      Pro tip: you can watch series at kaldroStream. I've been using it for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.

      Hector Boosted man many thanks Hector. I’m thinking about doing question and answer videos. I’m getting OVERWHELMED. With calls and texts and think if I do little segment where guys can ask direct questions and I answer them, that would be good.

    Even 4 strokes need assembly lube. That guy probably rebuilds his motors a lot!

    I'm fairly new to working on quads,,i mainly work on snowmachines,and i rebuilt more then my fair share of motors and i ALWAYS used twostroke oil when assembling a motor.it just a given plus the race mechanics also do it.ask team amsoil!

    Forgot bull, dont change your style of building for someone else. Do you, plain and simple. Also great how to video, I plan to follow this and the manual when I rebuild a stock motor.

  • @RTrevino16
    @RTrevino16 6 лет назад +1

    Kevin, now does any chariot/cool head work with the 4 mil rods/795 pistons? And do you need certain domes for that application?

    • @kevingalindo1
      @kevingalindo1  6 лет назад

      RTrevino16 yea you need to use 795 pistons for a 115 long rod and stroker domes.

  • @alex-sanddevil5093

  • @kevingalindo1

    They say “as soon as it starts it’ll get oil from the pre-mix, rings will seat faster.... “
    ok but what if you have complications and it takes 100 kicks to start due to trouble shooting ignition or something. Your sitting there kicking and kicking a bone dry engine. Not good.

      South Texas Banshee what dome you Used with these pistons (stroker re-cut) domes?

    • @chrislangdell117
      @chrislangdell117 5 лет назад +1

      You are right. Some say if your using a thicker oil you can glaze the cylinders on start up. Well maybe. However. Total Seal world famous piston ring manufacturers for Automotive and marine race engines recommend WD40 when assembling the engine and installing the pistons and rings.
      WD40 is thin enough to provide some lubrication but thin enough to be burned off in a few revolutions once its started.

    Hi there. I placed a new hotrod stroker kit whit vertex stroker pistons and a coolhead. Now the pistons hit the dome's.. what did i wrong? 😁😜

    Kevin, you don't use Yamahbond or, Threebond on your gaskets?

  • @KAMP8505

    Why wouldn’t you lube them when building them? You don’t put car engines together dry.

    So I have a question.. this may sound stupid but I recently purchased a banshee in pieces... I have a mod quad cool head and the guy gave me brand new domes for it, but the domes don’t slide right in they go in but stop at about 1/8 inch and can’t get them to go any further could they possibly be the wrong domes for that cool head? Is there another way I can contact you to show picture references??!! on what I’m seeing, and I also have a few more questions

  • @Profabdesigns
    @Profabdesigns 6 лет назад +2

    Hi Kevin,
    Just to clarify if it clicks more than once, you are indeed ‘over torquing’ the stud, not the nut. The real issue is stretching the stud overall length. If you do an actual analysis of the stretch, you will in fact see that it has lengthened. Now all that being said, we are NOT building a top Fuel Hemi here, and the minimal stretch is really insignificant to even worry about. Kevin already knows me we’ll enough to know, I’m a highly talented Machinist. So, guys and Gals, the person being rude to Kevin and Kevin himself were both correct. It’s all about perception. As for the guy acting poorly, maybe he could man up and apologize to Kevin, its the right thing to do. Kevin is just trying to provide a free service and assistance, and he’s a good Brother from another mother...too!!
