Vecna would be sick but im team spider. The moment it got showed in the tome, i was like "that needs to be a killer". And the water tower on MacMillan got me even more excited, im so glad people are finally acknowledging its exstince as potential killer

Adding Frank Stone for the anniversary would more than definitely spoil the actual game. Later on they'll provably add him but this soon? When the game isn't even released? Yeah no. People hate spoilers.
Agreed, I could tell they want the casting of frank stone to be its own thing. after all, they make videos dedicated to that game alone and never mentioned dbd, except for the whole “from the creators of____” thing. Plus isn’t chapter 32 and 33 licensed chapters instead of originals?

@@bread_games8114I’m still leaning towards the anniversary being original just because the last two were. I just hope they knock it out of the park again. Unknown was one of the best original chapters in a long time so if this is also original I have very high hopes.

One things for sure, I know for a fact Dracula or some kind of vampire is on the way with the gothic cosmetic set literally referring to a vampire. However it would make sense if gumpy was just guessing with that cause castlevania dracula is WAY too strong for this game
There is literally a vampire called Vlad the impaler. That is inside the game's lore

I mean that's also true of Vecna from D&D, who is a literal god. In fact the upcoming Vecna: Eve of Ruin adventure D&D is putting out to celebrate its 50th anniversary has Vecna trying to destabilize the multiverse and kill all other gods. Even Castlevania's Dracula doesn't have that kind of power.
V rising is getting castlevania dlc soon too, and I believe properties like to license out things around the same time, its around the same time as the anniversary stream, so I wouldnt be surprised if we get a teaser atleast for Dracula.
I want him way more than Vecna.

The anniversarry number means nothing now because the previous numbers had the same styles and they were original killers, I'm pretty sure BHVR stopped doing the thing with the numbers since the 4 shaped Pyramid

Predator and Springtrap are my top picks. I don't want characters from non-horror franchises like DnD to be added to a game about horror.

If what Scott is hinting at IS a chapter for fnafs 10 year anniversary, it's likely gonna be chapter 33 since that's closer to the release date for fnaf 1 than chapter 32
I'm feeling like the next chapter will be a Gothic horror type chapter. The only reason is that the 8 looks like spider legs and the ptb poster is fog.

This is my guess, too. Though I actually think that it really will be the killer from that upcoming spinoff game. He just makes too much sense as a killer to coincide with an event that's celebrating this game's anniversary.

If it isn't vecna or something more popular I do you want to point out we've had multiple references to Dracula Castlevania and the like just in-game teased whether it be the Vittorio skin that had references to Bram stoker's Dracula or the pinball machine that had characters that look like Simon and Richter in Greenville square
Aye!!! I was Harry Mason who speculated Vecna! Thanks for the featured comment. My theory was far fetched but not ruled out because when the devs released Pyramid head they did an animation with the chapter 4 design where it moved and formed the pyramid head. If the claws for the 8 rotated and formed the hand of Vecna it would be possible that it is Vecna but the Spider theory is also a good one. Just seems too obvious. However there at 8 legs on a spider and they look like spider legs too. Who knows! Love the content! ❤
Good theories, but I'm gonna have to go with either Vecna from DND because of what Gumpy's post said seems to be legit so far or The Casting Of Frank Stone
We should talk about a possible survivor if dnd Vecna comes to dbd, I feel like a the possibilitys are a dnd character, a original new character, saku and probably the most prominent one which is the observer who’s been gone for awhile and adding him as a anniversary survivor with a license anniversary killer like dnd Vecna can raise up the spikes of dbd because the observer has been questioned a lot since his disappearance.
The green sky/mist is a nod to the evil Green Ranger and his green candle. He will have the ability to switch between weapons and when he plays his flute it makes survivors scream. His ability is to high jump and can shut down loops in two story buildings -source Schmuckles told me.
Too bad Jason David Frank wouldn't be around anymore to voice him.
Maybe it's the Green Goblin. Spider legs in the number 8 indicating a spider killer. Bring in Willem Dafoe. 😆

It is worth noting that some variations of Vecna had a bit of an obsession/alignment to spiders, even though he seems less likely now
Thinking on recent videos posted by Dbd related with Frank Stone information, that could count as a "teaser" for the next chapter maybe? Tbh, I will prefer to see him after his game and not before but well, there are many clues that he could be the anniversary.
i would like to say this is the first event with more then one skull and predators are known for collecting them and the frank stone tusks kinda look like jaw of one to

If it is going to be a full licensed Anniversary chapter, I am leaning towards about five licenses: Candyman, Slenderman, FNAF, Predator, and Dracula! These five would work really well with the ghastly, dark green lighting!

My top guess would be a Necromorph from Deadspace, which also has an Aftermath title and previous rumors of having a chapter.
The skull in the anniversary picture with the things around the jaw could possibly be a tiny hint to the predator
In my opinion the PTB banner it looks more like some kind of green fog. And it looks very similar to the egg on the water tower in my opinion with he green effect it has.
I think there will be Casting of Frank Stone news, and that's why it's heavily teased, but I think Frank Stone will be released as a killer alongside the Supermassive game. If the leaks are true, it will be Vecna, but a lot of spider imagery as well as this being the 8th anniversary (8 legs?) is definitely very curious.

@@iangraham5097 its one of the bosses in Hunt. He's something like a big ball of black flesh with Plague mask. His abilities are using weapons and he can throw bombs that explode something that looks and works like barbed wire. He would also be probably the only one to make sense since others would be too hard to implement.

@@Grubusss okay, apparently, it seems he'd be a bit similar to Oni in power due to his frenzy ability, as well as also being compared to Trapper because of his concertina bombs creating traps that...probably will injure and slow survivors when walked on? I guess since he also has more than one melee weapon, he might be more versatile than most killers, so maybe he'll be a great addition to the game!
I think it’ll be Vecna because of Sable’s Invocation perk! Cote said there’d be more coming, and there won’t be many opportunities for characters that make sense thematically! A DnD character with a spell makes sense, no?
I guess Castlevania could then be another of those limited opportunities, by extension of the same logic!
Mad Designer makes sense to me as well though as a conclusion to the Masquerade themed Anniversary, as this will be year three, and I think that’s how many Blighted Halloween’s there were? (I wasn’t here for the start).
By that logic, I reckon Observer + Spider / Void Themed killer for the conclusion of the Void event this Halloween?
I kinda hope it's predator been waiting for this man since the alien chapter and honestly think that green background for the PTB looks like like a POV of someone looking up at a jungle it's kinda hard to tell but if you think of it has a pastel painting you could probably see what I'm talking about the whole thing has a space feel anyway and I could be overthinking it but hey that's the best part of making theories
Ok, I have a crazy theory: what if the reason we have all of these clues towards different things is because the next killer is “The Thing” which would also explain the merged skulls on the anniversary poster not to mention that The thing is going to be in the new Funko fusion game meaning they are open to game collabs

Ok this is a stretch but what about Laura from The Evil Within? She has long claws that are similar to the ones on the poster. She also has 4 long arms- 2 above and 2 below - that resemble the 8 shape. Fits the idea of a "Spider-like" killer. Also, the tomes seem to hint at future stuff...the old elegant gothic vibe is seen in The Evil Within. There's other reasons to believe that they have worked on this chapter as well.
tbh frank stone could also make a lot of sense. him getting added into the game would make more sound for when the game will be released in november-december so idk. but yea i kinda don't want it to be him. idk we already know how he looks (if y'all know what i mean) and i wouldn't be much of a surprise. even if it's a licensed chapter it would still be more of a surprise than him anyways

You mentioned the 8 looking like entity claws, it made me think instead of claws they're actually spider legs. in my opinion they look too rounded to be entity claws compare them to the claws that appear around the obsession in game, they look more like hairy spider legs, also spider has 8 legs, 8 eyes, 8th anniversary? Just a thought.

Honestly we don't have a licensed chapter on the anniversaries since June 15, 2021, which was Resident Evil (Nemesis). 2022 was (Dredge - Original), In 2023 it was (Singularity - Original) and in 2024 I think it will be original, most likely, lately they have been releasing the licenses outside of the DBD anniversary.
i really feel like it's eithee St vecna or my guess and most likely is casting of the frank stone maybe predator dnd vecna wish is no more in my opinion if it's diffrent i'll be surprised.

I believe the next killer is some kind of spider, and my reasoning is that it's the 8th anniversary, and the eight looks like spider legs and spiders have 8 legs, there are 3 skulls and some species of spiders have 6 eyes, and lastly one of the skulls has insect like mandibles coming out of it. And what better time to bring in a spider killer than the 8th anniversary
Another thought with the three skulls within dbd lore could be the watchers.
to play a bit of the devils advocate. I dont think the green on the roadmap ptb poster indicates a lot. With all things wicked roadmap showing the same green hue with a static background. The static however played a huge roll so you could expect the same from the clouds
I don’t think anything we have so far indicates anything. The 4th anniversary did irreversible damage to this community. Since then, none of the numbers have meant a damn thing. We should wait until they release some proper teasers before jumping the gun
I havent played much of dbd since chuckys release cuz i was bummed that it wasnt predator, so i will continue to hold out hope that he'll come one day, i hope this chapter is Predator

Frank Stone is too soon, the casting hasn’t came out yet and it would spoil his story very early.
The “8” is funny because a spider has eight legs, and in the cutscenes of the Rift we’ve seen the appearance of some arachnid.
The community have asked for Springtrap and DBD might listen for once, idk… the only problem is, what would his ability be? I was always thinking if a FNAF character would be a cosmetic for a killer like The Doctor or The Trapper… I mean, Foxy as The Blight or Molten Freddy as The Dredge. Hell, Funtime Freddy and Bon Bon as The Twins, if DBD can change the animation and mori for The Huntress (referencing to the Were Elk skin) then they can do it again.
Another thought I have had is a vampire killer. In the cutscenes of the Rift, we’ve seen the Observer encounter a vampire, who I assume would be someone like Vlad The Impaler.
And the sisters from Resident Evil Village, yeah… we’ve had too many Resident Evil stuff. 😅
My last thought is that there won’t be a next killer/survivor this next update, and instead is just another trailer and release date for The Casting of Frank Stone.
EDIT: That wasn’t actually my last thought, my final thought which I forgot about was The Backrooms. I know there’s no speculation for it at all, but following The Unknown and his chapter’s opening as somewhat of an Anologue Horror inspiration, I think they could pull it off again and include a Backrooms map, maybe the level we all know or The Poolrooms, showcasing the monster we saw in the Kane Pixels and A-Sync videos of the Found Footage.

I feel it makes sense that it would be original. Its the anniversary of the game so it would be better as a celebration of its anniversary of it being original.
Though either way I really want Dracula to be true.
Even if it's not Vecna, I'm hoping that we get it in the future. There's so much content that they could use with another Stranger Things chapter since they brought it back.

I mean I totally sound like I’m reaching but since we know that there is a spider creature in the lore and creatures from tomes have been made into chapters before like the dredge I feel like spiders are a recurring thing.
They used a killer related to the paranormal in the 6th anniversary, and one related to sci-fi in the 7th...
My theory is that they'll try something like this again, mixing horror and something else. This time it could be fantasy.
Maybe the next killer is some kind of zombie wizard, but not Vecna. He will just look like him, and Vecna will be just a legendary skin in the future. After all, the last two were original.

It would be cool to see if it was orginal chapter with spider as a k1ll3r for 8th anniversary. They trap the windows with spider webs and they have mobility web swinging but their POV is upside down to compensate.
i think is an original killer because the offical youtube channel of dbd has uploaded some teasers about the new game, also the helmet in the posters is almost the same, the ptb background, and also because they're gonna to usea the fanbase of dbd to promote the new game
As a huge D&D player I really do hope that Vecna is the next killer. Two of my favourite franchises crossing over would be so awesome.

It would be a bad idea to put him in right away in case the game is received badly, im thinking the helmet in the anniversary image is either foreshadowing that the frank stone game release date will he put out, or we will get a frank stone event around anniversary time, instead of a chapter (kinda like what they did with meet your maker)

Going to be waiting for a long time buddy. The only version of pennywise that is remotely licensable into the game is not the bill Stars guard pennywise. Nor is it the Tim Curry pennywise. Considering Warner Brothers has their own TV show about it that's the only version of the character that could be licensed into this game.
