Growl, you should do your next tier list video with only clips of your party dying/wiping while you talk about how strong the classes are, but don't ever acknowledge it. I think that would be funny.
Best idea yet
And the bottom tier is him doing keys easily
@@rosco3 its just him pulling 50k dps fistweaving a 23 lmao
I like your takes and reasoning for the placements. Very solid and well articulated. Thanks for the time you put in on this.
I love how you put the healer tierlist in a details box.. such a small DETAIL, but I love it ;)
good one!
So glad to see you got your well deserved Blockbuster video sponsor! Such a big company, glad they chose you
What are Blockbuster doing these days?
i think there is only one blockbuster left in the world
Nah think it closed
@@dabnscape5569 it's in Bend, OR, USA
Its in denmark still
Thanks for this, very concise, and knowledgeable. Appreciate you taking the time to say 4 thru 7 may change depending on the player. Kudos and Thank you for the quality you put in this video
Solid explanations that really make it a decent tier list, thanks dude!
So glad you finally did the right thing and returned Jak's family to him.
Maining Holy Paladin this expansion and I have never seen a class vary so different per build depending on what stat you choose to stack--and interchanging even that. I like it so much.
i am also main HolyPala... and I have never been more happy about pala, before... The only thing that I would improve is to increase Crusader strike's dealt damage based on weapon damage and put in game some two-hands Intellect weapons (i.e. a 2H mace/Sword/Axe/Poleaxe with intellect). This would make the Single Target DPS a bit better (which is one of the things that is lacking for HolyPala) but at the cost of losing the shield which makes it survivability a bit worst. I would also change Shield of Righteous into something like the Strike of The Righteous where the if used with the shield it will provide Armor (like it does now), but it used with the Pummel of a weapon it will either stun a target for 1 sec or provide a damage increase for 5 sec (depending on balancing). This would also mean that the ability would be more used as Holy Power spender since, at the moment, I only use it if I have wings up and I want some addition armor expecting some incoming physical damage or when I want to dump some Holy Power into some AoE DPS... but in generally I do not use it since I rather dump the Holy Power into LoD to increase the change of a Wing Proc...
some of your best content man. been watching since bfa, love to see you stepping it up to the highest level!
BTW i keep track of all ur content across twitch and other channels, u are doing so good man keep it up
I really appreciate overviews like this, thank you growl! Keep up the good work! Hope this comment helps feed the algorithm for you
Super high quality videos coming out these days! Great work
Banger video. Thanks for the tier list!
Good video thank you for the explanations on each for all levels of players.
I miss the old Disc Priest. The bubble priest. He was a god.
Me, too. I was in the top 5 healers on my server as Disc and would rival the spot for top DPS in our guild raids as the top healer. It was so much fun. I never ran out of mana, then they took away our ability to have bigger mana pools through Spirit Stat. 😔 Anyway, I was hoping to hear something good about them in this expansion, but I guess not. 😕 Such a bummer.
A comment to support your content, Growl. Great videos, as always. Take care, bud.
The tier list we all been waiting for
As someone who decided to main resto druid in DF around half way through SL season 4, I'm very happy about this :D
As someone who has mained resto druid for the past 4 years, I'm very happy about this :D
As someone who has played druid for over 10 years and still plays druid I am really happy about this, I usually play balance and they got nerfed to the ground but I can play all spects of my druid , Im like a master druid my favorite class out of all.
Thanks for the video, fantastic to have *such* thoughtful and informed comparisons, even though most of us know that we’re switching to evoker anyway because it’s new.
Growl! I'm only 3 minutes into the video but I have to say, the editing on this video is ON POINT. The Details-esque UI for the rankings is a nice touch - more interesting than tier maker.
Ikr, editing has stepped up and the script is tight. Growl is a step ahead of the competition
Props to his editor! Good work!
Yeah, growls editor has been doing phenomenally.
Bump for the algorithm. Very true.
Thanks for the video, I really value your opinion and so this helps a lot in deciding what to play if DF
Great vid mate!
Production value and editing going up as those subs go up. Growl got me into healing in SL and it’s been great to see this cat with a waffle on its head grow. I didn’t touch Holy Paladin in SL but I’m loving it on pre-patch and will probably keep it as my main for season 1.
I wish that warlord disc would come back. I loved crit heals would instead leave an absorb shield for 100% of the amount healed. I mean it was super overpowered and made a lot of content trivial but I would love to see it balanced and brought back. It was such a good mechanic, not a huge fan of the current disc
The use of details as the ranking is really sick
just got my evoker up and it feels good!! Happy keying Growl
nice video and you are very soothing to listen to.
As a resto Shaman main, I'm glad they've gotten better over the beta. I just hope they get a slight further nudge on big AoE like you mentioned and maybe a buff to Healing Tide Totem. Also, I very much feel the whole part were we have ltos of utility that we don't take because it's just not worth it. Makes me sad loosing so much and gaining, what at least feels like, not much in return.
I'm a returning resto shaman, I stopped during Battle for Azeroth as I felt our class has gotten the shaft last 3 expansions or so. Hopefully it plays well during this one.
@@KNByam if you left in bfa how would you know ? rsham was amazing in SL
Really enjoying your content lately. There might not be that many healers compared to DPS, but we still deserve content! :D
Thanks for the video!
Great video quality!
Dorki converted me but I still eat up your content too. Good video and nice way of displaying the ranking in the meters.
Thanks for the tier list
Yo the blockbuster sponsor that is wild!!! what an honor to work with them
Sad to hear MW still lacks the burst healing. It finaly feels soooo good to play again. Would love to see the cd from instant vivify gone since its a two edged sword that could drain your mana quickly, yet it could add some nice burst on demand.
This is truly the Blockbuster of videos.
Grats on 100k!
Hello Growl, this is friends. Thanks for all the content you're pumping out on here and on Twitch
i didn't expect this ranking tbh xD
great video!
Good video thanks for the info
Ty for great content growl !!
Watching this knowing full well I'll just play all of them
Awesome stuff! Now we need guides about how to do as much damage as possible as a healer please.
Great breakdown
Awesome dude! Now too choose!
I played a healer on and off from Vanilla to WoD (Priest, Druid and Pally). Just got back to the game after 8 years. Thanks for a great overview as well as showing the actual clips of healing. Man healing is so different now. You actually do damage lol. Seems cool. Also I can't decide which healer to play, so much choice. I know Blizz will change the balance since this is a new expansion so I'm not sure just picking the current strongest healer is the best idea. I kind of like being different too. I'm maining a warlock atm, but I want to pick an alt healer. Leaning towards paladin only because at least I know what some of those spells do, so it will be easier to pick up.
Pala was changed substantially from WoD to present day, while some of the abilities like Word of Glory did exist in Dreanor, most of the new core abilities and talents were introduced in Legion... Also in Legion the play style was changed from Ranged Healer to Mele Healer. Playing in Mele as a healer is not trivial since one little mistake can cause a group wipe (if you die, and there is no CR available everyone else will die in seconds). In BFA the main secondary stat became Haste, while previously was Crit. Crit was important for us due to the fact that HShock had a 50% increase chance to crit which meant that stacking Crit could lead to each Shock being a crit and that meant we would have had a 100% uptime on Infusion of Light proc.. Blizz nerf Shock crit chance in BFA while not changing the Mastery but also buffed the Holy Power (HP) spenders: Word Of Glory (WoG) and Light od Down (LoD) which meant that building up HP and spending it on WoG or LoD was more important than casting HL or LF.... Since Crusader Strike (CS) is a HP generator and there were talents that made CS interact with Shock (by reducing in CD), it meant that Haste became more important since Infusion was no longer guaranteed but we still needed to be able to cast the occasional Flash of Light (FL) or Holy Light (HL) but to get infusion we needed more Shock casts which is dependent on CD which is dependent on Haste...
With the move from range to mele abilities like HL and FoL which used to be core in the past are now niche and only used occasionally and the reason for this is that in most occasions you do not have the time to do a hard cast, but both HL and FL can provide some usefulness when Infusion proc is active and, you do not need to move for any reason... Also, remember that pala lack strong AoE healing (Light of Down is quite good but requires incredibly good positioning and situational awareness and Beacon of Virtue is also strong but drains your mana like is nobody's business)...
Playing pala is quite fun, but I find it quite challenging... you can give it a try but don't expect it to be the same as it was in Dreanor or you will find it "less fun"...
Congrats on all the new sponsors Grom!
Great Video!
I do gotta say that for Resto Sham, it does seem like you have to focus a lot more on healing than have free time in order to do any dps.
Thanks for video ;-)
I was nervous about Holy paladin, but it seems like they will be fine. So far really enjoyer invoker and mistweaver
Thanks, friend
Cool and informative video, kinda sad as a disc main, but still kinda like beeing the underdog :) gonna stick to it no matter What changes it gets !
thx for the greats videos!
I like your waffle tho
Dont care about healers but video edit is very pog!! Also very entertaining, even if you are dps or tank
So glad to hear you put MW in S tier! I haven't watched the video yet, but there's no way it's not S tier, right?
Right?
man i am pissed at what they did to mw. the 40% stam increase hit them hard af (harder than any other healer from what ive seen) then they hit them with a round of nerfs. once again, another expac where mistweaver is bottom....
@@officialdabaws5228 pov: you have no idea what ur talking about
@@CrypticElements do i not? well thanks for informing me lol
@@officialdabaws5228 I mean, the 40% stam increase hit all the healers equally hard, that was the point of nerfing stam instead of some other slider.
The healing nerfs are small % that really only meaningly effect our healing throughput in raid, where every % matters.
The reason mw is low on the chart is because we don't do a fantastic amount of burst healing and have very limited Single target damage
@@wheeze8189 dunno, classes like druid, i was overhealing alot with hots cos it was so strong, not i feel like i get all the value out of hots and i dont often feel like x seconds of that hot was wasted on overhealing. just as an example. i mainly m+ and pvp, in pvp healing feels awful on mw since the stam change. and in m+ it pretty much feels like we're back to the same playstyle as shadowlands (a bit weaker truth be told), cant rely on damage to heal at all, stopping and hardcasting clunky awkwardness. this wasnt the case before the stam changes. i mean this is just my personal experiences so its purely anecdotal.
I'd love more info on your UI setup! Addons and everything.
ohhh my comment is so positive and the algorithm loves that i left it. thanks for the video!
Best tier list made so far. Tier lists are kind of a meme but the way you explain yours it actually makes sense. I also like the fact that you chose to mention that from place 4 onwards they are kind of even, preventing ranting of the lowest placed spec. This tier list is ofcourse focused on those 20+ keystones and maybe you could make a smaller faster video explaining what u think the tier list would be for those semi-hardcore 15-20 keys, also taking in mind the randomness of the pug groups.
Evoker looks fun, gonna have to play that at the start at least, it's a bit too powerful probably damage-wise though so I'd expect a bit of a nerf going into mythic+ week honestly.
oh the blockbuster ad. beautiful :)
I haven't done anything on beta (got it shortly before pre patch) with dungeons for m+ or anything, but for evoker if you can stack three temporal anomaly into a stasis, its a very strong constant absorbtion for heavy pulsing aoes or aoe dots for a short duration while also leaving your other 30s or longer cooldowns ready to use. Basically, the amount of tools on evoker but not a lot of more consistent burst healing or aoe healing feels really nice because it forces some actual thinking, not as much as holy pally but it feels super nice. I'd rate holy pal and preservation as my top two in terms of fun!
you know you've made it when that blockbuster sponsorship rolls in. grats grom!
Sick, full Druid comp for highest keys, lets see it!
Great video, I main enhancement and I'll only ever heal low keys so fourth place is fine with me lol
Hey ! Thanks for the great content as always !! Really helpful and fun !
You may have said this elsewhere, but if you see this, what do you consider 'low', 'mid', and 'high' keys? Trying to consider your comments in the context of my personal goal of getting the KSM mount, and maybe pushing for the teleports.
I always enjoyed playing as a Disc priest of healing and damage mitigation through shields. It was interesting when they made their damaging spells also provide heals so that they had a little bit of a middle ground of DPS and backup healing. Recently I have been playing Envoker to try the class out and it feels like a cross between Mage and Druid in my opinion.
Solid list but I don’t see Resto Shaman ahead of Holy Priest in any content. I think that’s a miss.
Ty for the vid =)
love your content
Even tho disc is on last place, im gonna try it anyways. The way they changed it comparred to SL, it brings me so much fun.
Amazing graphic....the details UI is awesome!
Oof sounds rough for disc.. With m+ seeming to just be more difficult across the board in dflight, at what level key do you think playing disc will become a problem? Great video btw, editing was on point. Congrats on the blockbuster Sponser
Just leaving a nice comment. Keep up the good work.
I love holy pala. You can combine so many tools now in the 20 pt tier it’s insane. I was playing a build with avenging crusader, awakening, glimmer, vanquisher hammer, maraads dying breath, divine toll, and beacon of virtue. Fat ass group heals and plenty of burst cds. The only thing is you go oom super fast.
I haven’t tried beacon of virtue since legion. I’ll try that this weekend
@@trench6118 BoV is useful in bursting weeks
@@trench6118 Man, those were the days. Zero AoE healing and undispelable Bursting Weeks. It was all about that Bestow Faith into Beacon of Virtue
Mistweaver isn't last so I'm taking that W..
It's my favorite class, so I'm gonna be fistweaving regardless of their ranking because it's S Tier FUN for me!
Great video as always growl YEP
I'm a discipline priest main, this just encourages me even more!
Everything I see in disc makes me want to play it. Just came back to wow and have been learning resto Druid, but I think I made a mistake!
@@droogeydroogey8950 resto Druid is strong and will likely be of the best healers in the game. Disc just plays different than every else I love it
@@Ridingthewaves305 yeah, the atonement setting and dps rotation to heal just seems so unique. Looks so fun
Yep. Definitely felt like disc and mw could fall behind very easily - sad because they are both much better and more fun compared to the last few expansions
nice vid. surprised u put disc so low but figures after your expl. gonna main druid this season after 16y of holy pally so i am curious :p
A nice comment for the algorithm because I enjoyed the video.
poggies thanks for the vid!
Cries in Disc
Hello Growl this is friends, well rounded video.
As a former resto Shaman main my big issue with it is that it feels like it really got nothing interesting for talents. Even monk is significantly more fun with real fistweaving and most the other healers got some neat little changes that make them more synergistic and interesting but shaman just feels the same now matter how i build it.
Surprised to see HPal and RSham placements, but that’s a good thing. Will try them all anyway!
Considering how low MW was in shadowlands do you take mystic touch into consideration when you calculate your dps for that healer? That 5% can add up if your party has like 2 physical dps.
Unfortunately with the absurd strength of windwalker going into the xpac, it's gonna be rare that the MW is the only source of mystic touch in higher end groups. It certainly does help though!
@@wheeze8189 that is unfortunate. Sounds like a WW meta.
I can't decide if I should be happy or sad that pretty much the only critera that drops certain specs is how much damage they do.
YESSSS DADDY NEEDS ANOTHER TIER LIST BABY KEEP EM COMING (snorts a line of copium)
I've personally mained tank classes for xpac life. this xpac DF I figured I would go heals. Im currently on my first healer Holy Pally and I can I've had some really good games and then some really bad ones. Some dung I feel like a God and other dung I feel like I have no business being there lol. Overall I think I'm enjoying the play style of HP. I'm currently running the "caster" build and I feel more comfortable using this build vs the maarad/raid build(s). I plan on lvl'n up other healing classes as well to see which I actually like more. Appreciate your input though, good vid.
Ugh I miss when Disc was cool and was about absorption rather than the atonement thing. I wish they’d make atonement less of a focus, like useful if you have time to deal damage, but when there’s lots of healing needed Disc should be able to spam shields and shit
Love video.
thansk for this
Thanks for the positive disc comments. Think I’ll dig mine out.
Nice!
Man it’s just crazy that there are healers that are just straight up unplayable. I never remember a time in wow where certain specs just can’t deal with some of the content. As a priest I’m already preparing to get denied from keys. Also how come Druid has more dps than disc and a lot more healing?? Crazy….
Could you make a video on your damage priority as a healer? I.e, if you were to parse on a pack of 1-2 mobs and 3-4 mobs what’s the priority system. Sunfire > moonfire all > swipe all? Hard to find this information on the best damage rotation for when I do keys and have slight downtime I’d like to maximize my dps
Thanks for the tier list, im coming from ff14, and was an all arounder there (play all types of classes), but i mainly healed. If you or really anyone has any tips for a newbie, it'd be really appreciated it!
