I was afraid of the exact same thing, but it’s so much easier than you’d think. The main thing is, the bigger the jump and the more speed you carry, equates to how confident you are. So just because you hit a smaller jump perfectly every time doesn’t mean you can do the same on the biggest jump. I can say keeping a smooth throttle is the most important when it comes to how stable you are in the air. I cut the throttle once a little too early and almost went over the bars
Zach Ruiz ofcourse you can, just start small. Don’t go too hard on it though, if it’s like the CRF110F the suspension will have a tough time with bigger jumps
What's up bro. Good video. I'm 275 lb on a kx450f I knew I was going for it but I didn't make it and wrecked on the other side on a 40-foot step up double. Ouch
I’ve been scared jumped for quite a while now when I was a wee lad I hit a jump and never got off the seat couldn’t breath for a straight 2 minutes. Definitely going to try this out soon
Follow through, smooth and even on the throttle, past the face. Focus not on the face, but visualizing and looking at just past the landing. You can control the front wheel pitch with the throttle. Easing off will nose it down into the landing. More throttle will bring it up. Throttle on as you stick the landing so you don’t pitch forward. Regain your drive. Air time should save energy and relax you. Not scare the crap out of you and drain adrenaline. Two strokes can freewheel a little off the face, so you can ease off slightly earlier.
If your not one with your bike, you’re separate from it and if you’re separate from it, well that’s how accidents happen. Where you go the bike goes not the other way around
So when u go up the jump to u give it gas or do u jus let ur speed take u up and over the jump and do u apply gas while in the air or let off of the gas
There are many factors to that question. If you carry enough speed up the jump face you can let off the gas, but make sure you have enough speed to not endo (Pro tip: give it gas in the air to bring the front end up). Riders that are learning to jump will have less speed coming up the jump face and therefore need to have the gas on off the lip. - Chase
You don't need to pull in the clutch in the air unless you're doing a brake tap which is more of an advanced move. People lean sideways to either whip or scrub. - Chase
I have this problem that when i land , the landing feels very rough and powerfull, it kinda wants to smash me down to the bike ? ( suspension should be more or less ok because the bike is in default setting ( 2019 bike) and i'm within the riders weight limit. so what could i be doing wrong ?
Could be your suspension is really soft or that your allowing your body to buckle too much when you land. You want to land in a powerful position. Elbows up, toes on the footpegs, hips out, and ready to absorb the impact. - Chase
@@rmatvmc for my case I'm floating off the pegs. I've tried squeezing my bike more. But should I squeeze with my feet also? I think I focus to much on squeezing with knees.

but you didn't say most important thing, we touch down first front wheel or rear wheel or together? and how to stay with the bike in mid air :)

When you're mid air do you want to have the clutch in? Or just keep a steady throttle? And why do people lean sideways on jumps?

Try to Apply power as you land
Deuce deuce killed it
GDUB MX - Yes he did!
My feet almost always come off the pegs when I'm jumping. I have hit the rear brake a couple of times.
Do you guys have any idea why?

I gonna stuck in the air, how to land?
If you can look down and see your front number on the plate knees slightly bent you might survive...... Ps.....if they make it you wear it.
All the same aspects of riding a horse except using these techniques riding a horse will give the horse confidence in you.
Do I give more throttle the further up the face I go?
Keep the throttle steady all the way up and off the lip. If you accelerate more as you go up and off the lip, you risk being really nose high.

Good luck, indeed! Watch for slick, rutted, or kicker-lip faces.

If you're wide open that is a pretty consistent throttle. Lol.
I keep rotating in the air when I hit jumps
Make sure to squeeze with your legs.
no one explains how to do a jump while sitting down..
We have a "how to seat bounce" top 5 video with kris keefer that would be great for this.
