Senators Rafael Warnock and John Ossoff must be sent back to Washington. I am from Georgia, a Democrat and was very pleasantly surprised that they won those hard fought Senate Seats. That was a great day in Georgia,when the first Black Senator and the First Jewish Senator were elected on the same day! I was just so proud too when Barack Obama was elected. But I remember when we elected a President from the state of Georgia our beloved President Jimmy Carter, and his wife Sweet Rosalynn. We must elect Kamala Harris our President and Tim Walz, our Vice President. That feeling is in the air. Time to prove everyone wrong and head for the future because WE ARE NOT GOING BACK! 💙🇺🇸💙
I was in the military stationed in Germany Carter's 2nd run for potus. My 1st time eligible to vote I voted for carter. Love him still. I got out of the military and have been living in Georgia since 88. Was here for the DNC of 88'. Kkk was still active and legally parading downtown Atlanta, with police protection, hooded without masks. Hosea Williams led a march in segregated Cummings Ga,Forsyth county. I was a little shocked, i had been in Germany for 6yrs, it was a total different world then. As a black female, i felt more welcomed in Germany, than i had experienced in deep south usa during the civil rights movement, voting rights, integration of schools and public places. To see Georgia changing with the wide population of diversity, warms my heart@QuiltLady
