Honestly my reaction to seeing the Black Heart return was “This again? Alright, second verse, same as the first, time to put it back in the hearse.” For context, I just finished watching Hellsing Abridged.

Back in D1 the dangers of the black heart were vague and not really explained well. But now we know the danger and it feels more impactful to the fight
I remember back in d1 that mission gave me the biggest adrenaline rush a seven year old could have and seeing this now just makes me laugh at the fond memories of my younger gaming experiences.
It feels kind of cool that the final part of this mission was a remix of the original Black heart fight. Cause this time there's an actually story with risks behind the Black Heart.
I'm a D1 player, and I lost both my accounts that had D1 in them, I Played D1 after the Release of Rise of iron and it hurts me to hear either Ghost or one of the characters of the game saying "Oh the Guardians did this" not the "We or You did this thing" it feels like it's taunting with disrespect on me, that's why I hate What Bungie did with the memory system of the game, don't get me wrong, the Expansions are good, and replaying the old missions of past Expansions is still great to this Day, but SUNSETTING ESSENTIAL STORY CONTENT?! That's just The worst thing they can do.
As someone who didn't experience Destiny 1 and only the entirety of Destiny 2 since Launch, I found this mission to be quite dissapointing. Both Lost and Seraph were huge missions with alot of implications and threats. This was "kill that mcguffin again" feel. And the Osiris Line were kinda mid ngl. I love Destiny 2 with all my heart, but this was Lightfall type writing here man
This had a ton more impact for the d1 vets cause the maguffin back then was even MORE unclear and vague about the dangers. This time it felt like there was a risk coming from the heart.
@@Sonichero151 haven't really thought about that, but yeah, back then you were just told to destroy it without even knowing what or why it is. I just kinda feel it came out of nowhere. You destroyed the Black Heart, in LF even the architect so they couldn't do it again, then it returns as a simulation of the replication. Why is that impacting us then? Why aren't they mass producing that shit, if they have the means to? Why is Osiris' dialogue so bad? I really have some issues with this and I haven't been so upset at the story since Lightfall. I get it is a really cool callback, but it just is based on so little sense it might as well be a fever dream
To add to this, this is a highly subjective take, but the mission really didn't do it for me at all. I had no connection to it and it came out of nowhere for me
"So... think you can kill a god?"
"Don't think I have a choice."
Honestly wanna see this in TFS when we kill the witness
“I *always* come back”
-The Black Heart
Guardians: I thought you were dead....
The Black Heart: My death... was greatly exaggerated
When i saw it in d2 i was like: what? Not again...
SAME
"YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO BE DEAD!!!"
"Am I not? Huh.."
I did this with my titan friend last night, and the literal first thing he did was thundercrash the heart
Certified titan moment
Ptsd intensifies
Average blue crayon eater 😂
I love this 😆
This was the biggest "ohhh shit" moment I've had in a while.

Pretty thematic I’d say that we defeated the Black Heart in vanilla D1 and we defeat it again before the “finale” of Destiny. We’ve come full circle
The Taco Bell bong playing just as the bullet came through 💀
I know right 😂 the damn timing 💀

Guardians: CROW KILLED CAYDE AND HE IS THE MOST EVIL PERSON EVER I WONT FORGIVE HIM AHHHhHhHh
Cayde after meeting crow : 🤝🕺🕺
I love it so much, two awesome and badass Hunters, love em both! 😎
@aksula-1 I stayed up a bit late watching the stream last night
Black heart on that taniks shit istg
I understand that its re-used, but it reminds us of the significance of destroying it in the past and present

Good times… I remember beating original mission when I was 14, now, 10 years later, completing it again

“dawg how’d I not put the lorentz driver in my stash 💀💀💀”

I loved how this showed just how strong we have become since d1 vanilla
“How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man!”

This brought back all kind of feels......man....
Patchy the Pirate: that’s it? THAT’s the final mission?
When i did this, the door opened and my immediate thought process was "wait... thats not meant to be there..."
I saw it and went
"Yooo no way!!! They remade it!" I personally really enjoyed the og black heart mission it was hectic enough to be a challange
Same. It felt damn good to come back to this as the final mission before the final shape
@@Sonichero151 felt great and poetic we come back to where we started to ensure we are able to prevent oblivion
Would love to see your reactions to the final shape campaign
Already doing it! :D
Gonna Live Stream the entire day and take my sweet time enjoying it and the skybox!!
@@aksula-1 nice!!!
As a D2 player, I can confirm that the thumbnail is accurate, as that was me
this was such a blast from the past
Right when I saw the golden circular gate I fucking knew what was behind it
Me the entire fight: surely i get to fight the heart itself and not just some big minotaurs ..... right
Me after: oh, thats it
As someone who beat black heart severely under levelled in d1
Shit scared me.
nah man black has become taniks 2.0
As a new warlock i was kinda like "cool"

IT’S BACK!
10:57 I was one of those players :D
Thinking about it, they could make that mission a strike, and they should (but all vex take out the taken)
It looks like part 1 of Bungie’s ViDoc is being held tomorrow. Think you’re gonna react to that when you get the chance?
Wait WHAT!? I know nothing of this! Hell yeah I'll react! Any trailers, any ViDocs, ya boi is REACTING 😎
