Nice job Ali..... Very good illustration of how to get the job done. Flaps can be pretty tough, especially with the IDS system when it comes to getting the mechanical advantage along with the Flap Travel. This video helps builders save time and effort while providing the best geometries to get the flying qualities maximized. Thanks for all the effort......

I`m watching this for ideas for my glider to make it more aerodynamic as the control horns are on the outside. I`m just wondering why you just didn`t drill a new hole at 76mm on the flap end of the control rod, that would have given you the length you wanted ?

Because I didn't have a drill press and a drill bit small enough. I don't think I would be accurate with a hand held drill.

@@flightcomp Oh ok I get it but if you`re into modifying your planes ect ya might want to look into some things. You can get what you need from Hazard Fart ..You could equip yourself pretty well for under $400-$500.. I have a small machine shop for smithing and my R/C stuff. Small 10" lathe, mill, drill press and all my gauges and micrometers and probably have under $4k into it. But I`m also into anything with a engine or motor that I can make go fast. I refuse to buy what I can make myself, LOL..Thanks for answering me
