I hate when people compare wrestling to UFC because when you match up the amount of days they have matches wrestlers are out there every single week not even including dark matches, but they also aren't punching each other in the face and non-stop actually. At the age of 3 years old, seeing my older cousin having a copy of wrestlemania 14 and seeing stone cold steve austin winning the wwf championship against Shawn Michaels was the first time I ever saw and got hooked into wrestling and after 25 years later, I’m still hooked into wrestling, my 1 year old daughter is barely new into this world, but every time when I tune into wrestling, she stops whatever she’s doing and watches it with her dad, wrestling has been very special to me, it brings me back to my childhood, from when all of my uncles would gather around and have bbqs and invite me to watch stone cold raise hell, or when triple h won the wwf championship against the rock and saw the undertaker return at judgement day with a new look, those are the memories I’ll never forget, especially with my uncles who are no longer with me, these are the memories I’ll always cherish, and also is the reason why I’ll never grow out of it or continue watching it , cause wrestling has a special place in my heart!!!!!

Pro wrestling is something that I watch when I want to escape from all the bullshit that's going on in my life and to see someone reach the mountain top like Cody did at mania 40, I'm in love with it to such an extent that now it doesn't even matter whether it's fake or not, I've even watched wwe in 2018 and 2019 and still found it entertaining, I just love pro wrestling and I'm straight.
People watch different things to escape from the real world yet wrestling is still dunked on by people who could watch a marvel or star wars series to escape. It gives you moments you will never ever forget in your life from matches, segments, returns etc. Non fans love to say “iT’s FAkE” but I don’t care because it’s SO MUCH FUN and I appreciate every single person who has stepped in the ring just to entertain us

When I was a kid, I was bullied a lot. For those 5 hours a week I could escape and watch people I believe in. Watching Flair and Cena helped me improve my speech and speaking skills. Teddy Long and Shelton Benjamin helped me understand that prejudice is dumb. Wrestling really helped me improve life. I’m happy to have gotten back into it at the start of 2023.

Pro wresting is inherently stupid. But it’s also ridiculously impressive what these guys and girls do in the ring. Whether it’s demonstrating their athleticism, pain tolerance, strength, or intelligence. It’s a fun watch as long as you take it at face value. A tv show and theatrical performance.

I ask myself this question every time I watch wrestling. There is no reason whatsoever to be enjoying it, especially since most of the time you know the outcome or you're guessing the outcome based on factors that have nothing to do with the 'sporting/competition' of a match. Even afterwards, we discuss whether we're happy with the finish. We know pretty much every secret, including why some performers do certain things in their entrances. This should not be entertaining, although I do think WWE has been living off the Attitude Era for quite a while.

I've never understood the comments like "it's fake, why would you watch it". I think it has to do with a couple of things: 1. People thinking that we don't know that it's theatre, given the old history of protecting kayfabe. 2. Seeing what is set up like a legitimate contest and thinking "why would you watch a 'fake' contest instead of a real one", not understanding that it's the story of the match that unfolds that makes it great.
People forget wrestling is Basically called Competitive Theatre. There is a script but at any moment and very often there are changed that happen on the fly due to Audience reception

One of my friends said that wrestling was gay to me recently in the UFC is the good shit that’s the real thing and all this other shit and we watch the pay-per-view and it was just a lot of dudes cuddling on the ground for like six matches or some shit like that, and then at the end, there was an actual fight where it was more combat instead of hugging up on each other, sniffing each other‘s balls, then I watched wrestlemania and it was nothing but combat UFC is delusional and there’s nothing wrong with some male erotica. It’s just not my thing but I’ll watch highlights I guess.
Like I said pro wrestling is the best scripted show on earth. Batista said it best that nothing gives him adrenaline like wrestling.

I've never understood the comments like "it's fake, why would you watch it". I think it has to do with a couple of things:
1. People thinking that we don't know that it's theatre, given the old history of protecting kayfabe.
2. Seeing what is set up like a legitimate contest and thinking "why would you watch a 'fake' contest instead of a real one", not understanding that it's the story of the match that unfolds that makes it great.
