hey! i noticed you mentioned a dr in NYC and i thought id shoot ya a message about health care stuff. i started HRT through a planned parenthood in denver, and they were fucking awesome about everything-- like SO informed and patient and wonderful and validating (even for a nonbinary person like me) and they worked with my insurance to make sure everything was covered in house and it was such an easy process after months of struggling with other endocrinologists and whatever. i just recently moved to NYC and was desperately trying to avoid getting a dif doctor because of all the politics and bullshit around trying to get informed and adequate health care, but the Planned parenthood in brooklyn (the boro hall location) is starting to work with trans folx and HRT tomorrow! i have an appointment with them and have spoken with them over the phone and they seem just as educated and great about stuff so far, and function off informed consent.. so definitely check that out as an option because i literally cannot talk my experience with PP up enough. anyways, i enjoy watching your updates and its def good to see other trans folx in nyc even if its just over the interwebs :P
