Hi Robert, thanks for your reviewing video of Creality CR-Laser Falcon.Your review content is very professional and honest, very informative for users. As known, there are many types of wood, they have different densities. Even under the same thickness, it may be necessary to set different parameters to complete the cutting. We have tested balsa wood that can cut 12mm while basswood can cut 6-7mm by one pass. If possible, you're suggested to share a video by cutting 3-4 type different kind of wood with different thickness and you can share your recommended parameters with us. That's would be very helpful!

I just bought one of these 10W laser modules for my 3D printer. It’s an Ender 3 S1 Plus and the laser module attaches to the print head carrier with a bracket that comes with the kit. I’m still waiting for it to come in but I assume I will have Z axis control being it will be attached to a printer that has XYZ axis. I will update if anyone is interested. I also bought an air assist that Creality makes for these lasers so that should solve the depth of cut issues.

11:20 if you're not familiar with basswood, I really recommend looking it up. It's a nice niche between balsa and light ply. Used a lot in RC planes for it's strength to weight characteristics. It's not ply, and therefore no risk of formeldahyde like most ply has. Formaldehyde ply is dangerous to use lasers on.

I would NOT use it in a living space unless you have a small enclosure and ventilation to outside. Check Amazon for laser enclosures, they make little tents you can put laser engravers in. You will still need to use an exhaust fan and vent it out the window. But without these, it shouldn't be used in your primary living space. Even in my shop, I have to keep my fume extraction system on for a few hours after a short cut. They make a LOT of smoke and fumes.
