I hope you dig it. It's a great pedal. As cool as that Tonex One is, I think the Boss will last a lot longer and probably hold its resale value better.

I want to get one just have the Engl amp sound without the Engl hole in my wallet. It is really amazing what Boss can do in a small pedal.
    Awesome demo, Scott!

I think this would turn my Solid State Peavey Head into a cool, super dynamic, good sounding amp. The amp is clean and powerful. Would I put this pedal in the loop circuit and then use the pedal's own loop circuit for further looping needs?
Good demo BTW, I've been perusing Zzounds a little more lately, nice catalogue, prices seem within reason, I didn't compare. BOSS is simply awesome in almost everything they do, or they'll add a switch that turns the awesome on.

I would experiment with plugging it in. You could plug it into your return and see how it sounds there and then run other pedals through the loop.

Im surprised there isn't a noise gate,
I'm not a noise gate guy, but that would've
    been a handy option

How is this used, is it connected to an amp? Can you do a video on how to hook up and use. Also which would be better this or the new 50w Katana? Thanks for any advice.

I had to a send the pedal back to zzounds, but you have different options for connections. You can connect it directly into the front of an amp or into the power in section, or you can connect it directly to a PC if you plan on using it for recording through a recording interface or USB-C, or directly into a PA. As far as this Vs the 50, tit all depends what you plan on doing. If you want to practice and/or gig, it's probably better to have a stage amp. I'll be reviewing and demoing the Gen 3 100 watt in the coming month or so.

Interesting, but not for me. Get this: Last night I decided to load up a Boss II model "lights-journey" and as soon as I enabled it a loud ear splitting screaming came from the Boss, only way to stop it was to kill the amp then went into the Boss library, the preset for the model in editor was volume 100 and gain 70 with mods at +50! I am getting a bit of static from my amp now, hope it didn't fry the speaker, and I will be checking all my premade models from now on before enabling them. Have you had that experience?

Yeah, this one is for certain applications and if you won't make use of it often, it's tough to justify the price. A far as the amp goes, if if it is your speaker, at least that is a much cheaper fix than a new amp. I always like to check the patch volume and I try to warn people when mine might be a bit cranked. My master usually doesn't go past 9 o'clock.
