    I completely agree that Trevor is acting like a bit of a goblin about the whole thing, however in his defense id say its pretty apparent how communication has never been his strong suit, in spite of the testimonies that hes a great guy. I think his somewhat grating personality and faux confidence that he employs on the internet definitely misconstrued his point. Rob is absolutely responsible for introducing concept, however for a while it was more in the circle of baseball geeks; when Trevor says he “popularized it” i think he’s referring to the younger audience of players, kids and more casual fans are now quite familiar with it which I would have to say is definitely largely because of him.

    • @PitchingNinjaVideos
      @PitchingNinjaVideos  27 дней назад +2

      Very reasonable response. To your second point, I don't have apathy towards Trevor. I was "accused" of helping "create" Trevor, which is untrue. He's an interesting character who's done a lot of good for pitching training etc. over the years. He just can't get out of his own way. And when he comes at me, I'm gonna show the truth. If you've watched my social media accounts over the years, you'd know I've been very complimentary of him as a pitcher. But, if you make stuff up about me, I'm always going to defend myself with the truth. Sitting back and letting someone tell lies about you is just not something I'm gonna do.

      It's not Bauer hate. It's defending myself against someone who was not telling the truth about me. I would hope that most folks would do the same thing. Blaming me for something that he started (basically he was claiming I'm somehow leaching off of something HE did) is not a good look. I've never spoken out against him other than when he just totally made stuff up about me. If he didn't didn't start it, I would never have gotten involved.

    • @PitchingNinjaVideos
      @PitchingNinjaVideos  27 дней назад +2

      Exactly. If Bauer just said he was frustrated about his MLB situation and shouldn't have done all that, I never would've said anything. The MLB thing is totally separate and I don't have a dog in that fight. He's certainly more than good enough to be a very good MLB pitcher, but his desire for drama is what's keeping teams from picking him up IMO. This is a total unforced error by him..and it reinforces the fact he can't get out of his own way. It's frustrating for me, because I like watching him pitch. But, why obviously make something up that didn't happen? He could just clarify that he was happy that I got the chance to create the stat and he feels like his sword k strut helped expand the popularity...instead of making it look like I had no involvement and that claim that somehow I "worked" for him (which never ever happened, not even for a fraction of a second). He knows me and knows where to reach me. But he chose drama and I chose to defend myself against his untruths.

      Is Bauer good enough to pitch in Major League Baseball? Yes, no one is disputing that. But professional baseball is a job, which we often forget. If you were an employer, would you want to hire someone who does nothing but talk about how awful your company is? You could be perfectly qualified, have the necessary experience, an immaculate resume, but if you give the interviewer the middle finger during your interview, they're not going to hire you
