Pretty cool. I love the original silver knobs on the older versions, they should've kept that. But I'm glad they haven't completely ditched the rugged 80s style interface with knobs, can't get into those led screen line 6 neural dsp thingies, i know there advanced with huge applications.. but this would be my preference anyday. I get
Predator feels from the old school display lol with the whole alien sign languages. Just perfect.

I think it is worth it to spend a little more to get the gt-1000 core. You get more customization options with the signal chain.
For a beginner player, it is a phenomenonal deal to help you figure out your sound. Kids these days have it sooo easy to sound great for a few hundred verses thousands. 😂
Great demo of the unit, thank you!

I'd check out the GT 1000 core next, but I've been doing way too much Boss stuff lately (I have one more, well two with the Gen 3). I need to check out more Line 6 stuff.

Gt1000 isn’t that great, many of the blocks are not customizable and you can’t have full control of them, plus you can’t remove blocks that you’re not using, you can only shove them to the end of the chain and turn them off or make them straight through. Visually it’s very chaotic. If you’re looking for that kind of multi pedal GTX 100 is probably a better way to go, much more customizable. You also have full control over all the blocks and can have multiples of the same thing over and over again if you want that.

GX100 owner here. I absolutely love the Gx100 for its ease of use and the sound quality plus freedom signal chain

I use this in manual mode going into a tube amp using the 4 cable method. I have two: in case one fails. If the venue doesn't allow for mic'ing up a cabinet then I can just use the preamp section and run direct to front of house. It's a fantastic all in one in manual mode, just a stomp box with a built in expression pedal. I don't see why people say it's for beginners. It's outstanding for pros.
