    Nice review, thank you. It's nice to hear someone actually review the product instead of just complaining or saying something along the lines, "It's crap. It's the same as the previous wheel. WTF is Logitech thinking?" I like how you seemed very unbiased in your experience with it, and brought the facts. I just bought one (at a discount even) and am excited to try it out. It is my first wheel, coming from a controller. I didn't want to jump in too deep with a Thrustmaster or something more. I've used Logitech products in the past and have been satisfied with them and their customer support.

      Thanks Ali. It's a weird time to review products because prices have gone up so much, makes it more important to be fair. I actually enjoyed the wheel and I know a fair few people who have had their G29/G920 for years (some with the G27 still going quite happily). The T300 is good, but the Logitech pedals are better and I think TrueForce is actually enjoyable. How much was the discount, out of interest?

      Cheers! I think if you know you will stick to sim racing and can afford it, the mid-range Fanatec and Thrustmaster stuff is great. Beyond that, the gains are much smaller but the price certainly isn't. But the CSL Elite and the three-pedal set is a lot more than the Thrustmaster G923 so if the price drops it will still make sense for some.

      Just today i solved that problem. First you need to open the plastic cover that protects the mechanics of the pedals by unscrewing the pedals and 14 silver screws from the bottom. Then you need to unscrew the pedal and take out the little rubber part that actually makes the pedal so hard. Then you just use a razor or something sharp to make a big hole diagonally in that little rubber piece and voila. You break pedal doesnt feel like shit anymore. You can even take the rubber things out but I dont recommend it.

    I’ve had this and a g27. My opinion. Worth it over a g92you had one? No. If you don’t have a wheel then yes go for it. This will be better then good for over 80% of you all out there. The g923 true force is a difference. Only if you’re into gaming heavily will you notice it. Al in all 8/10. Shifter will be good enough. Anyone think the G29 pedals are better with a rig though? Because you'll be able to press as hard as you want, as intended without the pedal base slipping across the floor?
    If I'm correct, the reason for the progressive spring in the brake pedal this time round was due to the consumer feedback from the G29 brake rubber stop pedal. Being the pedal base slipping across floors as a result of having to involve more pressure when applying the brake, due to the rubber stop (which I think with a rig it gives a more realistic breaking experience my theory is) in the G29 model. The progressive spring with the new model just provides a lighter resistance as I can only guess statistically most users have the pedal bases on their floors which means less chance of the pedal base sliding or moving across the floor or carpet or whatever, maybe?
    Therefore, as I have a rig to securely bolt the pedal base to, I propose maybe using the G29 pedal set with the G923 wheel for a more optimum experience if you have a rig ? Or do you think the progressive spring is just simply better, thoughts please?

    • @ATribeCalledCars
      @ATribeCalledCars  2 года назад +1

      You want brake travel, make it too tough or short and you end up with less feedback and a system more like a switch. The newer system is nicer to use and more intuitive in my opinion. It's why the T-LCM pedals are better still - precision usually wins out.

      I would assume they work as the connection is the same but I didn't try. I would search the Interwebs to check as I'm sure you're not alone in asking. Update: Logitech confirmed via Twitter that it does work.

      You could see if there has been a firmware update by connecting to a laptop/PC and running the relevant software (G Hub I think). Although it could be a game-specific issue so worth a Google in case.

    So I have a thrustmaster t150 and it's okay, ffb is present but not informative for me and whenever I try to catch a slide quickly it loses calibration... Do you think the G923 is a clear upgrade from it? I play ACC, AC, Dirt 2.0, Project cars 2 and Gran turismo... I'm on ps4 too.
    Any help is much appreciated! Great video too dude!

    • @ATribeCalledCars
      @ATribeCalledCars  3 года назад +1

      I think the faster response of the G923 does make it better for catching a slide. Some would disagree but I think it's a more intuitive wheel. Hard to say if you would notice a huge difference though, so maybe see if there is a shop with one to test or see if a friend has one.

      It's a good wheel, if substantially cheaper than the G923 it's worth it. Thrustmaster T300RS is an option but the cheapest version has two pedals that are less effective but the wheel is a bit smoother.

    So they brung back feature from G25 ? I still wonder why it was not implemented more.
    If you play with G25 for example Gran Turismo 4 you will feel every bump on the road as your wheel will shake. Get high something like Cerbera Speed 16 and on N-ring it is straight up hard to drive because every time you hit bump at huge speed you feel that on wheel.
    I had G25 for a good while and only game that used it was GT4 from what i remember.
