Just installed your kit on my 4018, made a big difference especially with a heavy snowcaster. Much easier steering now.

Thank you to you AND your camera person.
I did this upgrade on a craftsman DGT 4000.
    It made an incredible difference.
I also had oversized tires and wheels front and back.
I then did an extreme severe duty ( idiot) test.
Ground hog holes, severe slopes ( as in if you don't lean on turns) 8 mph.
7 acre yard normally took about 10-12 hours.
I pounded the thrust bearing until it shattered in about 6 hours.
I then replaced everything with 1 difference.
I put 1 thin washer, 1 thrust washer, 1 thin washer on the bottom side.
I repeated the idiot test and it survived with 0 damage measurable after disassembly.
    Yard mowed in 8 hours.
I'm well over 50 and this hurt a lot, but I couldn't trust anyone to do the exact same thing twice for the many hours it would take to do a destructive test.
And yes I had a small junkyard of parts just in case the fail point was at an unexpected place.
    Final discovery:
1 if you have room on bottom for 2 thin washers that " sandwich " the thrust washer. DO IT !
2 Get someone else to do destruction tests ! !
3 The thrust washer will leave your shoulders and upper back muscles almost pain free.
Unless you drive like an idiot.
4 It's very easy to replace the thrust washer every year and slip it a tiny bit of grease every 7 acres.
Thank you for sharing this idea it allowed me to keep my job several more years past my prime.
I just had no idea how to put it on RUclips.

Oh Elmer, Elmer.. A couple things. First we don't have a record of you buying a kit from us? Did you get our US Made kit from us directly? If not not, then not sure why you would take your negative attitude here with your maybe cheap China parts? Second out of thousands of people you are one of a very small handfull with anything negative to report for results. We also found some of the others with negative reports, installed the parts incorrectly.....(know the type? Too busy knowing it all, in a rush to say something negative about something or somebody for self validation and with lots of time on their hands in their "joyfull" existence. But the real problem often ends up being their fault of in the end. Know the type?) Last though all machines do benefit from the less resistance of the installation. The bigger differences "felt" are on good quality heavy duty, heavy weight QUALITY machines. And/or machines with plows, blowers etc hanging off the front. The cheap, lightweight throwaway mowers or box store style mowers will not feel as much of an improvement without a front attachments on them. Like the heavy duty machines in the video actually do. The one THIS VIDEO shows weigh on average 1000 to 2000 lbs depending on model, Added weight and attachments.. Where YOUR light mower weighs under 475lbs.... And it is crazy to think a new little lawnmower like yours and so light needs streering improvements, but with any of todays over price poor quality I guess nothing is surprising sadly.. So maybe make sure you have a quality kit to start, actually installed correctly and as far as the little light duty mower you have there we'll not much right now you can do about that. But thanks for watching and your ray of sunshine comment and representation.... Have sparkling week Elmer.
