The Yamauba is a witch which is well known in Japan, and is the equivalent of the stereotypical green skinned witch we have in the West. Studio Ghibli used similar mythology for their other films, including Princess Mononoke.

Sadly no, as the game runs on the Taito Type X2 hardware, which if you didn't know and would blow your mind if you haven't kept up with the arcades in a past decade or so, is literally just a Windows XP computer. You can run this game standalone and/or via Teknoparrot, since it's literally just a Windows application.
SNK or companies close to SNK made weird games, this doesn't look that great, seems generic, SNK really only had Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and King of Fighters that were solid, rest were meh, well Samurai Showdown was awesome as well.

I love that all the stage themes are being actively performed in the background of the stage itself.
