I would love to see you check out the new Ibanez Pentanone gate. It is a single knob smart gate and only $100.00 USD. If a single knob is designed right it works better as it has much better hold, release and threshold latency. The best for that presently is the ISP Decimator G String smart gate but it is the most pricy of any of them.

My biggest beef is the controls being on the back. I love them on the top, just want them in the front :p. Other than that.. I love it! (Well, an as you mentioned, updating the thing lol)

I put a set of these in a mike Kelly tele. That had p90”s and I have to tell ya .. for 40 bucks it was definitely worth it .

Thanks for the vid and links. Tried loading custom irs before and didn't work or maybe you need specific hz ones but I don't know which (but mine where official ml sound lab ones) In the end stuck with Nux mighty plug, they sound amazing. Lekato still better than the old vox headphone plugs.

My question , does the 100 watt version sound better than the 50, I already own a 50 watt mk2 since 2020 and like it but I would like to have the option of a effects loop now and then.

Its a good amp but 8 patches?? when you're playing 2 full 45mins sets how can you cover all required guitar sounds with 8 patches? am I missing something?

I have the MK1 100 Artist .. What i learned from this that i just go back to oldskool amp. If nobody shares patches on the website and the company itself dicided to change the amp over time and not support the older ones and make the choiche that they are not compatible in tone studio then this amp is nothing special anymore. Then its just an amp with a decent sound. Its A great amp, but it could be better if they dont let the first buyers fall down after a short time, and try to change thier products over time because they pretend, this Amp gen 3 is better. Its probally the same thing if you open it up. TIP: If you want a better sound the change the speaker in a WAZA (the Artist has better speaker) or a Celestion or Jensen .. There are videos on it but i dont do that, but thats what makes the sound more full and pro .. Good start for starters this amp

Anyone had any issues with the lights flashing actually transmitting sound? Kinda like a metronome you can't turn off? Unusable like this. It's a shame cuz the autotune is actually pretty good, tho chromatic (I like it turned up all the way to be more robotic). The other feature that is nice is that I can have a mic and guitar input and have it all go out the guitar output. This is great when I'm using my loop pedal and want interesting/futuristic textures. But the "blipping" sound that goes in sync with the lights makes this pedal utterly useless. Haven't seen anyone with that specific issue yet, but that's been mine.

Try this, i bet it will work on gen 3 also - install Katana Librarian and there you can customize chain however you want, i.e. put EQ first in chain and shape your tone as you like, than when you use booster you will boost your shaped tone instead of raw signal going in so it doesn't get muddy, makes huge difference!

Thanks ! I just watched 2 others before yours and was ready to drop it . The others were making me not like this guitar . I was interested when I saw the pickup and thought it would inspire me in a new direction , I’ve had strats but never kept them . Les Paul’s just work for me . This might be a good switch , or at least a different road traveled . You did a great job of pulling me back in .

You answered a bunch of questions for me even though I wasn't looking for distortion settings yet. One question I had after browsing the manuals is how to tell the difference between a USB-B cable just for charging versus one to charge and pass data. I will have lots of woodshedding to do on this thing!

I have a Katana 100 watt 1x12 I just couldn't fall in love with ..... until I plugged a Fulltone Full-Drive 2 straight into the clean channel. Boom!!! Van Halen Tone for days with a single coil Strat. Don't like the other models because they sound fizzy to me, but the pedal into clean does it for me. I almost sold the amp- now glad I didn't

I tried one and it sounded crap.

Its just night and day with that black one the guitar looks classy and expensive. I never understood why guitar companies don't do that,the same guitar but with diferentes color pickguard ,the same goes with maple fretboard. Imagine that guitar with maple fretboard and black pickguard it would appeal to a lot more people and for Squier it would be the same in terms of costs,they already have those parts. I don't get it ?

That fretboard would be a good candidate to some cheap but good ebonizer wax or oil product,people are always looking for that since the laurel or pau ferro became almost the standard. It would give good content for a video.

When I connect the AMP to my PC, it shows the "Boss_KTNMK2" as an device but it vanishes shortly after, like 5 seconds. Do you know how to fix it?

I wanted to like this amp, since I was looking for something that I could use for practise as well as small gigs. Unfortunately, the Katana sounds thin, muddy and boxy. If you dial up the Gain and Presence, you can get something close to a Vox, but that's about it. There’s virtually no bass, and when you hike up the bass, the amp sounds like it’s muffled, as though a blanket has been thrown over it. A far better choice is to save up another $700 and buy a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

Sorry, but the Boss Katana sounds really bad. It has a small, boxy sound that has no depth or character. If you turn up the Gain and Presence knobs, you can get something close to a Vox, but aside from that, it’s better to save your money, and buy a Vox, or Fender tube amp.

I was interested in the gen 3 possibly having the waza as speaker for them all. When the bought it out I thought I didn't need to upgrade from the mk2 after all the videos I've seen I'll probably upgrade to a waza cab mk2 for cheap Bluetooth honestly doesn't bother me that much sure it's useful and faster but not for a price difference of what it is.
