Whoever posted this . Thank you for keeping the commercial’s included . Love watching my childhood in 2023 . Shows me how long it’s actually been .
It is interesting to watch old commercials. It is too bad I don't recall most of them.... Must be old age....
Weird, decades on, at that moment when she joins him on that first bionic run together, with him back in his red tracksuit, still gives me chills. Two iconic heroes of my childhood.
How convenient that her injuries were almost exactly the same as Steve's from his accident. Both legs, one arm, and the ear for her special ability. : )
@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017 Both legs broken in a parachute accident it could happen
@@Slashkamr Yes it is possible. I broke both legs swinging on a dangerous tarzan rope in a wooded section of a park many decades ago. The rope snapped suddenly and I fell several feet to the ground breaking both legs.
Gives me chills also!!
These episodes really still hold up very well, excellent writing and acting, the storyline is very humanistic and touching! Jaime's bionic rejection and death will always hit a spot with me 😪
Time travelling can't possibly get any better than this. The intro gives me goosebumps still. I miss the 70's.
So do I my friend...
I had the biggest crush on him I was in love with him in 1975
@@michaelpink955 lol yes he was very beautiful you have good taste
I too miss the 70s
This show inspired me to always to keep going and surmount any obstacle in life, and to be the six million dollar man!!!😊
I used to watch this with my grandma. It makes me miss her. The 70s were a great time to grow up.
I hear you.. I'm 55 , raised by my grandparents from age of 1.. we loved the six million dollar man. RIP to our dearly missed loved ones.
I used to watch this is as a kid too with my face right up on the TV screen,I guess that's why I wear glasses now lol
Incredible time to be an American! 🎈🥳🎈
@@paulshirley 55 and raised by my grandparents from 2. They sat in the room but didn't really watch it but they let me. 60 Minutes and Hee Haw were Popaw's shows and Granny had the day time soaps and game shows.
@@alancarnell2747 👍🏾
watched every episode when I was a kid in the 70s...even had the Six Million Dollar Man action figure...was cool to look through his eye and remove the skin on his arm to see the bionic parts...best days ever! I wanna go back
Did you make the sound when you looked through his eye
Did you jump and slow run in the pool making the bionic sounds like I did...and still do at 57? 😂
Had the bionic woman action figure doll, was waaay more into her show but i watched both, those fembots were so scary!
I grew up in the 1970's... I watched it too....
Looking at reruns of
I watched Million Dollar Man faithfully as a kid, and I still think this show has one of the best intro’s ever!
I wouldn't miss an episode of The Six Million Dollar Man, and The Bionic Woman. They were both my HEROES!!
Not more dan me 70s we had tv 1 49
Hello!
Hope all is Well and Safe!
Couldn't agree with you more!
One of my favorite shows;WE GREW UP IN THE BEST OF TIMES!
Six million dollar man is one of my very very favorite shows still is
And I thank you for having this on I really appreciate it
Funny how 42 years ago have gone by, but this episode still makes me just as happy as it did back when I was 8. I wonder if Lee Majors knows how much of a hero he was to so many of us. I had a rather difficult childhood with step-dad that liked to booze it up, and then take some aggression out on me. This series truly gave me something to look forward to on Sunday nights and let me escape for a little bit. Wow, 42 years - where did the time go...
I hope your stepdad is in the lower beyond.
Same here had a mongrel stepfather and I was a teenager when this was on tv in Australia I love this and bionic woman and always wanted to be like Steve ah we can always dream.
My childhood was hard as my mum used to mistreat me all the time. Watching Steve Austin and Jamie Sommers made me so happy that I forgot everything for an hour every week. I still love them.
@@sandramanriqc.3108 I bet Lee and Lindsay never imagined that not only would their show generate millions of fans, but an escape for a couple kids, if only for one very special hour a week. 👍
I’m glad you’re still here 👍👊
Thanks for putting this up online. These were the better days of our country when things were simple. No cell phones and good old T.V.
Wish we could go back, such good memories,if only....
You know what is also great? Seeing these 40 year old commercials...brings back memories
Yh I avoid/hate adverts yet didn't mind these, even remember a few of them.
Two shows I followed religiously at 7 yrs old! Looking at it with a 54 yr old mind set the scene in the hospital when Steve explained her bionics was excellent. It really humanized both of them. Great acting.
bionic man and woman was one of the greatest 70s shows EVER made!
To whomever is responsible for this upload, THANK YOU !
This was a joy to re-live. I remember all of it, all of the commercials as well.
Thank you once again for doing this.
Sincerely.
Chicago (51)
Yes thank you! I remember all of it too! Such a special time in our lives!
Absolutely when tv was good tv
I am 1987 and soak in all of the past pop culture. I don't feel like I've been able to see such pure 1975 as often as the later years. Seeing these toy commercials and the trailing lights, and the font and editing styles, I love it! Plus I'm here to find the Dana Plato part, it might be her first role outside of commercials
Beautiful scenery and series 1974/1975s - 1977s
Thank YOU for being educated.
Sounds weird I know.
But I take my joy where ever I will.
And well written prose is one.
But the prose doesn't write itself.
It comes from people like you.

Kind of the first hero tv show to clear the way for all the superhero movies today. What a show. Introduction was always the best. Always had a crush on Jamie. Thought she was drop dead gorgeous her first season
And every season after 👌
I was 7, when Lindsay first appeared on the Bionic Man. I loved her instantly. She was beautiful, intelligent, funny, & seemed grounded in reality. Even if I didn't have the vocabulary to express that distinction at the time. It was why I preferred her. To Wonder Woman. Who seemed like. Your typical, idealized, Superhero. Especially in that first season. Only When Lee, & Lindsay, worked together. Did Steve as a character seem to have more depth. I suppose that's also the reason. That although she was my favorite. I ended up being ISIS for Halloween in 75, & WW in 76. Aside from the fact that I had brown hair. How would anyone have identified me as The Bionic Woman. Jaime was played as a person first. It did however spark an interesting conversation at school. I am a wheelchair user from birth. For most of my classmates. I was the first person they knew / their age. To use one. I was asked if I had an accident. If I wished I could be bionic, so I could walk. It gave me an opening. It gave them a chance to ask questions & learn. I went on to say. That I was born this way. Using wheels to get around was as natural for me, as walking was, for them. Though I would love to be able to run super fast & jump up to, & down from, high places. ( What kid wouldn't ) I was not sad, or broken. I did however say. I wanted more ramps & elevators. LOL. I had no Idea just how on the nose I was.
Steve Austin and Jamie Sommers . . . They were my HEROES when I was young! At sixty-one, they still are in a way.
Who is your favorite hero? And why?
Her complete name is Jamie Sommers and not the way you have it spelled.
Note: Anybody who doesn't know how to spell a person's name should definitely go back to school.
This is my personal opinion and should be respected as such.
Hang cool while you're confined to staying at home during this quarentine as much as possible. ©®
Hello!
Hope all is Well and Safe!
Nostalgic! It's nice to be able to relive GOOD TIMES! Unfortunately they will never be like that again! But I'm still grateful it took me back WISHING I THERE NOW!
The first big TV romance that I can remember. People actually seemed concerned when she was injured. LOL.
Does anybody know, politely speaking, where is part 2?
I REFUSE TO RECEIVE ANY RUDE REMARKS OVER HERE.
Date and time: Unknown.
That is always what I wanted: the original tv shows with original commercials. Makes one feel like they are back in the 70s or 80s again! Thanks so much for uploading!
She was my hero as a little girl. My friends were always into Wonder Woman and Charlies Angels but I always loved Jamie. She had such a wholesome, country girl feel to her personality. Now I adore Jill Wagner and am so amazed that they are not related. They have the same down to earth personalities. I really miss these two superheroes. The chemistry they had was wonderful.
That was awesome. Can we all just go back to the 70's now?
I still remember running to school making that sound while all the cars zipped by me lol.
Hope you weren't running in slow motion: you would've been LATE!! LOL
Yes, I admit to running in slow motion, in the living room, while quietly singing the
DUSTY SPRINGFIELD "He's a man - six million dollar man..."
i think we all did as a kid growing up with this iconic tv show lol
🙆♂️
That reminds me, I must fix that creeking spring on my bed.
Mr. Rob
The cars must have been speeding because you were doing 60 mph.
Both characters were fantastic! Both lead actors were too! Sad that they DON'T make TV like this anymore.
TV shows that taught us how to be nice and to be helpful others one way or another
I was also a fan of "The Incredible Hulk", Bill Bixby, ahhh! and "Wonder Woman"
This hits the ground running. Lee and Lindsay on top acting form.
The two of them running together at the end is iconic! I lived for these two shows and Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman as a kid. I was born in 1973 so I grew up on these shows. They are so nostalgic for me. I have actually met both Wagner and Carter and got their autographs. Majors I saw from a distance at a comicon. His line was way too long to meet him too. I could still watch these shows all day long. I wish they were added to digital. Only the first season of Bionic Woman is up for digital sale. Wonder Woman all 3 seasons is also up for digital sale.
The great thing about characters in TV shows of the 70's like Steve Austin and the astronauts in Planet of the Apes etc and before that Star Trek is that they were kindly characters and there was NO swearing, but it didn't lose any drama for that.
Yesssss
You _can_ get the whole box set on DVD.
I remember saving up my money and buying the Bionic Woman doll myself. Loved her.
I remember that doll! I had one as a kid
Amazing the Bionic Woman Doll looked like Farrah
@@danielcastro8216 Lee ex-wife
@@danielcastro8216 Even Lindsey Wagner said the exact same thing in an interview once. That Jamie Sommers looked exactly like Jill Monroe ( Farrah Faccett ) from Charlie's Angels.
Did you buy the doll? I got it as a Christmas gift in 1977
Fun Fact: Although uncredited, the little girl holding the tennis racket and watching Jaime play (and talks to Steve) is Dana Plato. She would go on to play Kimberly Drummond in Diff'rent Strokes.
Thanks for info:)!
Saddens me how things turned out for her ... She deserved better.
@Jason Thompson *Y E A H !!!!*
We can read her name at *59:24* 💁♀️

Oh wow! I missed that! Didn't recognize her! Thanks for pointing it out!
Trev L wow... this is great
The best part of this were the commercials. Brings back so many good memories. The great Christmas commercial. The Tyco track. haha, Coleco Amaze-a-tron!! Thanks so much for the upload.
Lithium ion batteries?
Ronco, K-Tel!
I remember this so well as a kid. We only had 2 channels to watch and this show along with Charlie's Angels were must-watch.
That intro never gets old! It made the phrase - better, stronger, faster! a part of the English language.
I remember when this came out in South Africa....it was dubbed into Afrikaans and called "Die Man van Staal". Watched it about 25 years later in English.....what a series. I'm now 51 years....
I love the commercials, I miss those days, simple and sweet. I would give everything to go back.
That world was so much more sophisticated than today world it feels like a adult world.
Amen.
Mark Parks I'll help you both 😉
Andrew Dock Not just sophisticated. Arrogant too.
@Danny Farley Good mentality !
In France we say "children king".
I dont agree with this education style.
My parents were strict with my daughter and myself and I'll never blame that they were.
Thank you for that trip to the past! Even the commercials provide context to life in the 70's. They are so beautiful to watch.
Ok remember having to wait a whole week for part two !!!
Yes waiting a whole week for part 2was torture lol can you imagine if that happened today.
Wait no longer
Here's Part 2 (seems to be only viewable on a PC - iPhone didn't work):

This was great to see. I loved this show and how simple and great those days were.
I wish I could go back in time.
It really was. Just the style of the commercials shows how more laid back we were, and more family oriented. Sad to see how far we've sunk.
I have 2 box sets of this show. I never get tired of Steve or Jamie.
I'm as excited about the commercials as I am the show 😊❤
The greatest and most beautiful love story in TV history.Poetic, tragic and heartbreaking.
but with happy ending, even it took almost 20 years to get there
@@Anjelikg We weren't to know that then. Jaime was meant to be killed off. It was only the public outcry that forced the producers to reconsider and bring her back to life.Hence the bleakness of that final scene.
@@Anjelikg Yes. I watched Bionic Ever After TV movie and was happy they finally got married!
One of my favorite shows as a kid back in the 70's .im 49ys old.came across this by accident.had to watch
This episode is amazing and such great writing and acting and all. I remember it so well!
I love that you posted the original commercials, too. This brings me back to my childhood. I sure do miss being a seventies kid. Whenever I was on the swing set, I used to jump off, pretending to be Steve Austin. I loved running up the slide, too. Of course, that got me booted out of recess more times than I could count.
who out there remembers the bionic dog. aswell. these are the shows i lived and breathed. as a kid. im now 54 yrs. i still think its awsome.
Heck yeah!!! Luv Max!! Actually, luv all things German Shepherds. Yeah, Max was Cool!
The bionic dog doesn't ring a bell for me.
Oh.....
I'm getting old (r)
That's why.
Max the Bionic Dog joined the Bionic Woman in It's Third Season.
I want a Target Town game now ebay here i come. Great upload many thanks, those were the days.
I still think to this day it had one of the best opening sequences. The perfect fusion of action, dialogue, sound & music with the bionic parts schematics on display overlayed with his vitals as they rebuilt Steve and then that awesome freeze shot at the end with the shows name and the light effect centred on his bionic eye. A work of television art. What do we have today, we barely have opening credits for TV shows, and for those that do they’re not the scale or quality of this classic 70’s series.
Yep, ur right. I always thought it was awesome!!!!
oh hell yeah today TV is just garbage I mean don't get me wrong direction good TV shows on you can even say great but nothing is as great as 50 60 70s and 80s television man and maybe even some 90s
Yes,.. it brings tears to my eyes it is soooo good 👏🏿👍🏿
For the most part yes. I do think the intro for the original CSI was impressive. But you're right that most series intros just don't have that adrenaline pumping factor anymore.
Every week I'd plop down in front of our 25" RCA console TV and watch this, back then there was at least one quality show to look forward to everyday. Life rocked back then really.
Orange, u sure got that right!!! Never b shows and character's like this again!!
Old, yet still beautiful. Great idea for a series, love and science together. And, the whole principle around self-control! Thanks, so much. Blessings.

I'm 53 and loved The Six Million Dollar Man ! 🤩
I AM 55 NOW N I REMEMBERED WATCHING THE SHOW
In all the years I watched this show and the Bionic Woman, this is the first time I'm seeing this episode at age 50 wow!!
And who could have thought it would be a local re-run from 1978, but watched 42 years later? This is confusing.
I'm 52 used to watch this in England U.K. when I was a kid loved the Six Million Dollar Man! The doll was the gift at Christmas time, they used to do the operating table also! It was so interesting to see American adverts of the time. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to post this as you can see by the comments below you've made an awful lot of people very happy myself included!
Ah, the intro scenes takes me back. 1970's TV (and before) always did such a great job of turning a bright, sunny daytime shoot into nighttime using a filter and turning on high-beam headlights. So realistic! Would've been easier to cue the TV audience to put a pair of sunglasses on for those scenes and just film normally.
One of my favorite shows growing up loved Lindsay Wagner as the bionic women was so sad when they wrote her off the show I cried but glad they brought her back. Glad she got her own series watched all the time great times hard to believe it was over 40 years ago time flies by .
Yep, Lindsay Wagner was originally supposed to play Jaime for the two parter and that's it, but so many people wrote in to ABC, that they decided to bring Jaime Sommers back to life. Man, I was one of the ones who were happy they did!!!
Martin, u crybaby. Lol.
@@cathylarkin6436 I was another one who wanted Lindsey back after she died. She made a lasting impression in that two part guess appearance on the 6 Million Dollar Man show.
Wow! Even includes the actual ads from then!
And wow! Lindsay is so pretty. Those short shorts are in style again now. She was a trend setter ahead of her time!
I was still 16 just before my 17th birthday moving in with my life long girlfriend when this episode showed on TV in a small country Australian town .
I owned a Rifle, Car and a new girlfriend.

This was my favorite growing up...I really liked watching these 2!!!
Thanks for the memories of my teen years watching the six million dollar man.
I wish metv bellingham would add this to the sc-fi programming.
Brings back my childhood in the 70s
Ah the old days of TV, when you could suffer massive injuries in a fall but look like you're just taking a nap on the ground. :p
Saw the television series in about 1978. When I was just a 12 year old boy. Today 2023 is running.
Even today this film captivates the mind. ❤
I was about 7 years old when I used to watch this, brings back so many fond memories, best times of my life!
One major difference between the TV shows then and now is there were not many spoilers. When Jamie died in part 2 it was Shocking! The outcry was real. No one saw that coming and there was no social media to ruin the ending beforehand. It’s why most programming then was more impactful. The Six Million Dollar Man was science fiction and an escape for many, but still provided an emotional impact nonetheless.
I loved this show I miss the simplicity of tv shows and just life itself in the 70s
Grew up loving this show and the characters. Fast forward 27 years and I met my wife in the town that Lee had a Ranch in. Winchester ky

BEST SHOW EVER...
l LOOOVED watching this with my dad...bought back beautiful memories❤😢
I love the 2nd part where she rejects her bionics and Steve is chasing her in the storm. Man I remember wanting that Holly Hobbie oven sooo bad! How the heck can a lightbulb cook a cake or a pie! LOL!
It was the same as the easy bake, bit dang, Hollie Hobbie, I never knew!
I had a Hollie Hobbie themed birthday party when I was eight.
Good show....He was basically the TERMINATOR/CYBORG of the mid 70's.Just watch the introduction.
Watching this episode right now once again brings back those magical years when i was in elementary going crazy over Steve and Jaime...😊☺
Just love it ❤💯! Though they were annoying at the time when I was a kid, keeping the commercials in was a bright idea now that 45 years have passed. The whole experience gets you back then like a time-machine would.
I also love when Steve and Jamie run together - this reminds me of me adapting to my wife's pace on the rare occasions she would run. The relationship on screen is so credible.
I used to watch all its episodes with great interest in my childhood😊
I've always been a big SCI-FI geek . This presentation is like the "Buckingham Nicks" Of SCI-FI to me. Lee Majors and Lindsey Wagner make the perfect bionic team . This is great ! Thank you so much for posting it :)

Thanks for the upload. I was born in 1978. American commercials of any time period are the best. I sometimes play commercials in the background because they're so unique. Down to the general sound.
The only country that does the same for me is Spain. Spanish commercials are great too.
I still get the same feeling when that opening starts. One of the best Television opening credits ever made. I got so excited as a kid.

Yeees, March 15th 1975 on Saturday. Every little kid was watching this in New York City. Also through the series if you did not have a Steve and Jamie doll as a kid in the 1970s, then you were not Cool. 😊
"I've got a blow out. Damper 3" - I used this line a lot as a kid on my bike :)
The commercials were great seeing! I had a Fonz pinball machine!!! My cousin who is 2 years older than me had that Electronic Battleship!
I think the zoom in shot at 39:07, really made all the difference, & added so much detail & clarity to the story.
Loved watching this in the 70s growing up in Ireland. It went worldwide. This and Starsky and Hutch were my favorite shows. I've lived in California since I was 20. Last time I travelled to Los Angeles from San Francisco I made sure to pass through Ojai and it is just like it is in the show. White picket fences and ranch homes.
This was a treat and I even enjoyed the old commercials, was a kid in the 70s and loved this show, now im in my late 40s and here I am watching it again, Its to bad people dont really appreciate the time there in until its past but old shows like the 6 Million Dollar man bring it all back, a better simpler time instead of the crazyness and uncertanty now. Thanks for the putting this out there
This series made me and my brothers fall in love with medicine and we all became doctors
