I thought it would be fun to take a look at what I believe were some of my best and worst decisions in my career as a therapist so far. Please note that these are just some of my reflections on my own decisions, and what might have been great advice for me might not be a great fit for someone else. Take it in with a grain of salt.
Also, I appreciate the freedom to use such a chill editing style this week. You'll see me back at my usual editing style again soon!

love the reframe of "what's stopping me from doing that?" that's a good one to reflect on, thank you! this is something my 'inner Girl Scout' could align to I think and seeing "failures as pivots"

Thank you for sharing these nuggets from your journey. I started my private practice in April and it has definitely been a ride that has challenged me in more ways than one I could have truly imagined. Your videos and blogs have given me comfort, insight, and hope to stay the course.

About to start my MSW this August after taking 3 years off from school, and I can say one of the BEST decisions I made was to not immediately start grad school after finishing my undergrad. The personal growth and business skills I've learned in my time off have been invaluable, and at 25 I feel so much more confident entering my therapy training than I know I would have been at 22. Not only do I have more practical knowledge and skills, but my "internal compass" is so much more solid.

Omg if i were to have a youtube channel this is exactly the same kind of video i would have. This is so true, and so many just don't talk about because it may feel awkward. Listen to your gut! Meditate or take walks in nature if you need to gain clarity. If something feels like it is too much for you, you need to set a boundary and move on.

I appreciated this video so much, and it validated a lot of what I went through in my schooling- I wish I had seen this back then and could have had you as a supervisor or mentor! I made some of the same mistakes and currently started a private practice, using your checklist. Thank you for helping me on my private practice journey! 😊
