The best part is that you barely even touched on the fact that Remnant 2 managed to both work as a great single player experience, and the best multiplayer experience you can get out of the soulslike genera. No nonsense of dealing with codes or limited resources to coop a single boss and then have to do it again. You have three player coop available at all times and can go from start to finish of the entire campaign while joining only once. It has some latency issues at time depending on connections, and the scaling makes the harder difficulties particularly brutal, but it's still infinitely better than any other coop experience I've seen in the genera.
Doing it solo in HC kinda sucks though XD. One wrong step and you have to start completely over from scratch. And you can't rely on some god mode tank build to save you. (although you can cheese it with a friend, at least until it gets patched)

Sekiro is specifically built around pure skill-based challenge from the ground up, and while I haven’t played remnant 2 yet (pls don’t crucify me I’m getting to it) it doesn’t seem like it’s built that way. When you get surprised with a sekiro boss in the middle of not sekiro it can feel frustrating and jarring. Especially when that boss can’t be beaten by smacking dude with sword and parrying to make satisfying “CLANG” noises

Just so people know the REMNANT grind. I got the pocketwatch first try which is the rarest instance of the city TWICE before I got the ASSAULT RIFLE mission after 30 hours of rerolling.... AND I WOULD GLADLY SUFFER AGAIN because the first game is just that fun!
I kept getting more weapons in Remnant and going "I could use this, or I could use the hunting rifle that kills enemies before they even see me." No need to worry about those obnoxious wide-range melee attacks when the enemy never gets close enough to use them.
Honestly, they are NOT bad games; although I rage like a rabid wolf when I play them; I realize that is more of a "me" thing and not the game being bad.
Well. There are 3 worlds (devs have hinted at more in DLC). Each world has 2 main storylines. So there is a total of 6 main stories that run parallel to the "Game Story". If you are confused, just know I am doing my best to not drop spoilers because this is an "experience game" that is best played "blind" for your first run. But there is one world I will tell you about. The one that was flown into the center of a supermassive black hole that caused a Big Bang. And the world sat in this blackhole as the entire universe went through MULTIPLE heat deaths and Big Bangs. It say there for so long that this dead world had many many apocalypses. So many in fact, that half of the cool factor when you are there is figuring them all out.
There's very minor references to the first one, and there's even a Souls Like that acts as a Prequel to the first game which is referenced. Overall you can just hop into the 2nd game as you play as a new MC, though yes the town hub is the same people you met in the first game, but you are treated and caught up as a new player anyways since your MC is new to all this.
This game is fun, sure, but the game felt over too quick. Adventure mode is there, sure, but like Remnant 1, the main story is very short. The game could have had a longer main story and added some of the "variations" as part of the main story on each world. Also, having more things to do would have been good. I did like the illusory wall in Yaesha. That was a nice touch.

That was good, but I personally enjoyed "peasant village from Bloodborne, and....Detroit!" a bit more.
Can't wait for the DLC. I enjoyed a lot of the weapons and builds, combined with the fun boss fights.

Totally agree. My favorite tidbit is that the cubes move in rhythm with the music. It helped me when navigating the arena.
