"I'm going to break you, like a kitkat bar." Sorry but the dbz version of the transformation is better, you could really feel the rage in Goku's non visible eyes
The animation in DBS is more fluid and all but I've always loved the roughness of DBZ's art style specifically the Namek saga because it was the perfect blend of the round DB art with some of the sharp edged character designs that we see in later arcs. Combine this artsyle with the Bruce Faulconer score and you get a really tense atmosphere perfectly emblematic of how it feels to encounter Frieza.
The sequence that begins 2:14 is at least a marked improvement in DBS. Accurate translation of the manga panels, and it doesnt fumble te ball on telling the audience what the hell even happened with that kick Goku made at 2:20
Sorry but Dbz is not dbz if it's not hand painted animation with uncensored violence and kikuchi's top notch legendary soundtrack. It's a product of it's time and has to stay that way. Dbs works as a flashback sequence or tribute, but the original is much better. A full remake in dbs style would not work even if they could keep the animation quality throughout the whole series, which is doubtful since dbs animation is terrible most of the time. The dbz remastered version available on chrunchyroll is more than good enough already for modern tvs, even if it cuts some content due to the aspect ration change.
0:58is the only part of the transform that looks better in DBS while the lighting in the DBS version is better a lot of scenes. You could honestly edit the DBS clip and make it give off a more DBZ look. The remove of blood takes a lot away from the esthetic though in my opinion and certain frames where the isnt a lot of body motion the DBS verison looks stiff. All and all I say they are pretty equal if you look at it from a non nostalgic take. I will say after seeing this side by side I think the studio giblie art style mixed with the DBZ art style would actually making a really good take on DBZ
0:07 I'm sorry, but, in this scene where they are watching Krillin blow up the dramatic tension of their expressions in the SUPER version are completely sucked out for me. Because of the way they did the lighting and expressions, it makes it seem like they are just watching awe-inspiring fireworks or something lol. There is like zero actually horror in their expressions, just general surprise.
@@CurseKingdom3445DBS is shit. Frieza saga had themes like genocide, heroism, vengeance, self improvement and surpassing limits, ancestral heritage and it was tense AF! Super is shit bruh

0:57 too.
Freezer looks very menacing in DBZ
Heck nah bruh! Did you see that smile after he killed Krillin? Terrifying… 😢
Honestly DBS did a great job modernizing this sequence. I just wish that they kept how the initial transformation looked and the gorier scenes
From this video, i prefer dbs. The quality of the hair and the muscle makes it better

DBS easily wins this one.
Uchiyama fucked up 0:57 and that is unforgivable.
Yeah, Idk why he did it dirty like that

DBZ is the best. no contest!
Not even close to being as good as DBS, it's obviously just nostalgia

You're opinion ✨
DBZ for life
As if super looks anywhere near that good
Why Goku went from pink/white skin to North african skin ?
i dont know how, but this sounds racist
The remaster is wild for that 💀
@@tectrixir Just a question, mangas are Japanese and he looks like Alladin-_- so the colorometry isnt good contrary to the animations.

Nostalgia bias
DBZ did it way better
Why they take the blood out 😢 Dragon ball soft not super 😤
DBZ vs dbshit. Lol

Yeah, with the shiny skin and big heads, small skinny bodies and almost zero technical fighting scenes 😂.
