Gazza is under the bombardment again. This is still so now, this was so in the past. What a pity that much of us around the world is silent. Why? Because they are Palestinians. They deserve nothing, humanitarian aid, ceacefire. Because some people are more valuable. Yes, they are Palestinians who live under the pressure of İsrael, under the humiliation of Zionism. Their homes, their gardens, their trees, their schools are be collapsed by İsrael and they built everything from scratch. They must be arrested, shouldn't allowed to go hospital, to drink clean water, to access electricity properly. Their children killed. The other remaining live grow up and know how to challenge the problems, how to take education under the bad circumstances, how to love, how to hug their families, how to cry and smile. Yes, they are Palestinians. The human rights are not valid for them. I am watching this video again. My heart doesn't accept silence and won't. I am with you Palestine!

I'm watching this on Aug 26 2024. I was trying to see if I could learn Palestinian Arabic on here and I saw this video and clicked on it. The thought was going through my head the contrast of then and now ... the smiles now turned into tears and agony and screams ... and the possibility of any of them not being here with us today. It made me cry. How I wish I would have visited Gaza before this all happened. How I wish this horror never happened. But humanity will always find a way to break free. Palestine will be free. Inshallah, God willing. We will build Palestine back up again. Palestinians have become family to many of us. We love you Palestine

This video makes me cry 😢 for knowing my country, the U.S., is complicit in the destruction of the beautiful places seen in the video. On the other hand, I am inspired by the spirit of the Palestinian people seen in this video. One day, inshallah, Gaza and the rest of Palestine will spread its borders to recover what is rightfully theirs: all of Palestine.
There is no right as a Palestinian state never existed, it was the Arab states who rejected the agreement to create two states, one Jewish and one Arab, the Supreme Arab Committee refused any cooperation with the UN. Do the current Palestinians have the right to their own state that recognizes their fundamental rights and independence? Yes of course. Do Jews have the right to have their own state and live in peace without its neighbors trying to destroy it? It's up to you to answer. The state of Israel was created in Palestine because Jews inhabited those lands for years before being forcibly expelled to then return to it in the last decades of the 18th century, then Palestine was a desolate and neglected Turkish province. Jews began to restore that land and invest, and Arab workers from all over the Ottoman Empire moved there.Then it became a British mandate after the end of the world war, the British with the Balfour Declaration promised the creation of a state for the Jews in Palestine which also included present-day Jordan. Instead, the division took place without taking into account the territories of Jordan. This is the story, besides Gaza and the West Bank were under the control of Egypt and Jordan from 1948 to 67 but they never thought of growing a Palestinian state
watching this now, 9 months into the "conflict" and you have to wonder how many of the people Bisan spoke to have survived so far...

The party still only enjoys 44% support from Gazans, which had increased by 26% after the October 7th attack. This spike in support isn't support for Hamas's ideology, but, rather, support for their sovereignty and action against the Israeli occupier. In fact, 89% of Palestinians are unaware of the civilian deaths that the militants caused on the day, so those celebrating were almost all doing so because of their military victory of Operation al-Aqsa Flood. The vast majority of Fatah voters, the combined voters of every other nationalist list and a third of Hamas voters support the basic elements of the peace process (e.g. the two-state solution). This juxtaposition in institutional policy and the views of the general Gazan public was made very clear during Hamas's election itself.
Bear in mind, half of Palestinians weren't even born by the time of the 2006 election, and most alive at the time didn't even get to vote. Of those who did, only 44.5% voted Hamas. Of that 44.5%, only 11.8% agreed with Hamas's ideology. The rest only voted Hamas in protest against Fatah's corruption. Hamas was the only party favoured enough to do so, and their election campaign revolved around anti-corruption and reform - the latter we only now know was a lie. For Gazans, especially, it was vote Hamas or starve. The vast majority of these Hamas voters didn't even expect Hamas to win. It was Fatah's fragmentation that caused Hamas's success. It's not the fault of the Palestinian people that the electoral system of the authorities which govern them is broken.
Palestine has been continuously occupied since 1948. Likud intentionally funnelled Qatari funding to Hamas in order to bring about and maintain their rule in the Gaza Strip, while dividing the oPt to render Palestinian statehood impossible. There hasn't been a single election in the region since they came into power. It's literally Israel's fault that Gazans are unable to resist Hamas's monopoly on authority and violence in the Strip.
