5:54 spectacled bears are actually a species of short faced bear, the last living member of the family “Tremarctinae” aka the short faced bears. The giant short faced bear or “Arctodus simus” was a specific species of short faced bear that was indeed the largest bear to ever live.(that we know of) their used to be many species of short faced all over South America, now there is only the spectacled bear.

The spectacled bear is probably my most anticipated animal of the pack, followed closely by the Markhor
