Getting a white actor to depict a Latino in this age would be unacceptable, and rightly so. Getting a Latino actress to depict a character of Northern European decent is also unacceptable. Snow White is part of German and European culture and to depict it as otherwise is totally unacceptable and unauthentic. Every race has the right to defend and preserve their own culture.

Facts. Disney is trying so hard to include other cultures that ruining the classics. They are not staying true to what we know as fun and adoring, loving movies. It is best left untouched fr. And PS, I kind of read the last line wrong. We are all one race, the human race, but come from different parts of the world, so everyone is entitled to be apart of their own cultures.
Culture isn’t isolated to race and evolve over time. I’m not a fan of change forcing race changes into story’s just for diversity, especially in a story where the title of the very story should restrict the race of the person playing her, but that shouldn’t dictate that you couldn’t have a white hispanic, white Arab or what ever pale skin person you find play the part. the culture in the US belongs to everyone here despite race, if you want to “preserve” some cultural heritage then you should promptly go back to your country of origin and maintain it there.

i just kinda feel the "Snow White is a leader" thing was already done in Snow White and The Huntsman so going that route of "fearless leader" isn't a new concept on the big screen.
Plus it got mixed responses. Though I admit the Evil Queen in that movie was great, and it was visually well done for the time of release.

Snow White was created by The Brothers Grimm 2 German librarians. The only part Walt did was animate and change the dark end of the story. There was no women empowerment part to story or even a part where father said anything like that. The wire's version is likely to be remembered over Disney remaking and Race swapping.

I’m for this new Snow White movie 🎉 this is what needs to be done to marvel and Star Wars now, other versions of movies that have no agenda push, but live up to the classics that we all know and love.
Well if Star Wars continues on its path and you’re looking for a fun and intriguing story in space I recommend Warhammer! Henry Cavell is currently making a series on it and he wants to stick to its lore as much as possible since he’s super into its universe (as a nerd we can all look up to), but full warning it’s super gory and once you go down the rabbit hole it’s hard to stop, and it never ends 😅

I'm realistically it's not even all about all that s*** that I just said in the last comment. It's the fact that they're taking movies and a movie style that for years and years and years has categorically been for men, meaning that largely men watch these things like X-Men Star wars. These were all franchises specifically aimed at men. Now there are women who watch these things but they are a far far smaller group and as the numbers tell it not enough to support these movies out there spitting out It's literally like you've taken a man's genre and are trying to make women watch it, but that's not the target audience like women go for romance and s*** like that. Not action and blah blah blah. So you make a movie that's aimed at women but doesn't attract them at all. And you're surprised that you're not making money. That's like a movie like beer fest into a romance thing and pissed off that women won't the watching. Why don’t they cast Morgan Freeman as General Robert E. Lee, if color doesn’t matter? How about Jamie Foxx as Adolph Hitler? Why not Mark Wahlberg to play Conquistador Cortez or Juan Ponce De Leon? I wonder if color wouldn’t matter then. Casting a white actor into any character of color would suddenly make color extremely important. That’s how hypocritical they are in Hollywood. Any German, or anyone of British or Scandinavian descent can be replaced by someone of color, but don’t you dare cast anyone with Arian features into characters of color. Why can’t they just write new stories of people of color? When I hear the word little, I think of what we usually call kids. If I make a movie called The Little turtle or The Little Otter, you instantly think of a very young turtle or otter, like in childhood. So the casting was way off. It should have been an eleven or twelve year old actress playing Ariel, not a full grown adult like Bailey? I bet a child in the role would have done better at the box office. In fact, I’m sure of that.
