Thanks , I can write Imaginators now :P It's the same process just need to do it 2,3 times until you get the dump name on both of the files , min 09:00 . If it does not work first time, try again from the first step. Read the card, then write the card. It's because it gives a read error and you need to do it again. Some cards I made it to work from the first try, some needed 2,3 tries. I had one for Pain- Yatta that I had to do it 8 times until it worked. I closed the app a few times and deleted all the dump files from the Temp folder of the app and it worked finally. ;)
do you have discord? no matter how many times i repeat the process or reinstall software i cant get it on the 2nd dump file. i have no clue what im doing wrong
I have no idea what happened but I can't get the cards to work. The four cards that came with the reader worked flawlessly. I ordered cards people say have works, from the same company as the cardreader, and I've gotten nothing. I don't know what else to try.

I genuinely don't understand what I'm doing wrong and information is so scarce on this. I did EVERYTHING right up to 11:38 but Im getting a "63 blocks out of 64" message and its hurting my brain so bad. Ive been using LEXI cards and they work great, no problems, super easy to mess with. Then I get a 30 pack of 1k nfc cards that look and supposedly function the same but they just dont.

Did you do everything the exact same like I did in the video? You might also have to turn of your antivirus. Not sure why but its worth a shot imo. If you did both of those things i can try to upload a copy of the one i already have extracted for you to try
MSI Installer for PC/SC Driver doesn't install for me I keep getting an error saying (missing the package file for installation) any assistance would be greatly appreciated
I can’t get the file dump down into the blank tag. Any other ideas? I have everything downloaded, light on the reader is finicky (some no light, red, or green), read tag went good, and using tags that came with it.
If you haven't already try to follow the steps other youtubers did because i made this video after following every guide and video i could and none of them worked for me so if you are still having trouble I'm sorry but i have no clue what to do. I say just play around with it until you notice something good and work off that. try to understand how the program is working for you and build off that and eventually you will get it. it took me days to figure out how it worked for me but maybe for some reason it works a little differently for others
Thank you. I even uninstalled everything and started over. Which I might do again when I get the cards in the mail. Right now I am guessing that it might be 1) the included 2 cards that came with the device is the inaccurate cards needed to file dumb the skylander and/or 2) the device is not working properly as I’m not sure about the light indicator.
Maybe a third option that could have caused an issue is the program that I had to download to be able to open the driver for the ACR. I don’t know if that matters or not.

@@jobmarsman1718 Working 100 % now. It may be easier if you put your downloaded DUMPS in the dump directory of the prgram. Also when writing, make sure you select the same file twice, i found selecting the dump once only had it in the one section and it needs to appear top and bottom.
I got a card working, but when i put on a fresh new card on without anything, it keeps the data and says its been read and writable, and when i write it it says aborting when i didn't click anything.

hi, i managed to successfully write to cards. well, the short thing is that you will have to write twice in a single run the bin files so you won't have to rewrite it.
It works, after doing it I just stop the program from the task manager and it lets me do it with no problem on the next card, sadly now I my reader wont read my cards, it will constantly put an INPUT/Output error and finish with Symbols no key found... Ill have to buy new cards to try to get other skylanders since It ended up bricking one of my skylander cards
I am having a problem installing the MSI Installer. When I try to open the file after I completed the downloading, the computer gives me options on which app I should use to open the file instead of being a normal folder. The only app I have that works for the file is Word, and it only gives me pages of codes. Which app do I need in order to properly install the MSI Installer?
I have Gen2 NFC cards, so when i use magic card gen2 it works perfectly, but when i try to wipe the nfc card (change uid to 00000000) it just doesn't work, and it just says: no keys found. and i've followed your guide many times. And sometimes, it does (almost) work, but i get the error: nfc_initiator_init: Input / Output Error. and when i click on read again, it just does nothing. very weird.

I dont think so, and if you can, i think the process is much harder. I might make a video though since it eliminates the need and cost for a card reader.

Most likely if its not a software issue its the cards. I liked the cards i use in the description. If that doesnt work then it must be a software issue

Have you had any luck doing this with the Imaginators characters? I can successfully make cards for Giants, Superchargers etc but all the Imaginators ones I've tried either don't work at all or the game thinks the characters are corrupted (but can't repair them). I am using the dumps in your links above.
I dont have the Imaginators games, so im not sure if they work. I can try to get an emulated version of the game and see if it works on there, but i cant do that this week. If the files i have dont work after doing some testing, ill have to look for new dump files. Ive had an issue with that emulating the game in the past and just downloaded a different set of .sky files to use on an emulated portal within dolphin emu but ill have to look for dumps now. If i end up having to find the .sky files again and convert them to dumps (if that even works) Ill make a separate video on that.
@@MalevolentAB No problem (and don't worry if it is too much trouble). I'll keep searching around and see if others have been able to do Imaginators. I'm confident my process is ok given I've got them working for the other games.
@@sarahsmart5024 I'm not sure what set up you are using but I was using the Android App (MiFARE Classic Tool) and that was the issue. It says it writes the UID but it doesn't appear to even though the box is ticked, the problem with the Imaginators figures is they have a higher level of security/encryption than the older games. Unless you can do a 1:1 clone of absolutely everything from the figure it won't work. So for anyone else who reads this in the future, in the end I got a USB ACR122U Tag writing device, used the Windows version of the tag writing tool (MiFARE Windows Tool) and the Imaginators character dumps are cloning perfectly now.
@@MalevolentAB Just found the google drive version and even when I download the folder from there, it still only shows up as one file everytime I download it.
For me, every time I try to write a tag, when I click on finish, the number of blocks on the card is 63 out of 64, and the card doesn't work. Is this normal? Another thing is, when I try to read the card multiple times, the error keeps coming, so I do the same thing as in the video to change the UID, but my card still has the error. Someone can help ???
Hey is there a list of compatible cards anywhere? The ones linked are a bit too expensive and i found a few with to the same likeness that were half the cost
Maybe try buying smaller packs if they are too expensive. Also if the cards have the exact same properties as what i listed in the description u should be good. Last time i tried to go for cheaper cards and didnt know fully what to look in cards i ended up getting the wrong ones that dont work with skylanders
@@MalevolentAB -hello. After everything arriving i went to test it out and it the tutorial works until i place it on the portal. In Mifare it says 'finished' and it says the name in the blank tag dump file. When i place it on the portal nothing happens however- Edit: Nevermind, seems like a faulty card - worked on a different one

Hello! Do you know why I am keep getting the error message when I open the app which says that "the ACR122U tag reader driver doesn't seem to be installed" (I have already installed it). And also when I close that window, the app simply says that no tag detected on reader even tough the card is on the reader. And the reader makes a beep sound when I put the card on it which I suppose means that It detects the card but the app somehow doesn't. Are these 2 problems related? How could I fix these problems?
You could just try re-plugging it in. Its happened to me before and re-plugging it in works. right click on windows icon, click device management, click on smart card readers, right click on ACR122U and click uninstall. After that you will need to re-plug it in and install the ACR112U driver again. If that doesn't work do the same thing and try to search automatically for drivers rather then uninstalling them. If your still having trouble let me know. edit: yes im pretty sure these 2 problems are related

Hello! I'm trying to replicate your process, and it's worked for me once after much deliberation. MWT frequently selects the wrong dump input field, making me overwrite my skylander dump instead of loading it onto the card. Is there any way to circumvent this issue and decide in which field the selected dump file goes?

just click your local disc (C:) and you will see libusbk. click the folder and run the uninstaller

The pre release version of mifare is no longer up. can i use the new one that is bugged and it will still work?

Im not sure honestly, could have to do with the drivers installed on the card or the software used to put the data on the cards

i do every thing in the video but i cant get the dump file in the blank card slot and the portal dose not recognize the card

Most likely if its not a software issue its the cards. I liked the cards i use in the description. If that doesnt work then it must be a software issue
@@MalevolentAB I've seen you talk about the possibility that it isn't a zero-sector card. Could that be the case? Im trying to send the cards back currently, but maybe I'll try to do it on a different computer before.

@@MalevolentAB You didn’t talk about the sector 0 in the video, you spoke about it in this comment section. It’s fine though, I think I really bought the wrong cards. I’ll try again on a different computer, but if it doesn’t work there, I’ll buy new cards

Is there anywhere to find the dump file for the Cursed Tiki Temple Blue Chest? I have only been able to locate the Lost Imaginite Mines Chest dump file.
Do you know where the ".key.dump" files come from? I have the ".dmp" files from my originally played skylanders and don't know if they would work

not sure, all i know is the stuff i used because it worked for me so i cant really say, but if the specs of what u have match what i have described in the description and video then it should
Have you had any luck doing this with the Imaginators characters?
I can successfully make cards for Giants, Superchargers etc but all the Imaginators ones I've tried either don't work at all or the game thinks the characters are corrupted (but can't repair them). I am using the dumps in your links above.
I dont have the Imaginators games, so im not sure if they work. I can try to get an emulated version of the game and see if it works on there, but i cant do that this week. If the files i have dont work after doing some testing, ill have to look for new dump files. Ive had an issue with that emulating the game in the past and just downloaded a different set of .sky files to use on an emulated portal within dolphin emu but ill have to look for dumps now. If i end up having to find the .sky files again and convert them to dumps (if that even works) Ill make a separate video on that.
@@MalevolentAB No problem (and don't worry if it is too much trouble). I'll keep searching around and see if others have been able to do Imaginators. I'm confident my process is ok given I've got them working for the other games.

I had the same problem. i tried making ro bow and it just said its corruped and cant be repaired.
@@sarahsmart5024 I'm not sure what set up you are using but I was using the Android App (MiFARE Classic Tool) and that was the issue.
It says it writes the UID but it doesn't appear to even though the box is ticked, the problem with the Imaginators figures is they have a higher level of security/encryption than the older games. Unless you can do a 1:1 clone of absolutely everything from the figure it won't work.
So for anyone else who reads this in the future, in the end I got a USB ACR122U Tag writing device, used the Windows version of the tag writing tool (MiFARE Windows Tool) and the Imaginators character dumps are cloning perfectly now.

For me, every time I try to write a tag, when I click on finish, the number of blocks on the card is 63 out of 64, and the card doesn't work. Is this normal? Another thing is, when I try to read the card multiple times, the error keeps coming, so I do the same thing as in the video to change the UID, but my card still has the error. Someone can help ???
When I do all the steps you said to do, it shows the orange error message "ERROR: only Mifare Classic is supported"
Nothing is working. Cards never write enough bits and reader doesn’t register half the time. Any help would be appreciated
Hey is there a list of compatible cards anywhere? The ones linked are a bit too expensive and i found a few with to the same likeness that were half the cost
Maybe try buying smaller packs if they are too expensive. Also if the cards have the exact same properties as what i listed in the description u should be good. Last time i tried to go for cheaper cards and didnt know fully what to look in cards i ended up getting the wrong ones that dont work with skylanders

@@MalevolentAB -hello. After everything arriving i went to test it out and it the tutorial works until i place it on the portal. In Mifare it says 'finished' and it says the name in the blank tag dump file. When i place it on the portal nothing happens however-

i had bought 40 nfc cards that are apparently the wrong type. i got mifare utralight instead of mifare 1k. is there a way i can use those or do i need to return them?

Do you know why I am keep getting the error message when I open the app which says that "the ACR122U tag reader driver doesn't seem to be installed" (I have already installed it). And also when I close that window, the app simply says that no tag detected on reader even tough the card is on the reader. And the reader makes a beep sound when I put the card on it which I suppose means that It detects the card but the app somehow doesn't.
Are these 2 problems related?

You could just try re-plugging it in. Its happened to me before and re-plugging it in works. right click on windows icon, click device management, click on smart card readers, right click on ACR122U and click uninstall. After that you will need to re-plug it in and install the ACR112U driver again. If that doesn't work do the same thing and try to search automatically for drivers rather then uninstalling them. If your still having trouble let me know.

Hello! I'm trying to replicate your process, and it's worked for me once after much deliberation. MWT frequently selects the wrong dump input field, making me overwrite my skylander dump instead of loading it onto the card. Is there any way to circumvent this issue and decide in which field the selected dump file goes?

The scanner will not turn on, and no matter what i do, unplug it and plug it back in, etc. i would do anything for this to stop.
Does your computer recognize it in Device Manager? If so, right-click and press uninstall, then re-install all the drivers
