Interesting point regarding the side panels. I have had to replace a few front panels at approx £200 ! I contacted Vaillant a couple of times to ask why the insulation couldn't be sold separately at a fraction of the cost and got the following responses :- "I don't know.. That's the way they come". And the more concerning answer " that installers could not be relied upon to fit the insulation safely ! We can do everything else on a boiler but not apply insulation ! Quiet shocking
Had to do a front panel a few weeks ago and that came in at £170 plus vat… and that was without me messing about getting the thing. Nonsense for what it is… how can you charge £250 ish for replacing a front cover (?!)) I really should start stripping more boilers as i take them out instead of giving scrapman a bell.
