I just use my old iPhone 4s and first generation se as my iPods, why make extra work for yourself ? I take out the SIM card, delete all the unnecessary apps and just fill them with music, this method really works great for me.

Amazing! the second i saw these available on aliexpress i bought 5 of them thinking the same thing as you, that it would just work flawlessly. I couldn't get any of them to work in any iPods i tried. Il have another look at it and try reflowing that chip. If these things actually work its a bit of a game changer at that price.

Hey! Thanks for the comment, I watch your videos, and I've learned a lot from you about iPods. Try reflowing the chip, i'm sure it will fix most, if not all of the dead adapters. Let us know how that goes!

2:12 doesnt the iflash quad also bring the benefit of being slimmer profile? i managed to fit it with a thick 3000 mAh battery in a slim backplate after grinding down the hdd pin from the frame, due to literally a millimeter

hey man, I have a 6th gen with the red adapter, when I restore the ipod with itunes it goes to a restoring loop and I can not make it work but seems to be detecting the memory.
do I have to mess with those partitions like you show on the video?
I just don't wanna open it again, since I put the hdd back and is working but i would like to flash mood it.
    Thanks

Yes you will be able to fix it by rebuilding the MBR like I show in the video
