You can hear it in this video. Some old guy that's gonna criticize, on air, any QB that doesn't look like Brady. Inspite of the analylist that never played any sport at an elite level.
Coming back to this video after his rookie season is over. Without a doubt franchise quarterback for the Titans. Surround this guy with more talent and he will be a star.
Guys Skip Bayless has liked - Tebow, Manziel, RG3, Winston Guys Skip Bayless hates - Andrew Luck, Marcus Mariota, Derek Carr This is proof that Mariota will be a HOF, and Winston is a bust
***** I totally agree with you and Le Hairline . Skip Bayless always hates on the guys who will succeed but the next time you see him on tv, he's a damn fan! Smh...
It was great to see both Mariota and Winston do well! Been one of the best combines I have watched, everybody is living up to their hype. Now time for the Defensive Guys to show their stuff!
i gotta like this kid's skills and style he can bring something to the table to draft and get a young guy like Mariota he is a stud he can win games for ya team and win Super Bowls
To come into a team that was in one of the worst losing streaks and have the fans doubt him and even some of the players be filthy he was selected. He was damn near lower than the waterboy. He changed the whole team and wins started coming. They believe in him now. They need to get better players and then he will be a Superbowl Champ. Have not seen someone have as much impact on a team as Marcus.
this commentator talking about marcus having 4 picks in the first half and a sloppy first half…he has one of the lowest TD-INT ratios in the history of college football…don't tell me he's sloppy in the first half cuz he's not.
Mariota is just a kid with a lot of growing still to be done both physically and mentally If a team has the patience to let him mature slowly then the sky's the limit.
If you think about it teams don't need a QB with a 4.52 40 time and a 36 vertical its about can you make throw with tight windows and able to read defense Winston better I'm a Eagles fan so I want Marcus Mariota to be good but Winston better
GyNx Afro I can't believe that people still get hyped over these run first QBs. The history of them in the NFL is there for all to see. It could also be Mariota fans and Winston haters.
If you don't want to draft Mariota then you're crazy. I love his work ethic, and his improvement every year, The one question everyone has is will he adjust to a pro style offense (probably because of the failure of Dennis Dixon and many other spread QB's), I believe he will because he has the talent but he has the demeanor and the smarts something I believe those guys didn't have.
Ajay Bandagonda Last 2 FSU qb's went 1st round because they had a beautiful knowledge of the NFL system. Jameis is far and away the better QB than Ponder and EJ. Not sure why you would compare the 3 unless you don't know what you're talking about. I'm guessing you don't.
this guy will be a future Eagle I can promise you that, Chip Kelly is fantasizing of the potential this guy has in his offense it would be a dream come true, he is everything you want in a player especially someone calling the shots for your team
For everyone freaking out about the "poor decision making" comment Mayock makes around the 1:20 mark, he's talking about WINSTON. It's just hard to tell based on the way this video is cut from the source material.
I'm Honestly not seeing how people have Marcus dropping in there Mocks.. He is 6'4 225 Pounds. is a CLASS ACT, and has all Physical tools to be Elite. Does he have work to do? YES but he looks Dedicated and will do what it takes to become as good as he Can. Defiantly who id want to be the Face of my Franchise.
AMorrell14 hope you don't mean micheal vick, because his career was 10x better then those two bust. i hope the 14 doesn't mean your age because if you say micheal vick wasn't worth a first round then you don't know football but if your talking about someone else then nvm
I really hate when people say that. So what, now I hate Nick Foles because I want an upgrade? Shut up dude. Mariota is coming to Philly because Chip Kelly will do everything in his power to get him. I love Foles and I'll be happy if he's the starter. I'll be happier though with Mariota. He's a monster. He will lead the Eagles to to Super Bowl in the next 5 years.
Blackpuma striver I'm gonna be honest and say I was always suspect on Nick because he's one dimensional and we need a dual threat in our QB. Our system works better with it. Do you know how many 3 & outs we could've avoided with a QB that can run a couple yards? Truck loads dude. Those ints he was throwing before he got hurt really didn't sit well with me. I think Mariota could be way better than Foles IMO. Dude if we wanna get to the SB we gonna need every available skill possible. A mobile QB is a skill that we will need because Philly is not known to get top talent in key categories so to me this is a must have to get over the hump.
Honestly I think there both going to do well. Seems like people Love one and hate the other but I guess its a conversation... Idk if Mariota is NFL ready yet but I know that boy is going to be something special in the next few years. Jameis too.
Future titans QB right here Mariotas ceiling is going to be high in the pros this season. Lets say 3600 yards passing 500 on the ground 26 TDs 3 int. Rookie of the year and 2016 madden cover. Titan up.
if he only throws 3 ints it will be because they hold his hand the whole entire season with simple reads, half field reads, and a heavy dosage of the run game lol
Winston fans are delusional. They just discount every statistical proof that Mariota is better, and bring up their caveman arguments. "WAAH who cares if Jameis threw 20 INT's. Marcus has a system!" "WAAH who cares if Jameis has a shitty completion %, Marcus has a system!" "WAAH who cares if he can't run and is fat, Marcus has a system!"
You all sound STUPID for trying to discredit either QB! Show some damn respect for the Last 2 Heisman Trophy Winners in College Football! Both will be studs in the NFL...HOW ABOUT THAT?
Darrien Graham That is the most idiotic comment I've read. They were actually his 4th most common throw. pff-pffanalysisltd12.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Mariota-Routes.png
Josh Oliver Yeah and he usually threw like two stupid interceptions each game and nearly gave the game to far inferior teams on multiple occasions. Mariota > Winston
***** Edwin Maldonado DeAndrew White really was pretty shitty in games. He will be drafted late and have a subpar career in the NFL. I say a special teams contributor. #ROLLTIDE #GoEagles
Commentator "You cant throw four picks in the first half and then say ok im going to turn it on in the second half." Mariota threw around four interception the entire season what are you talking about lol.
NAW...they want him to be an Eagle so that they can be RIGHT about him being a GOOD QB...this boy ain't shit...Winston is way better...they always wanna MAKE THEIR GUYS BE BETTER THAN WHAT THEY SEEM...don't make a fuck what team he goes to...if he can REALLY PLAY...it shouldn't matter...but NAW...they might do some BULLSHIT to prove a point...U NEVER KNOW WHEN POLITICS GET INVOLVED.... I'M JUS SAYIN...
Pancho Birdow I believe Winston is the better QB, but Mariota best bet is to play for the Eagles because others teams in the NFL don't do no huddle type offenses besides the Eagles. Winston can play any team that runs a Pro Style offense because he came from thst type of offense at FSU.
GrandChamp211 I want Winston in Oakland cause I'm a RAIDER...but it's not gonna happen cause they THINK CARR IS GOOD...but it doesn't matter with Mariota, he's not that good to me anyway...
Marcus is a better athlete but anyone that watched the combine cannot say he was the best thrower. In fact he I ranked him 3rd in throwing the ball behind Petty and Winston. Winston arm is amazing and truly special to watch. Also Petty is a sleeper but he needs to be worked on
I was also surprised by Petty. He had trouble throwing to the out-routes on the right but he's a big dude with a big arm. Jameis put them all to shame and made it look easy.
Folks, although you keep writing your negative opinions about this guy, he won't give a sh** what you think because he's going to learn and fight hard to be better. It's simple. Keep hating, but the reality is none of us know the future outcome of his career. As far as I know, he's absolutely a better football player and will have way more money than all of us.

Mariota is a better athlete than jameis but at throwing the ball i give a slight edge to winston. But what makes Mariota a better qb is his good desicion making and ability to be coached not saying that winston cant be coached but he has that attitude you dont want on the sidelines after a mistake and not mentioning winstons off the field issues that spells trouble. But i do believe winston will go before mariota why idk i think mariota better accuracy wise and a better athlete so he can get out those bad situations but we will se what happens.
I like Winston as the more NFL ready but I don't know about the person. He may be kinda crazy and millions of dollars only brings out more of what you are. He's gonna be a handful for whoever drafts him.
I think that both guys have potential to be great but I gotta give my edge to Marcus. Even though Winston is the more "pro ready" qb he has a tendency to force balls and the amount of interceptions he threw against his competition this year worries me. His off the field antics are also in question but other then the rape allegation it just seems that it is just immaturity. I think if you want a guy to come in and start immediately though you take Winston because he's built like an NFL qb and came from an NFL style offense, and he's also a more vocal leader which will help him especially early in his career. The reason that I take Marcus though is because I think that his ceiling Is a little bit higher with his athleticism and his character is much better than winston's. Both of these guys have high football IQs and really know their offense. But Marcus has shown to be a better decision maker and that shows in his astounding td-int ratio. I also think that his work ethic will translate to the pros and that his teammates will gravitate towards that leadership by example that those analysts were talking about. The downside of mariota is that he will need time to develop and learn the offense because of where he came from in college. I don't think he's one of those system quarterbacks though because I don't think its possible to throw 52 TDs and only throw 3 picks on a season just because you play in a good system against quality competition in the pac-12. I think both will have their bright spots and and their struggles in the NFL but I would pick Marcus based off of character and his athleticism over Winston. I think both of their armstregths are top notch so that answers that question. But in my opinion it's Marcus over Jameis.
the reason why people bring up the system is because 1) every QB has great stats in that system and 2) it doesn't really translate to the NFL unless he is going to drafted by Philly. They are legit concerns. Jamies had a lot of interceptions this year, but he also carried his team more this year and had to force a lot of throws. If you look at his freshman year when he had a better team he had an outstanding td to int ratio. Mariota is just the riskier pick and at one you don't take him over the guy who grades out better than any other QB prospect in the past 15 years not named Andrew Luck. It would be foolish to pass on Jamies for Mariota. This is not a decision you over think. You turn on the film and let it talk to you. When you do that the decision becomes pretty clear actually.
"You can't throw 4 interceptions and then just say, I'll step it up in the second half." Actually Russel Wilson and the LOB might have something to say about that. :D Just saying
Guys I am from the future and I promise on Super Bowl 51 Marcus will throw an amazing hail marry to win the Super Bowl against the Colts. I know there are gonna be a lot of haters on meh but idgaf cause ok what really happened and btw I like taco sticks
Mariota is certainly a top 25 QB, I'll give him that, but he's not even close to the playing ability of Jameis Winston, who is already an MVP candidate and the biggest asset in the NFL after just 1 year. I'm glad Mariota proved all the trolls wrong and proved he can be in the NFL the rest of his career. He's very solid and Tennessee has a bright future.
Then what is he? Bucs went from 2-14 to a budding playoff team in his rookie year. He's going to be a darkhorse for MVP this year in Dirk Koetter's offense you just watch.
+MrBlueD3V1L basketball isn't a team sport like football is you need every man in that turf to contribute in basketball you can win games by one person having a good night
How many rushing yards did your starting RB have last season? Name your receivers. How many rushing yards did Tennessee have last season? Who are their receivers?
if the Rams trade their pick to the eagles or if they waste a pick on a cb instead of getting Mariota i would be so upset. He looks like a talented qb with a very good work ethic. I have a feeling however that Jeff Fisher and the Rams wouldnt take him because of the style of offense he is most familiar with isnt relative to the Rams Offensive scheme. But watching the 49ers go to the superbowl with an option offense, the seahawks win a superbowl with an option offense and redskins and carolina go to the playoffs with an option offense i hope that Rams take Mariota and adapt a new style of offense, one more quicker especially with a quick WR like Tavon and fresh legs with the RB Tre Mason. TAKE MARIOTA!
It is interesting to watch ESPN trash Mariota and build up James Winston, Mariota jumps 13 " father and they call it 5 " Winston is not even close, they trash Mariota throws to build up Winston. Here we are 3 years later and Winston has the lead league in INT and commands a losing team. It sucks to be a Bucs fan and watch Bucs lose so many games with such talented receivers like Mike Evans, Brate, Humphries.
So outside of Cam Newton which running, spread offense QB has actually had sustained success in the NFL? We go through this every year. I knew Cam would be ok because when I saw him throw I was OMG he has a haulitzer attached to his right shoulder this will work. I just don't see jaw dropping talent from Marcus. He's a good kid and has good stats in college but I don't see the same jaw jopping talent that I saw in Cam that made me think ok of all the spread offrense running QBs that have come in the league this is the guy that will stick around the longest. I wish him well but I have my doubts.
I heard someone else say that but I'm not sure they're ready to give up on him yet. I think there is a reason the Eagles are waiting on signing a couple upcoming FAs. I think they make a push for him. They may even give up Shady which wouldn't really bother me much. I don't like his running style.
I'm getting tired of saying he only wins in a chip Kelly offense...Do you people realize how often you have to throw the ball from the pocket? Foles did A LOT...Vick did, A LOT (who obviously has wheels). Kelly will stick with Bradford, and that's the end of it.
I think the whole Marcus vs Winston thing is stupid..... no ones knows anything until they play with the big boys, have a good line and a good RB, etc.... Marcus is more of an athlete, and Winston throws a little better, it's a trade off, they are both great players.
I hope my Eagles won't move up to draft him. Chances are that he will have a slightly better production in Chip Kelly's system over Foles, but if the goal here is to win games then Foles + 2 first round picks (or whatever the price is) is blatantly better then 1 Marcus Mariota. Foles has experience and has had some successes. Mariota would likely be another Cam Newton.
I'm not going to argue skill between the 2 but with Winston's off the field issues they just scream problem to me. But I look forward to be proven wrong.
My favorite college QB ever. He plays the game with grace and humbleness like nobody i've ever seen.
Colt Brennan comes to mind.

And the last pic was just a throw up at the end of the natty.
As soon as Mariota took the field Chip Kelly never took his eyes off him. I think Kelly is all in on this young man.
...as his former player I'm sure he was interested..
Seems to be a trend. He was the same way about Dion Jordan until the dolphins jumped him.
"You cant throw 4 picks in the first half and expect to come back"
He had 4 INTs all season.
erm
Lol!

you heard it here first. along down the road, a couple years from now, if they develop mariota properly, they will compare him to Rodgers.
winston proved to be more NFL ready just like every expert said.
What's your point?
what is he going to go ecuipe ?
Good QB!
I think he needs to go to the Kansas City With his old buddy D.Thomas plus they have some good Wr's
"You can't throw 4 interceptions and then just say, I'll step it up in the second half." Actually Russel Wilson and the LOB might have something to say about that. :D Just saying
Looked great
Guys I am from the future and I promise on Super Bowl 51 Marcus will throw an amazing hail marry to win the Super Bowl against the Colts. I know there are gonna be a lot of haters on meh but idgaf cause ok what really happened and btw I like taco sticks
The colts can't play the Titans in the super bowl bro
+cmpunk2002 "It's just a prank bro"
Mariota is certainly a top 25 QB, I'll give him that, but he's not even close to the playing ability of Jameis Winston, who is already an MVP candidate and the biggest asset in the NFL after just 1 year. I'm glad Mariota proved all the trolls wrong and proved he can be in the NFL the rest of his career. He's very solid and Tennessee has a bright future.
Winston is not an MVP candidate lol. But yes Winston and Mariota are both bright quarterbacks who will be successful.
Will Benton he still throws like 20 picks tho
if the Rams trade their pick to the eagles or if they waste a pick on a cb instead of getting Mariota i would be so upset.
Dude instead of doing a 3 step drop he does like a 5 step drop
+Jace Grillo He is more of a conservative QB so I guess it makes sense.
There's so much hate on Winston and Mariota, why not like both?
why the fuck are the combines always held at Lucas Oil Stadium?
Obviously Mariota is one of the better quarterbacks
Marcus mariota mvp
Tua next💯
Absolutely. Once I heard Alabama subbed Jalen for Tua, I knew it was over for Georgia lmao.
Mariota has crab legs when he drops back, I'll bet Winston was salivating.
I want mariota to go to the Rams because the Rams are going for a quarterback in the first round, trust me, they are
mark ulrich Rams have tenth pick. Mariota's gonna be long gone.
Comment What Team You Want Mariota Drafted Down Below.
I hope he can replace Alex Smith from the Chiefs
I heard someone else say that but I'm not sure they're ready to give up on him yet. I think there is a reason the Eagles are waiting on signing a couple upcoming FAs. I think they make a push for him. They may even give up Shady which wouldn't really bother me much. I don't like his running style.
Eagles just got Murray
Yes please
If he's still there when they pick, look for the Saints to take Mariota if he's available.
Here because of Bryce Young hype. Nothing else
Come to the Jets, Marcus!
jkoff76 Right? If the jets get stuck with geno, It's gonna be another sad year.
Sad thing is, he probably will be the starter next year.
I'm getting tired of saying he only wins in a chip Kelly offense...Do you people realize how often you have to throw the ball from the pocket? Foles did A LOT...Vick did, A LOT (who obviously has wheels). Kelly will stick with Bradford, and that's the end of it.
Prophetic
I think the whole Marcus vs Winston thing is stupid..... no ones knows anything until they play with the big boys, have a good line and a good RB, etc.... Marcus is more of an athlete, and Winston throws a little better, it's a trade off, they are both great players.
I thinks it's more of the mental aspect, not the physical. Jameis is far more pro ready.
Leave your comments below cause ima be in the NFL soon when I'm grown up that's a promise
1 year later working on it 😎💪
@@michaelgonzalez6961 How's it going?
mariota better be a jet
He is fast
If you look at Winston's combine highlights you find he throws a much more accurate ball but is slower and less athletic
If he ends up being Cam Newton i'd rather have that than Nick Foles.
@0:38 will be pic 6 in NFL
mariota never threw 4 picks in a half east coast byist
Who’s here after getting benched for Tannehill?
Me
I'm not going to argue skill between the 2 but with Winston's off the field issues they just scream problem to me. But I look forward to be proven wrong.
Why r people taking winston and mariota like leaf and manning.what if there both good or both bad
Super Mario!
Broncos :D
+Dan Finley he's the new qb?
lets just hope he gets drafted to a decent team. if he goes some place like the browns, his career will end before it even starts lmao
