Lucia Escribano Not really. Argentines are pretty white. Most of them a mix of Italian and Spanish which is basically white mixed with even more white. Afro-Argentines and pardos are the minority. One could even say that Argentines are the whitest Latinos in Latin America when it comes to ethnicity. Or Uruguayans since they’re also pretty white.

Argentina, South Brazil and Uruguay are all known for their grilled cattle meat. In Brazil it is called churrasco, in Argentina and Uruguay is known as asado. As an Argentine, I gotta say we make the best steak along with Uruguay. Cattle meat is such an important part of our culture, that we both have the highest consumption of red meat per capita in the world. The culture of Uruguay really is just an extension of the culture of Buenos Aires.
