I loved my Steve Austin dol... um, action figure. I didn't much care for the way the binocular lens made his one eye look, but it was cool to look through.
Big time can of the 6 million dollar man! The Bigfoot episodes stick out the most. But they did cause me to have nightmares for most of my childhood. Like your videos. They take me back to my childhood.
I love that episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man vs. Bigfoot I had my Six Million Dollar Man. Cheering Steve on I really thought that it was it again on Cozi TV that was one of the best episodes ever thank you
God, this was one of the BIGGEST events of the decade! I loved the Six million Dollar man! Lee majors was the coolest plus he was married to Farrah Fawcett! I sure remember Dynamite magazine! Universal had a whole bunch of bionic man attractions like the rotating cave and we all got to pick up a van like we had bionic parts! I had the Steve Austin action figure and desperetly wanted the action figure too. Sadly, never got it either. I can't believe you also mentioned Bigfoot and Wildboy! I used to love watching that one when I was a kid. This video took me back! Thanks so much! I've been meaning to do a video on this show for my channel for the longest time but I doubt I can top this one!
I was so bananas for the *_Six Million Dollar Man_* it's ridiculous. There was one time in first or second grade, I had some _Six Million Dollar Man_ stickers. And I put them on my school work, and even signed the work _"Steve Austin."_ Of course the teacher was none too pleased and I had to own up to it in front of the class. That was rather embarrassing. I also had a white denim jacket that I would wear pretending to be him. And yes, I too had the overly large action figure with the peephole-eye that would, strangely enough, make things look _further away._ 😅 But I thought the rubber roll up skin was kind of cool. I had the rocket that you can plug him into also. Yep, when Bigfoot was the featured I was all over that. And I love the UFO touch. I think we were a little more UFO crazy back then too. I seem to recall everything was about UFOs. Movies and specials where the subject was the _Bermuda Triangle._ And _In Search Of. . ._ (I never missed an episode!) As well as _Project UFO / Project Blue Book._ Did they change the name in the middle of the run? Or am I confusing the actual military program with the show title? *_Dynamite Magazine!!!_* I remember only getting them through the Scholastic Book Club as well. I don't know why, but the TV show _Cliffhangers_ was something I never forgot. Even though I don't think it was on for very long, I was an avid follower. Although I wasn't quite as interested in this Susan Anton segments as I was the _Dracula_ segment and that one about a futuristic underground world found during the wild west, _The Secret Empire._ I remember everyone calling the hero "Donner Jim" because he introduced himself backwards, the way James Bond does. Thanks for another great video!
Steve Austin was my HERO in my teen years! You should have seen me crying away when he was lying unconscious in the bigfoot episode. Pass the Kleenex. I was mesmerized everytime I would watch him run, help someone in danger, or defend himself.
"The Legend of Boggy Creek" movies was about a swamp monster from Fouke, Arkansas and was based on true accounts. As kid in Arkansas in the early 70's, I was terrified. I did have protection in the form of my six million dollar man action figure. He had the bionic arm with rubber skin that rolled up to reveal a couple of small simulated chips and a hole in his head to simulate a bionic eye which you could actually look through. Loved the show.
🐨Yeah, my Six Million Dollar Man action figure came with a car engine that enable Steve to lift it when I'd cranked a level in his back that raised the right arm, it was awesome!😉👍🐨
The Six Million Dollar Man... Wow! I remember how excited I was, waiting for the Bigfoot episodes. I had the lunch pail, and the action figure. My parents even loved watching. I'm glad to know, I was awed the same as you, Dave. 👍
Man i feel like we're brothers from another mother. I loved this show and the Bigfoot episodes was some of the best. Bigfoot and Wildboy was pretty cool. Lee Majors would always talk about how great Andrea was to work with. I always wished Steve Austin would guest star just once on Saturday morning.
I sure do. When it aired for the first time, I had nightmares for several days! I sure loved it though. I had the SMDM doll and lunch box so I was a real fan.
I was born in December 15th 1966, I grew up watching the 70's TV shows back then. Like the Munsters, Saturday morning cartoons, HR Pufnstuf, Lidsville, the Bugaloos, Star Wars, Land of the Lost, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, Bigfoot and Wild boy, Wonder bug, the 6 Million dollar man, science fiction movies, Battle star Galactica, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Sonny and Cher comedy hour/show, Emergency, Adam 12, SWAT, Wonder Woman, Japanese monster movies, Dean Martin Celebrity Roast, Ed Sullivan Show, Flip Wilson Show, and many others as well. I am 53 years old now, it brings back memories of my groovy era, you dig groovy cats far out.
I loved this show. Oh man, I ate this stuff up as a kid. It was probably my favourite show growing up. I'm currently binge watching season 4 and it had the 2-oarter The Return of Bigfoot as the season opener, with part 2 crossing over into The Bionic Woman. My other favourite was the Death Probe...corny as hell now that I watch it as an adult but just loads of nostalgic fun. There are days when I wish I could return to those simpler times. Lee Majors tells the story of how Andre the Giant wore the bigfoot suit for long days of shooting and they never washed the thing. Andre was a huge guy and sweated a lot. You can only imagine what it might have been like to shoot a fight scene with this guy wearing the rankest costume in the history of sweaty costumes, HahA! I wonder whatever happened to those old costumes? Ted Cassidy played a good bigfoot too. I thought Cassidy's portrayal was a little more contemplative than Andre's. Anyways, thanks for posting this! Good times!
I still remember to this day my father reading to me out of t.v. guide about this new show that was going to be on about a kind of Superman called the six million dollar man. He said one of the guys from Big Valley was the star of the show. My interest was peaked!

Man, I miss this show. I have been a fan of Lee Majors, all my life. Heath Barkley (The Big Valley) and Steve Austin were my two favorite characters, to pretend to be. Like you, was freaked by the thought of Bigfoot catching me in the woods or something. 😂 These episodes with Bigfoot, plus Bigfoot & Wildboy, made him seem cooler. Like, maybe if I got lost in the woods, he would help me get home kinda cool. 😂
Today is February 1, 2021 so that makes it 45 years since The Six Million Dollar Man part one of Secret of Bigfoot aired on ABC.! I know I was watching. Bigfoot was everywhere in the 70's and like Dave, I was scared of the critter when I was younger. Great video.
I had the GI Joe doll, but not the doll of Steve Austin. The Six Million Dollar man is my favourite show of all time. I remember running home from school, to make sure I didn't miss any of it, especially the prologue that even though it was repetitive, was quite inspiring. My parents took me to Universal Studios in the mid '70s, I have old Polaroid pictures of me lifting cars off the ground, and bending prison bars. I also remember going through the tunnel in a vehicle resembling a golf cart, and by the time I was through the tunnel, I was quite nauseous. All great memories!
EPIC is the right word to describe the first Bigfoot episode. It did not disappoint. The 2nd time Bigfoot came on the show was great too. The third time, not as much.
Yah, with each subsequent appearance, Bigfoot seemed less special. It kills me to say that...but, much like the real Bigfoot (he does exist!), the mysteriousness of it all is what made it all so cool and intriguing.
I was 9 year's old when I saw this episode back in the day big fan of the six million dollar man and I too was a big time fan of bigfoot my mother took me to see the movie called mysterious monsters back in 75 I was 9 year's old and it was a documentary on Bigfoot the loch Ness monster! Awesome stuff I'm still a bigfoot fan to this day I'm 54 now!! I was so jazz to see it if LG pop corn and LG Coke I was happy as can be! So when the six million dollar man took on Bigfoot I was so happy and then a few weeks later we went to universal studios and we went in the revolving tunnel that u saw in the episode of the six million dollar man! So awesome! Thanks for this! Cheers from pasadena ca
Wow! Nice catch, Amanda. I must admit I had to go back and rewatch those episodes to fully recall them. Thank heavens for NBC.com's back catalog of episodes available for streaming.
Steve Austin vs big foot is the part of the show I remember above all else when I think about this show (p.s I watched the reruns in the early 1990s as a kid)
I loved this show when I was 6-8 y.o.! It was required watching on Sunday nights! The theme music still goes through my head as I remembered it. I remember how mind blowing it was when my dad said, "You know, my middle name is Austin too." I had the action figure, and several sundry toys that went with it.
I liked the show so much that I went on to become the proud owner of not 1 but 2 six million dol. dolls & many action figures, now I can't wait until the six billion dollar man hits the silver screens!
Yes , I remember and loved the Bigfoot episodes on The Six Million Dollar Man . They might still be his most popular episodes - even the one that included Jamie Sommers ?? You can still watch the Reruns on CoziTV every weekend .
I had the six million dollar man figure, while my brother had the Bigfoot figure! So many battles and team up took place in our back yard. Once in a while GI Joes atomic man and bulletman would join the battles!
As a little boy in the 70's, off course I was a Six Mil. fan. Me and some of the kids at daycare always talked about the recent episode. I had the action figure & the toy car engine he could lift with his bionic arm. My cousin in South Carolina had the Bionic Women toy & the car. We played almost all day with our toys when I visited her. I didn't know at first that Andre originated the roll. I was mad back then because I missed part 1 of the episode when it first aired. I especially loved the "Big Foot" return crossover episodes with the Bionic Woman. Thanks Dave.
I saw the Legend of Boggy Creek, Sasquatch: the legend of Bigfoot as well as other documentrys on the subject. I loved them all. best of all was Bigfoot on the 6 Million Dollar Man.
I grew up in the 70's watching The Six Million Dollar Man..loved it so much. We used to eat early dinners on Sundays(an Italian thing)..I can remember my father making me and my brother sandwiches later in the evening while we watched the show. The good old days!! Oh yeah..I also remember hiding behind these big bolster pillows we had when big foot first appeared! Scared the crap out of us...LOL
I actually just re-watched this ep about a month ago. I really liked the Bigfoot ep. Some of these old shows really went out there with the stories. Stephanie Powers was amazing in this ep. I always liked the crazier eps with supernatural stuff and aliens.
Same here, and I really enjoyed it, but the acting/dialog, holy cow, dreadful! Oscar and Steve not knowing what a mountain lion or grizzly bear track would look like? Come on… and why was there only one (or two) footprints? Stefanie Powers - hot!
Reading this brought back the same feelings I had the first time I read it. I couldn't wait to see the show and would read the add many times wondering what the show would bring!
Loved the Bigfoot episodes! Been years since watching but I have fond memories. The Venture Bros did pretty tasteless spoof of the Steve Austin/Bigfoot relationship.
Wow Dave...you did it again...i remember all this..i have a big collection of dynamite magazines and the SMDM issue is in there...i was a huge believer in the sasquatch legend and have 8 books on it and was as excited as you when the Austin/Bigfoot combo came up and was also a devoted fan of Bigfoot and wild boy show...the bubonic woman also had her run ins with BF and teamed up with Austin and BF..keep them memories comming my friend...hows about maybe doing a run down of monster squad Saturday morning show and maybe you could help me and remind me of a game show from the 70s where contestants had to reach different levels by answering questions that were represented by monster cut outs..ive been racking my brain trying to remember the name of that show..keep the memories alive pal.👍👍👍👍👍
We visited Universal Studios when I was a kid; the tram tour stopped due to filming ahead; when we moved again, we passed the filming site and within arm's reach was the craft service table with Big Foot and Lindsay Wagner snacking & waving at us; no Lee Majors, he must have gone back to his trailer. 😎Thanks for the happy memories!
Thanks for this flashback in time, when TV was good. Loved Steve Austin, and Jamie Simmers growing up. Two of my favs back in the day. And thanks for bringing up Bigfoot and Wild boy too. I remember when I was young jumping off our couch in the air screaming Baaaayaamaaaa, like I was Bigfoot, lol. Good times.
I can't believe you jogged my memory on Dynamite magazine. It was the only reason I took the Scholastic book ad home from school. I even remember as a birthday gift my parents gave me a subscription to the mag.
Feb 1, 1976 goes down as the greatest night of television history. Not only does Col Austin fight Bigfoot (bare-handed) for the first time, but he rips his freakin' arm off! If I was directing this episode today Steve would take that severed arm and start beating Bigfoot with it. LOL!
I like the first appearance of Bigfoot on The Six Million Dollar Man . But, I prefer the character's second appearance on the show . I liked the cliffhanger , as well as the fact that it also features The Bionic Woman !!
I was 5 years old but i remember the hysteria and hype of that episode fully, that's all my brother & his friends were talking about and i remember watching it
The first time I saw Bigfoot on the Six Million Dollar Man, I was sitting in my Grandfathers recliner getting ready to watch my favorite show. When they first panned in on Andre the Giant as Bigfoot, I was literally terrified and frozen with fear. They did a great job on him - his face scared me to death as a kid!!! Best show ever. When I heard that into music come on, I lost my dang mind.
@@jdsundstrom Yes but it was a cool toy. My favorite was Oscar Goldman and his exploding briefcase. I still remember how to open the briefcase so it wouldn't explode.
Heads up everyone. I met Mark Wahlberg last year, and shared this with me, he’ll be starting in the film version of the Six-Million Dollar 💵 man. Lee Majors was a consultant in the film and he has a cameo in the film. Stay tuned
The Six Million Dollar Man was absolutely my favorite show. The intro to the show is still the best ever 👍. I never missed an episode. In fact I loved it so much I had to buy the collectors set of every episode when they came out a few years ago
I was a huge fan of the "Six Million Dollar Man" when I was a kid in the 70's, but Bigfoot wasn't my favorite monster from the show. That distinction would have to go to the "Death Probes". There were two of them. First the Jupiter one, and then the one that the Russian terrorists built from the design of the first "Jupiter Death Probe". I LOVED those robots. They scared the hell out of me. I even got the toy version of the "Death Probe" and used to play with it with my "Star Wars" action figures because they didn't make the damn thing to scale with the Steve Austin action figure. It was perfect size for my Star Wars figures. I love the sound those things made. I love the look of them. To this day, I want a car that looks like one. I can swear also that they simply took the one they used in the "Six Million Dollar Man" out of storage and just modified it slightly, to make it goofy looking, for use in the movie "Heartbeeps". It kind of ticks me off that they did that to such an awesome and scary prop that should have been saved and preserved for history. I really wish that they had saved the "Death Probes" but they probably ended up scrapped. Hollywood back then had no concept of preservation or "Collector market" back then. They had no concept that people would be nostalgically watching the shows and trading merchandise relating tho them only a few years later. And what's really sad, when you talk nostalgia, "The Six Million Dollar Man" is barely mentioned nowadays. Most kids have heard of "Battlestar Galactica", "Knight Rider", "The A-Team", etc.. Very few people ever discuss "The Six Million Dollar Man". Few modern people even know of it's existence and the DVD's for it are expensive and difficult to get.
If you enjoyed this video, I'm thinking you might like this one as well: ruclips.net/video/by7qgEYQUB4/видео.html
I'm actually more interested in the people the aliens that lived inside the mountains that had advanced technology that made it so they could move on scene at a higher vibrational frequency so they were invisible to the naked eye. Do you have any clips of that part?

I watched it at my grandmothers house with my brother before we went to sleep. I had nightmares. Thanks for reminding me.
I remember when Steve Austin was fighting some sort of Robot Tank in a couple of episodes.

Wow! Nice catch, Amanda. I must admit I had to go back and rewatch those episodes to fully recall them. Thank heavens for NBC.com's back catalog of episodes available for streaming.
I never missed my favorite show.
A Deff classic I wish they had a DVD collection between both shows
best show of my childhood especially the bigfoot episodes
Steve Austin vs big foot is the part of the show I remember above all else when I think about this show (p.s I watched the reruns in the early 1990s as a kid)
I loved this show when I was 6-8 y.o.! It was required watching on Sunday nights! The theme music still goes through my head as I remembered it. I remember how mind blowing it was when my dad said, "You know, my middle name is Austin too." I had the action figure, and several sundry toys that went with it.
Thanks for sharing your memories, emhanson2716!
I liked the show so much that I went on to become the proud owner of not 1 but 2 six million dol. dolls & many action figures, now I can't wait until the six billion dollar man hits the silver screens!
It's 2022 and I just got through watching the two part episode of Bigfoot and yes I gave you a thumbs up
Thanks for the thumbs-up!
OMG I loved this episode and I loved when the Bionic woman joined him... I believe It was another episode correct?
i rember when jammie summers had the ear problems and supsoed to have died ;; i was very upset;
Steve Austin's legs were crushed by a hydraulic ramp. Jamie was approached by one of the alien colonists with a cure for Steve's radiation poisoning.
U r correct. Steve got his butt kicked and she had to go help him out.
Yes , I remember and loved the Bigfoot episodes on The Six Million Dollar Man . They might still be his most popular episodes - even the one that included Jamie Sommers ?? You can still watch the Reruns on CoziTV every weekend .
Brings back fond memories.
Hell Yeah, I was a big fan!!!! Till today, I'm scared to death of Bigfoot...LMAO!!! I love your stuff, keep it up!!!!!
Thanks Ron!
As a kid, this episode scared the shit out of me.
Great memories, Anthony. Thanks for sharing.
Dave Sundstrom You're welcome friend. By the way me and 2 of my friends use to do the Bigfoot and Wildboy call on our way to school.😄😄
I saw the Legend of Boggy Creek, Sasquatch: the legend of Bigfoot as well as other documentrys on the subject. I loved them all. best of all was Bigfoot on the 6 Million Dollar Man.
Awesome show remember when I was a kid
This was the greatest!!! I was right there with you Brother.
Stephanie Powers was later in Hart To Hart? I think I was infatuated with her as a kid.
AwEsOmE ViDeO Thank You for your hard work and research !
Yeah, you're right, the Six Million Dollar Man *was* Must Watch TV. And I remember the Bigfoot episode.
loved this show it was popular when i was in third grade
Reading this brought back the same feelings I had the first time I read it. I couldn't wait to see the show and would read the add many times wondering what the show would bring!
Loved the Bigfoot episodes! Been years since watching but I have fond memories. The Venture Bros did pretty tasteless spoof of the Steve Austin/Bigfoot relationship.
six million dollars would barely get you outpatient surgery today
Lol robot 🤖 chicken brought me here I don’t quit remember the six million dollar man sounds like a good show
Wow Dave...you did it again...i remember all this..i have a big collection of dynamite magazines and the SMDM issue is in there...i was a huge believer in the sasquatch legend and have 8 books on it and was as excited as you when the Austin/Bigfoot combo came up and was also a devoted fan of Bigfoot and wild boy show...the bubonic woman also had her run ins with BF and teamed up with Austin and BF..keep them memories comming my friend...hows about maybe doing a run down of monster squad Saturday morning show and maybe you could help me and remind me of a game show from the 70s where contestants had to reach different levels by answering questions that were represented by monster cut outs..ive been racking my brain trying to remember the name of that show..keep the memories alive pal.👍👍👍👍👍
Wow! Thanks for sharing your memories, patimuse!
Thanks for your great videos that trigger those memories of the Happy Days of the 70s, you know, the good stuff.
Good times.
More Bigfoot and Wildboy coming real soon!
I can't believe you jogged my memory on Dynamite magazine. It was the only reason I took the Scholastic book ad home from school. I even remember as a birthday gift my parents gave me a subscription to the mag.
Yes and it was the greatest episode ever!
Feb 1, 1976 goes down as the greatest night of television history. Not only does Col Austin fight Bigfoot (bare-handed) for the first time, but he rips his freakin' arm off! If I was directing this episode today Steve would take that severed arm and start beating Bigfoot with it. LOL!
I don't disagree!
I like the first appearance of Bigfoot on The Six Million Dollar Man . But, I prefer the character's second appearance on the show . I liked the cliffhanger , as well as the fact that it also features The Bionic Woman !!
I also like watching those Bigfoot movies here on RUclips.
I was 5 years old but i remember the hysteria and hype of that episode fully, that's all my brother & his friends were talking about and i remember watching it
I remember the hype!
I had steve Austin and maskatron and Oscar Goldman plus the rocket/medical bay.
Wasn’t Maskatron evil?
@@jdsundstrom Yes but it was a cool toy. My favorite was Oscar Goldman and his exploding briefcase. I still remember how to open the briefcase so it wouldn't explode.
Yeah, I had all those toys, too, plus the Bigfoot. And I remember Oscar's exploding suitcase, too, now that you mention it.
This is the memorable episode. A fan favorite.
Yes, one of my favorite all time episodes.
A true classic! Especially the first one with Andre the Giant and Stephanie Powers.
how true you are great commentary you took me back to 13 thankyou n keep it moving n stay bless
Glad you enjoyed it!
Loved Steve especially with Jamie Sommers, the Bionic Woman, remember those Fem-bots!
This scared the bejeezus out of me as kid but I loved it.😂😂
I had a MASSIVE crush on Steve Austin! 😂❤ I thought Bigfoot was a sweetheart as well.
I wish they’d reshow this .. and the bionic woman. Loved both shows.
I think there is an OTA channel broadcasting the show these days. I want to say that it is on the COZI TV network.
I remember Steve staggering around like he was plastered when he tried to go through the rotating tunnel. Sandy Duncan is an alien.
Stefanie powers was also an alien, too.
Have you seen the new Honda TV commercials with The Six Million Dollar Man action figure? Pretty cool!
BlackburnBigdragon
It was actually called the Venus probe. First used by the Russians and then the design stolen by terrorists.
Junkman sent me lol... buy I was already a subscriber...u got good stuff lol
