Great video, got the same bike and absolutely love it. I can almost keep up with the KTMs and all the fancy bikes, it’s fast enough to kill ya.

If I lived in the woods or trails around me were mostly rock, I would have kept this bike. Lots of deep sandy, whooped out trials and steep hills around me though and that is where 20Hp and limited suspension travel falls a bit short. It was still the most fun, stress free dirt bike I have ridden.

    Beautiful country by the way.

Great video! Would you recommend this for a beginner who has never really rode before? I’m 6ft and about 165lbs

Absolutely, the CRF230F is a great and friendly bike to learn on. I'm the exact same height and weight. Taller handlebars than stock will be important to get.

how do you think this would handle mountain trails with the occasional packing out some wild game in a pack at a slower speed.

The stock suspension is quite soft and comfortable on mountain trails and jetting may need to be tweaked for high elevations. If loading with extra weight, some suspension upgrades would be recommended...which reminds me, I have to put my upgraded Racing Bros rear shock up for sale now that I don't own this bike :) This shock and on the front upgrading to an XR250 fork transformed the bike.

How long does a full tank of gas last?

It is very efficient. I could ride between 125 and 150 miles on a full tank.

What is the (stock) handle bar height at top of grips when level?
