    Considering that these chunk accounts are all about utilizing unusual or unknown training methods, I think the deep dives are perfectly fitting. I knew of the dungeon's existence, but not about the different levels of all the shortcuts. Keep all the results of your research coming at us!

    The longer OSRS exists, more hard and pain-in-the-ash content (growing in the difficulty and pain-ness) will be discovered and put to use in the form of a YT series. Godspeed unto any poor soul who tries to, and finds, a unique thing to do in this game for the sake of a YT series in the coming years.

    I was just thinking the other day about old agility training methods before rooftop courses became the defacto meta. Great series and you're really getting close to all the tasks now. One idea I had was since you started with two chunks unlocked, maybe you continue to unlock two chunks every time, either next to each other or two independent chunks to add every roll.

  • @darksill

    pro tip when researching content this old use rsc wiki, of course its possible it was changed in the rsc to rs2 transition but in case of the dungeon it states this "Balancing on ledge repeatedly results in a maximum of 27,900 Agility experience per hour. You stop failing the ledge obstacle in the Yanille Agility Dungeon at level 65. Swinging on the ropeswing results in a maximum of 29,500 Agility experience per hour. "

    So, you're Runescape History moment opened up a lot of memories for me. I used to train down there in RS Classic in 2003 and early into RS2 during 2004. In RS classic, there would normally be a couple people in there, either fighting chaos warriors, or druids. I knew my goal at the time was to get to the Chaos druids, because it was the best place to get herbs at, that was close to a bank and train herblaw, having high herblaw meant you could make super sets, and basically have it made. Super Sets were highly valuable, as you could trade them for a R2H, and just have tons of cash, which would eventually let you buy a dragon med, and square shield (both more valuable then phats at the time).
    I really miss this dungeon, and even today I'll check it out in RS3 to get nostalgia from it. Salarin is also really forgotten about in RS3, and now has a bunch of unintended methods that can damage him, which is really funny/sad to see.

    • @JoshIsnt
      @JoshIsnt  8 месяцев назад

      It’s cool to hear this type of context from someone who playing at the time, funny to know that super sets were peak content. Glad they’ve kept Salarin pretty true to the original vision in osrs!

    • @Bladecom

      Also wanted to mention at the time, Torstols were dead content for the longest time, as Zamorak brews were the only thing you could make, which were always considered bad.

    What can I say? It’s been a good breeding year for ducks. Also loved you annoying Mod Ash 😂 awesome content mate

      I should’ve known this was a feature when you put the ducks AND the drakes in there

    I remember stacking some double xp and doing the trellis hundreds of times when I started RS3 lmao. I think it's outclassed by the nature grotto jump settled used to do now.

    Awesome series! At 33:46 would be amazing if you could indicate the skills that got leveled in the episode with a +52 for example on the agility skill tile.

    Hearing you talk about the gameplay loop of the dungeon, it reminds me a bit of the hallowed Sepulchre

      Hmmm well given that I actually suck at this game it makes sense that I wouldn't mention it cus I've never done it lmao

      @@JoshIsnt all good, you're better than I. I started a HC ironman. Died to a man, got 99 firemaking at wintertod and then gave up. I think it comes from both being dungeons that you need agility to get through and they're dangerous. Only differences from what I can tell is there is some randomness to sepulchre and sepulchre has more modern mechanics
