I still remember playing Left 4 Dead on the 360 in 2008 and being amazed at the shadows my flashlight could cast If only 11 year old me could see stuff like this

I dont know if youll read this but a possible suggestion to add to this addon it would be cool to have this have a toggle were it auto spawns like CSM and well follows you around as if it was attached to you.

(Could also be because I love volumetric lighting :D) Also a question. Would it have dupe and save support? So for example if you would use CSM and would want the whole map to be affected you could just create a save instead of needing spawn it in every time.
hopefully wont be extremely expensive on the gpu, most volumetric lights use a simple but expensive technique that involves using alot of overlapping transparent objects, which gpus dont like
It is expensive, but the texture im rendering it to has significantly less resolution than the base screen, so its not too terrible. On average it uses about 30% of my GPU. I tested this on a RTX 4050 (laptop gpu)
See I wasn't that impressed until I saw objects blocking the light rays. That is darn near impossible to fake. I guess you could do a voxel thing like CS2 smoke grenades, but that wouldn't look so *crisp.*
