This little 3-parter could EASILY be titled "How To Make Someone Smile" as that's almost all I found myself doing throughout. I appreciate your channel for it's all about - truly. Even tho it's just to day dream and enjoy learning what's out there. I grew up around the water and lately I find myself missing it as I get o***r (shhhh - don't say it). But in these times when it's harder to find causes to smile with all the strife of covid and all that is going on in the USA, THESE videos made me. I found myself just enjoying watching you both enjoy your life. I'm sure you appreciate how blessed you are - even though I know you've worked hard to get where you are. I hope you have an awesome day - thank you VERY much for the smiles you've given me today. Keep Up The Good Work!!!
My wife & I have just put an order in for our first boat which is being delivered March 2022. My brother put me onto your channel and I’m so glad he did. These three videos have been a wonderful intro to boating for a newbie and all your videos are entertaining and educational. Thank you to you and your good lady for taking the time to help others into the boating world, brilliant. 👏👏
Really enjoyed these 3 episodes. As I mentioned before, it brought back lots of happy memories of boating with my parents. We used to moor up on the visitor berths on the left as you enter Torquay. Not sure they’re visitor berths anymore. We visited 94-98 and I was always allowed to take our tender out for a blast over to brixham...first bit of teenage independence. Thanks for taking the time for sharing your day!
I've been watching your yacht tour videos for a couple months now, marvelling at all the luxury, but seeing you two actually going out and having fun is what really sold me on boating.
I laughed out loud when you said 3rd time lucky. One invariably finds when attempting to manouvre a boat in close confines that a coach party or large group of tourists will turn up and stop in their tracks to watch you, providing just that little bit of encouragement/stress that you need
Love your videos! I'm a young man who doesn't have any background in boating but you're really inspiring and watching these videos is like a friend teaching me how to enjoy boating. Many many thanks!
I like how you take turns with the driving and anchor handling duties. I also think it's a best practice for everyone aboard to know how to operate the boat safely in case the skipper is injured, takes ill, falls overboard, etc.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience. You are such a lovely couple and it really shines through how much you love being at sea. It was every bit as fun as your series £16,000 Ultimate Yach Charter which goes to show that it is not the size of the boat that matters but rather the ability to fully enjoy a day of boating even on a smaller budget.
This is what I find about boating. You have a permanent smile on your face without realising. Thank you for letting us join in with your boating. Really enjoy what you do for boating.
Rather rarely would I ever feel genuinely happy for someone I don't even know or seen but it is the very case with Nick. Such a lovely couple with passion for boating I can relate to. Greetings from Bulgaria :) P.S. Nick, do you happen to know the amount of fuel the boat "drank" for this particular trip ? Distance-wise it seems like enough for most people wanting to cruise around the coast for a day trip.
I agree with you. I don't have a boat but have watched the Aquaholic videos. They ooze enthusiasm and are an easy watch. My question.......can you go into other harbours on the coastline and visit them.....actually get off the boat? Thanks
@@miketonner3094 yes you can mate. Without question. Always check in with the harbour master as there may be a small fee to dock but often you can just moor, grab a drink and head off. Edit: unless you’re in Italy in which case they’ll hammer you for even going near one of their marinas lol Nah just kidding. But some of them are very selective, require pre booking and will sting you financially. That’s rare though.
Being able to watch you and your lovely wife have such fun out on the water was a real treat. I wasnt even there and watching this mini series was enough to pull me out of a bad depression. So thank you Nick and thank you Maryanne! You both are awesome people!
Great boat handling and shows how easy it is solo. Thanks for this mini series Nick, it’s been a pleasure to see you and you good lady enjoying a lovely day out together.
There's a whole new contender now for best new trilogy! Watching your passion for your own boat lends a new appreciation for your regular reviews. I don't think anyone would dispute that your a true boat guy after watching this... Well done and looking forward to the next
Wonderful series Nick. Such a pleasure to watch. I normally race motorcycles at high speed on circuit, but I’d still get a buzz out of a day like that. Brilliant. All the best to you both.
Watched all 3, brill there nick and Marianne. Very pleasing to watch. Your presentation was great to see, I keep watching your new vids and back catalogue when poss. Keep em coming lad, puts a smile on your face !! Bri and frei east Yorkshire.
'And no one ever needs to know that was our third attempt'. HA! As a boat owner I know how tricky that is, and I was admiring your great mooring skills. I'm even more impressed by your honesty, Nick! I've seen some of your boat reviews, and, courtesy of my YT feed, I've now discovered these 'How to go boating' videos. Great content and advice, especially for novices, and I've just loved following your day out around Torbay. Keep up the good work, Sir! Subscribed!
Perfect song choice, for a few seconds it was like i was there driving the boat, Sir, it's a pleasure to watch your videos, keep it up! P.S: I also loved when the camera pointed at the sun when the song said: "my lucky star still shines"❤️
I enjoy these videos so much that one day I might even get a boat. A rowing boat with an outboard probably, Seagull, but nothing wrong with that. So much satisfaction to be had pottering around, or just bobbing around. Thanks to both of you.
Going to watch this later, duty calls, off to Chester to meet my dad, 90 this week and an ex RN officer, he still enjoys talking boats, social distancing but he still has great hearing👍
@@AQUAHOLIC really enjoyed this series, Nick! I wondered if you were going to do an idiot's guide to boating for those of us starting from scratch? Did you do any sailing courses or have you picked it up from spending time with friends on their boats, etc? Cheers John.

Also just behind Smugglers Blue 2 are the slipways used for the D Day landings, historic bit of inner harbour. Really enjoyed being part of your trip around the bay.
I must say, watching you two enjoying yourselves in your three part adventure was, well, enjoyable. While I certainly enjoy your large yacht tours, spending this time with you folks on your boat was like spending time with friends sightseeing. You have some beautiful waters in which to boat and I am glad to see you are able to take advantage of those nice waters. I no longer have a boat, and I miss it, but my son-in-law has one. Enjoy, and stay safe during this pandemic!

I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel (figuratively speaking) - I’m way behind and will do some serious watching. Outstanding entertainment! And your comment “no-one needs to know this was the third attempt” made me laugh out loud!
Just a great mini series! Thank you very much! As a private pilot, the navigation is very similar accept I’m working it out at 125kts rather than 25kts! Your way is a lot more relaxed! Plus you can’t really hover anywhere for lunch in a 4 seat Piper Arrow! Still, I can get to France a little quicker for lunch in Le Touquet or Paris I suppose! Once Lockdown is sorted obviously 🙄 thanks once again! Very, very enjoyable! I’m still salivating for cheese and marmite sandwiches!
Good footage as usual Nick! Turns out I was viewing the cruise ships from Teignmouth at the same time as you, eventually there were 3 cruise ships, 1 tanker, 1 Container ship and a naval vessel!
Thanks Nick, I really enjoy your channel but particularly your boat. I agree that it is perfect and aspire to have one of my own one day, either close to home on Windermere or perhaps on the south coast in later years when we retire! 😎

That's a great first boat!
Epic video guys, totally awesome. It just reminds me of what I’ve been missing, used to love my boating years ago. Keep up the great work guys and keep enjoying boating, love you both lots take great care. Please stay safe and healthy 😘
I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel (figuratively speaking) - I’m way behind and will do some serious watching. Outstanding entertainment! And your comment “no-one needs to know this was the third attempt” made me laugh out loud!
Welcome aboard! :)
Sounds great!
Good footage as usual Nick! Turns out I was viewing the cruise ships from Teignmouth at the same time as you, eventually there were 3 cruise ships, 1 tanker, 1 Container ship and a naval vessel!
Loved this episode, very down to earth and relatable, could you possibly do a vid on how to get boating, ie licence, qualifications, insurance etc
Thank you so much for that great series :)
You're very welcome :)

Glad you like them!
Thanks Nick, I really enjoy your channel but particularly your boat. I agree that it is perfect and aspire to have one of my own one day, either close to home on Windermere or perhaps on the south coast in later years when we retire! 😎
