2nd time playing with Chorus cards, and they seem crazy strong lategame, but not so good vs. combo decks and early game can feel pretty bad if opponent starts playing things like goyf, frog, tamiyo without having a push.
Stumbled across your channel recently. Greatly enjoy the gameplay. I exclusively play brawl, so it's interesting to see a different kind of magic. You remind me of LVD. Subbed.
I think your first opponent had Consign because of the MTG RUclips ThrabenUniversty, he's always telling people to put it in their blue sideboards. He almost always has 2 in his sideboard
@StreamWatcher-kj7cb problem with consign is there's just very few colorless spells going around in timeless compared to other formats. Even one ring isn't ubiquitous due to lurrus. Sometimes, you're just going to lose because you have so many dead cards stuck in your hand. 😅
In game 3 when you played the mana drain, I would’ve used spell peices and forced them tap two, it wouldnt have mattered because they had two Veils that turn but we didn’t know that lol anyway. Yea the fact SnT can be more controlling is annoying
Playing Frost Bite in mono red Historic feels poor. By the time you have 3 snow permanents, it doesnt matter any more that you are casting 1 mana deal 3. Yes Timeless has more 1 and 2 toughness creatures yet I don’t think Shanty is enough. We need another 1 mana Chorus spell to get a free bolt with your first Shanty.
It's not a bad card if you use it correctly. If you play surgical to get rid of removal spells, and opponent happens to not have any of them in their hand, all you did was go down on a card. In the long run, you'll run out of cards fast with these surgicals as you aren't really interacting with opponent's hand or board, and eventually lose the game due to card disadvantage. Times where surgical is really good is if you are interacting with opponent's cards: When opponent uses reanimate, when opponent relies on specific combo piece to win, or they have cards that come back from graveyard such as Phlage. If the surgical trades for a card or is winning you the game if you cast it, that's when it becomes a good card. The thing that makes it interesting here is, sometimes surgicalling removals can be really good if you know opponent's hand. Because now, you're interacting with opponent's hands, so surgical doesn't become a card disadvantage. If you randomly surgical hitting their removals, and happen to remove some of their cards in hand, that's when I'm kind of sad because these rare moments making people think surgical is a good card to bring and continue to bring it in situations where they shouldn't and probably lose the game.

Does thraben play timeless though? I’d agree for modern/legacy
@BiCuriousGeorge1 yeah he plays MTGO instead of Arena, he plays a lot of legacy and vintage where it's really strong.
i think theyre trying to scam with it

How on earth was your first opponent in Mythic?
👍✨
