No Railroad Crossing Gates Or Train Horns Allowed?!

- After running outside to catch this train, I decided to drive to Iron Mountain where there is a NO TRAIN HORN ordinance. That along with no gates across any railroad crossing always keeps them on their toes, or horn if needed.. They can blow it, but by law shouldn't be..

I think you are the most dedicated rail fan on YT. I mean, you literally ran to record it. That is what makes this channel and you exceptional. Thanks for the wonderful narratives and coverage.
Glad you enjoy it!
Jason the doorbell camera shot would make you the ultimate Door Dash delivery person. Glad you were able to catch this train as this one was like a lifeline with wood for LP as well as much-needed glue plus about enough empties to load for a week. I never get tired of that no left turn sign simply because it's hard to find and they don't build them in that style anymore. That was a fine run by and nobody really ran the signal and your eardrums are safe from the sharp curve. For our viewers the MQRX covered Hopper is a smaller leasing firm. (MxQuairie & Associates with some French ties) but now attached to Wells Fargo which owns the two gondolas behind it
That’s interesting and cool
LMAO
Thanks for the morning train fix. Appreciate it much!
Good morning Jason
You are the best dedicated fan access I have ever seen
Good Morning, Jason, thanks for the video, Have a great Day
Slow train through Iron Mountain and a green freddy on the back thanks Jason !
Good morning I enjoyed the video👍👍
Great video Jason
The NO LEFT TURN indicators were interesting...first time I've ever seen a railroad-style warning light with an amber lens instead of a red!
Mega log hauler, oh yeah! 😅❤
And the Squeaky Korner...
Using the bell through town is a good option.....
If the management at ELS was smart, they would upgrade the track through Iron Mountain, remove the crossing signals, and barrel through at 30 mph, without the bell & horn, then see what kind of idiots would try to beat the train.
If the mowing crew was smart more at it and not complain about being recorded
I love small Wisconsin youtube channels. I myself is a small channel from Wisconsin
I counted 14 center beam cars. Gotta be good revenue!
Another great view of ELS through your neighborhood! Thanks Jason! I thought only in Maine did they have a signal “no left turn”. Old town/ French Island Maine!!!
These "No Left/Right Turn" signals were installed in Passaic, NJ in the 1950's. It was part of a crossing signal modernization along Main Av in downtown Passaic.
Thanks for saving our ears from the squeaky wheels
Great shoestring catch! Question, have you ever come across the mole crew assessing a questionable piece of track you filmed like the rocker you caught by your house? Great shot in Iron Mountain by the way, avoided the squeaks and caught the idiots.
Thanks, Jason
Love trains in the UP. Where does all that wood go? Just got home from visiting family in SC. There's a lot of wood harvested, but it's mostly pine for lumber. The sawdust piles at the lumber mill are HUGE.
Not as much pulpwood as there once was heading to LP by rail. Good news iron ore fines should be loading onto rail cars in Channing starting in June. Seasonal move during the summer months
I believe we still have a few of those same old style no left turn signals in our downtown Orlando, FL area. Usually always where a road parallels right next to the tracks, and a crossing signal with or without a gate wouldn't work out due to space limitations.
They still make and install them to this day...... Western Cullen Hayes Model A457-L.
is that a still working wrrs mini bell i hear at 5:32 ?
Hey jassons maybe you should get rail way scanner walky talky like jaw tooth has so you don't miss a train☺☺☺🚂🚃🚃
I have one. If FRED isn't squawking, I won't hear it.
Good to know
My grand son said he likes your vidios
If the train is still far away, I see why people just blow passed the crossing
Nice video Jason, you are 4000 away from 100000, but i was 97000 away from 100000.......thats a long way for me. Please give us many videos. thanks and greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
Youn will hit 100k on memorial day at 2pm
100,000 subscribers by July 4.
they need to put in a degreaser there
Well you had to run your butt off at the beginning 😂
legally for quiet zones they either have to have quad gates and a cement divider in the middle of the road, or they have to have the divider and just a single gate on either end for direction of travel. i have no idea how they can get away with making the railroad not blow the horn there.
.+25 cars and 501 engine
No Train Horn areas are asinine. If you can't live with the noise of a train, don't live there. Don't buy property super cheap (because of the train) then pass noise ordinances for the "quality of life"...the property was super cheap for a reason!
No left turn means block the intersection?
In no uncertain terms!!!!
