Probably one of the most underrated horror films I've ever watched
It was alright I wouldn't call this the best vampire movie. The vampire were like zombies you didn't need a stake or silver to kill them. Some of them even died from shot gun blast.
@@tony-zw1ejit was gud, scary vampires not these romantic, plastic vamps
@lilianhaggland2031 My all time fav is blade 2. And the van helsing movie was good to.
@@tony-zw1ejtrash vampire stories with annoying characters that purposely make you mad instead of wanting more.
one of the best vampire movies i ever watched a real classic
Jlnxer do you want a boyfriend
Agreed!!!
Yup true.
Vampire representation in this movie is flat and bland.
Absolutely the BEST VAMPIRE MOVIE 😊😊
Living in north or south of the planet might be hard for vampires if they can't immigrate. In winters they can rampage as much they want but in summers they can't go even outside because the sun is always up.
They could always get a year's supply of sunblock
@@hikari1690 native Finn here. My skin burns even If i use block. Im whiter than albino. My balls are pink. Thank you nature for winter.
Silly fool winter in Alaska is summer in Antarctica
Unfortunately vampires love sleeping, they could go into torpor for the summer months and wake up just a bit hungry but still go to go.
@@holymacarenafin2319 the guy who invented vampires might've seen one of yall and decided to make a story lol
This is actually a great movie. The tone is really eerie and the vampires are scary and merciless
Yeah, I loved the screams and screeching they make in the movie. Made me scared sh*tless when I was younger and my brother brought this movie to watch
0:49 I love how her car got totaled and she's just happy in the next scene like nothing happened
🤣🤣
I know what you mean but i would be happy not being in the vehicle that was hit!

This was my first horror movie by accident and it scared me soo bad I didn’t watch anything bloody or scary for like a decade. I laugh now just because of how badly this movie messed me up lol
You thought you rented Fargo from Blockbuster and for the first half hour, you were like this dark comedy is just dark...
This movie stuck with my mind .... specially last scene......❤️❤️❤️❤️🎊 I wish sequel would have been as impacting as the first part
@@akashrodge5431 or a prequel will do 👍🏼
This and the Dawn of the Dead (2004) messed me up as a kid. It took Zombieland to make me less scared of horror movies (but only after a year or two Zombieland released).
For me it was Event Horizon. Even now, that film still creeps me out.
The first time I saw this movie I thought it was so annoying that they didn't translate the vampires dialogue...then I realized after watching the entire thing a second time that my tv display settings were cutting off the subtitles...I'm a moron
I watched this on DVD, and in the extras it had the first episode for the anime "Blood+". That was how I was introduced to anime, and it is still one of my favorite shows to this day.
Wild. But a decent way to join the anime community
This movie was scary when I first watched it as a kid, but now I think it's a great movie.
Scary horror movies are great anyways tho
This is a gem of a movie, these vampires don't sparkle.
What you talking about?
@@mathinho1237 in the Twilight saga, vampires sparkle in the sunlight
I’ve been looking for this movie forever! Thank you!😊
The clip of the kid being attacked at 4:18 always got to me.
This movie was brutal but made it so much better
As an adult the last scene makes me get the feels
The vampires in this movie are actually scary amd merciless. How they actually should be...Great movie and highly recommended. Although the sequel sucked big way.
Apocalypse always happens in small american towns
Josh Hartnett a beast
This is one of my favorite childhood vampire movie I was sad when the main character die in the end to safe them but that's the best part too...
Same me too.
At the very end when the screen is black, you can hear Eben take a clear breath.
To me at least, suggesting he lives.
One of my favorite movies of all time.
Svalbard: no sun for just a month? That’s like half a night for us *laughs in icicles
The sacrifice at the end makes the film great 👍
This is the first vampire , horror movie that gave me goosebumps ..
Lack of sun doesn't turn them. Vampires arrive afterwards.
One of the best horror films ever.
Woah, I really liked that. I've thought of this movie since it came out but have never actually watched it.
I saw it in theaters and the opening scene is just this huge boat coming to shore with that crazy guy and the way it's filmed is like it's silent but so loud at the same time, like a silent echo or something aahahaha that doesn't make sense but kinda like how when you have a head cold? It elicits that strange sense. I was also pretty stoned as well
@@jbear3478 Lmao, I getcha. That's interesting
30 Days of Night is my favorite vampire movie ever.
If 30 Days of Night isn’t your favorite vampire film, don’t speak to me.
I watch this movie 3-4 times a year
I need a SEQUEL and a SERIES of this.
True vampire movie. Unlike twilight.
how did the little girl manage to live so long lol
Probably as more bait since people have way more sympathy for a child than the adult woman
30 days of night. Love it
This was a great movie. Always watch it when it comes on.
This is a great film. Mel Brooks nephew made the novel that this film is based on.
I'm a few hundred miles away from Barrow and I can tell you that there are some interesting stories that are told about creatures up there. We've got all sorts of paranormal things up here.

world's best vampire movie and i was thinking of watching this movie weeks ago but i was very happy to see that the recap was made
This was the best idea for a vampire movie , ever
i’ve watched this movie a total of 4 times and each time have been left with terrifying nightmares
idk if i should watch this video
First saw this movie a few years ago.. I loved it
Best vampire movie
You said basement instead of attic. Yup gonna be that guy. Lol. Love all the videos
2:46 “Rifle”
I love this movie. definitely one i havent seen in a long time
wish there were more good vampire movies like these.
The best vampire movie EVER. END OF,BALL PARK,BOTTOM LINE
This was one of the few movies that scared the shit out of me as a kid til I was just about shivering. One of my favorites alongside The Ring as well as one of the most underrated movies out there.
Didn’t the bald vampire to the left of Marlow at 12:10 die earlier in the grinder? It’s been a while, but remember thinking that was a blooper.
Nah, just bros. The one at the end is a snazzy dresser, but his bear brother just puts like duct tape over his old shabby clothes...
but yes, I think I remembered seeing this and wondering what he was doing there! That, and why would killing their leader vamp Marlow just make the others run away and not just bed down in that building the others were hiding in? Then again, I was raised on Lost Boys vampire rules along with a few others like Fright Night. Just gotta kill the "Master" vampire that turned the others and then you can be freed from his control or in some instances, turned back human with a very bad tummy ache!
if the vampires wanna stay for a while, then they shouldn’t be killing everybody all at once they’re gunna run outta people to get blood from right?
The vampires strategy was to dine and dash, destroying evidence that they were there in the first place. I don't exactly remember the sequel but they attacked only lone settlements and villages in middle of nowhere
I remember watching the comic book explanation of this on another channel. It's cool they made it into a movie.
The stranger in the beginning is that guy from 3:10 to Yuma 😮 love that
Ben Foster was everywhere there for a minute
"These people jump on him and kill him in order to feed..it turns out they're vampires"
Lmfao
The residents aren’t the ones who are turned into vampires. They come from the sea
This was a good movie
Forget Zombies. There's Vampires.
Way harder to defeat
Neither of which are real.
@@Ahahahhaaah If they always kill all the survivors and destroy the evidence then how would we know?
Zombies though? Definitely real! Just staring at screens all day long or for hours at a time with blank expressions while typing "lol". But seriously, zombies' bodies would burn, rot, and deteriorate. Zombie apocalypse? Just wait for winter! No circulation in their bodies means no HEAT! They would freeze in place while standing of barely moving around! It would be the most epic game of Whack-a-Mole ever!!!
@@sammywise2001 what drugs are you on my guy. Ffs .

❤ LOVE this movie!!!
I remember seen the comic books at the libery & then when the movie came was the ahit , this is a horror classic best vampire movie
You mean they're hunted by vampires.
Turned the residents into vampires' McDonald's
Its an interesting concept of vampire acting like pack of wolves
12:28 Wouldn't that cause her to become a vampire as well? If so, then wouldn't she die from sunlight hence, making the sacrifice somewhat in vain, given the fact that he turned himself into a vampire just to save Stella and Gale from getting burnt or killed by the vampires.
well only if the director wanted it to
no its different, she is just getting a kiss from a vampire. Its only when you get bitten, does it mean your bloodstream is exposed to the virus and you start to turn. There were other incidents for example when the vampires either hit or grabbed people but they weren't infected, so physical contact isn't enough
@@radscorpion8 but he injected himself with vampire blood to become a vampire, and he was bleeding when he was kissed
shes exempted since it was a goodbye kiss
👇
She's not affected because she is protected....
By the plot armour
this is nothing, the sun in the UK has never appeared
7:16 Vampires can’t enter a home unless invited?
The vampire Probably did because none of th own the house
Only in certain iterations. Vampires are supposed to have reflections either 🤷🏾♂️
Thanks for the recap.
I thought vampires were the ones who hated sunlight !!!! I have been wrong my entire life !
People are getting ready to "hibernate" 😂😂😂😂
havent you already covered this movie like 5 times?
awesome video
The title is very misleading, the residents don’t turn into vampires. They are attacked by vampires that arrive on a boat.
I saw this and the sequel the latter story wise left off from the latter and took place in Las angelas hopefully you can recap that one .
It does not make sense that Eban was the only one to have a slow transformation to the point where he could kiss the girl and not bite her
0:39 oddest looking gas I’ve ever seen…must be that Beverly Hillsbilly’s gas.
movie: 30 Days of Night
I watch this coz I know I won't ever go to snowland ,and for the beautiful background music
Every winter in the far North of Norway, Sweden, Finland & Russia:
Well, the no sun part at least. Tho when it returns everyone is white and ghoulish enough they might as well be vampires 🤣💀
Just in case some one is wondering, the title of the movie is 30 days of night
I watched this movie when it first came out when I was 15, I was not ready 😅
This film shows how social standards have deteriorated. Those vampires are slobs. I'm old enough to remember when vampires wore proper formal evening dress when feasting on human blood,
Yesterdat I read the comics and I found out that Eben was brought back to life and he goes back to his town killing every one, and start looking for his wife who she was killed by an fbi agent in LA by mistake. When he knew that he went to LA after assembling more vampires, and they attack an fbi headquarter in LA killing and turning almost every one to a vampire, and taking his wife's ashes so he can find away to bring her back the same way he was brought back to life.
There ain't no County or Sheriffs in Alaska...
Love this! Watched it 50x lol
This one: 10/10
part 2: 6/10
This is a really good movie.
Wonder why this movie was removed for good on screens if I remember well it was called 40 days and 40 nights in the end she cut her wrist to bring back her husband to live and it worked but he became a more powerful vampire
Such a fantastic movie.
Still one of my all-time favorite horror films! 😅
Nice Man thanks

I hate it when these vampires migrate without showing their passports.
A hella good movie. Scary and plausible for the setting....boo!
The title is misleading. The residents don’t “turn into vampires” because the sun is down.
Danny Huston - Marlow the scariest vampire ever!!!!
