Just goes to show how hard and costly it is to start a rebellion/revolution... In A New Hope you see it as simplistic, "ahh the good guys got together and defeated the bad guys" and guys like Luke and Han get the credit for delivering the "final" blow while guys like Luthen or Cassian don't get to see that 'sunrise' nor any medals...

Kino started the breakout knowing that even if he survived, he would have to face the fact that he couldn't swim. He said from the start that he was already dead, yet despite that he still lead the escape for the other men; to paraphrase Luthen's monologue, Kino fought for a sunrise that he himself could not enjoy.

So epic. One of the most haunting lines in ALL of Star Wars.

Andor without a doubt and Rogue One which fallows his end are best of the best in Star Wars History story telling and writing. I enjoy more watching ordinary man and woman fighting for the cause than some magic wielding character that can end them all in one breath. And for the first time ever we now have a show that shows the birth of the Rebellion in Andor story which fit's perfectly.

So glad you got a chance to watch it! Now you need to watch it again, and keep in mind that Kino knew he couldn’t swim the whole time.

Andor is a different type of leader. He's the guy that has specific skills & can communicate & motivate anyone. He sets up the path for a leader to come forth. Andor is resourceful, a skilled killer, singularly focus; with the ability to inspire greatness from those that are around them. Since this is Andor's story, I don't want to know the fate of Keno. Unless later down the line he is directly involved with the Rebellion. And his path crossed again with Andor. I don't know if he jumped or not. But since he referred to himself as dead man walking prior to the prison break. Plus his defeated demeanor at the end. Well, he had a little smile when they found out they had to jump & swim, then he had an all shucks attitude when he was trying to tell Andor he couldn't swim. Then a final defeated resignation. I think he needed Andor to motivate him to take a chance & jump/swim. He's like Red in Shawshank Redemption. A prison man who is so conditioned to follow the rules & regulations. That he doesn't have any deep well of autonomy. Andor pushed him to his brink. Made him realize this is what he had to do. But without Andor, he reverts back to having no autonomy again. So in essence he is dying while trying. If that makes any sense.

We assume the other guy on Ferrix is an imperial undercover officer watching Marva 24/7, not Cinta. Dedre said in the last episode that "we have eyes on her" constantly.

A lot of people have commented that Luthen is ruthless, but it makes me think of Churchill, who allowed the bombing of Coventry to happen to protect secret that we’d cracked the German enigma machine. I think it gives their struggle against the Empire a sense of scale. Great performance by Skarsgard - which makes me even more frustrated with Dune, where they turned him into Brando’s Colonel Kurtz!

Epic episode. Incredible performances from Serkis and Skarsgård. My only concern is by leaving the control room guards alive, Andor is vulnerable to recognition when they put out wanted pics.

I agree - Perrin could have already worked out the arranged marriage with Davo. Their daughter is very much in Perrin’s camp, so she might get upset at Mon that she said no.

    • @MercenaryPen

on the other hand, much as the daughter is in Perrin's camp at the moment, he may not have told her all his plans, and might be seeking to pin the blame to Mon Mothma for a decision that might be less popular.

Prediction: the emperor will order the complete massacre of all staff and prisoners that we left behind in the prison, then order that it would serve as am example to all future riots.

Remember early on the inmate that killed himself. I bet he was a brought back after his sentence was up to that floor only he did not tell anyone.

    • @Daniel_Huffman

It’s doubtful. Veemoss has been in the prison long enough for his fellow inmates to know him, if not by name, then as the tall guy from Table Three. Additionally, the prisoners being sent back to prison when they are "released" only started happening after the Public Order Resentencing Directive, passed in the aftermath of the Aldhani Heist of 5 BBY. Finally, the Imperials typically sent "released" prisoners to other prisons, presumably ones specifically for these inmates. The reason why the shift found out was because the prison guards accidentally sent a "released" man to a different part of the same prison. For all this to happen to Veemoss in the span of little over a month is unlikely, especially for it to happen twice under this theory.

    @Fandom Zone,
"I said I THINK OF YOU constantly, and I do."
    "What do you sacrifice?"
"The CALM. KINDNESS. KINSHIP. LOVE. I've given up all chance at INNER PEACE. I've made my mind a sunless base. I share my dreams with GHOSTS. I wake up every day to an equation I made 15 years ago for which there's only one conclusion, I'm damned for what I do. My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight has set me on a path from which there is no escape. I yearn to be a savior against injustice without contemplating the costs and by the time I look down there's no longer any ground beneath my feet. What is...what is my sacrifice? I'm condemned to use the tools of my enemy...to defeat them. I burn my decency for someone else's future. I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see. The ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude, so what do I sacrifice? EVERYTHIGN! Stay with me Lonnie. I need all the heroes I can get."
    Ummm...I think Luthen's a Jedi!
We saw his Kyber crystal when he dropped Cassian off on Aldani, and I'm pretty sure we saw something special in this week's episode in Two Tubes hands. The Dark side of the Force defeated the Jedi, and it sounds like Luthen has given in a little to the Dark side for some revenge. He's not evil per se, but as we see here, he's willing to do whatever it takes to win.
Luthen's a bad ass Jedi. He's hiding in plain sight on Coruscant! And I have a feeling his hiding with his Padawan! Though Kleya could be just another Jedi...or she's just a person. Still, I think she's a Jedi like Luthen and his subordinate--she asked him to tell her to turn off the radio, so there's a command structure between them. The urge to help surfaces every now and again, as we saw with the call from Ferix, and he would have answered if not for Kleya keep him on mission.
We might not get to see robes and lightsaber battles galore, but I do believe we do have a Jedi in this story.
