According to SocialBlade, Larry will reach 50 million views on RUclips by May of 2023!

I appreciate the Larry drip on the green stage, 10/10.
Larry really did 4 dmashes in a row at the end and did not get punished

GLITCH Hm. Steve. He is indeed kookily.

you could always attack cancel the bair if that is easier
Is irar just attack cancel or am I tripping?

Tbh I don't even know how to footstool yet, but using up b as a mix up in neutral works better than I expected
Not the background of elektroplankton 😩
I love the portrait green screen
before watching, I think the future of Wolf's meta is making a lot of correct reads.
