  • To the Beautiful and Gracious People of Japan,
I hope the living are safe. I hope the missing are found. I hope all departed souls are at peace. Stay strong Japan!
Question: Why does humanity that is surrounded by such beauty create a world of suffering and destruction?
    • Q&A - Thich Nhat Hanh ...
The Vietnamese Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hahn, invites the bell to sound with these words:
"May the sound of the bell penetrate deep into the cosmos. Even in the darkest spots living beings are able to hear it clearly. So that all suffering in them cease. Understanding comes to their heart, and they transcend the path of sorrow and death."
"The universal dharma door is already open; the sound of the rising tide is already heard clearly. The miracle happens. A beautiful child appears in the heart of the lotus flower. One single drop of this compassionate water is enough to bring back the refreshing spring to our mountains and rivers."
"Listening to the bell I feel the afflictions in me dissolve. My mind is calm, my body relaxed. A smile is born on my lips. Following the sound of the bell, my breath brings me back to the safe island of mindfulness. In the garden of my heart, the flowers of peace bloom beautifully." ~ ThichNhat Hanh.

Blessings, good Karma and thank you to Thich Nhat Hanh and Gary Malkin garymalkin.com/.
    Strong in the rain
    Strong in the wind
Strong against the summer heat and snow
    He is healthy and robust
    Unselfish
    He never loses his temper
Nor the quiet smile on his lips
He eats four go of unpolished rice
Miso and a few vegetables a day
    He does not consider himself
    In whatever occurs...his understanding
    Comes from observation and experience
And he never loses sight of things
He lives in a little thatched-roof hut
In a field in the shadows of a pine tree grove
If there is a sick child in the east
He goes there to nurse the child
If there's a tired mother in the west
He goes to her and carries her sheaves
If someone is near death in the south
He goes and says, "Don't be afraid"
If there's strife and lawsuits in the north
He demands that the people put an end to their pettiness
He weeps at the time of drought
He plods about at a loss during the cold summer
    Everyone calls him "Blockhead"
    No one sings his praises
    Or takes him to heart...
That is the sort of person
    I want to be

I think so. I read the Buddha spent six years committed to discovering the truth about the end of suffering. What He discovered: there is an end to suffering; it can happen to anybody, anywhere, here and now; and the key to ending all suffering is to remove all desire, ill will and ignorance.

If that horse could speak what question would it ask? Why does humanity that is surrounded by such beauty create a world of suffering and destruction?

Lord Krishna is The Supreme Creator and Ruler of the Universe. He is first cause of Life and Life itself. He says everything in Bhagavat-Gita. About His position and powers. We forgot who is the BOSS. We think WE are the boss. And all we have is troubles. Some monk sings:"End of Suffering" But there is NO END OF SUFFERING in THIS WORLD. We need to restore relationship with KRISHNA and go to HIS SPIRITUAL KINGDOM, to VAIKUNDHA-LOKA REALMS. Only there is real end of suffering. Not in this world.

We, the people forgot who's the owner of this planet and all beings. The owner's GOD, no? Lord KRISHNA. The Supreme Ruler. People can avoid trouble very easily, by respecting law of Karma. Law easily says: "Don't hurt. Don't harm anybody. Help everybody. Be good person. Practice virtues. Then you will be well." Very easy to do. Costs nothing but a good will. Then tsunami will disappear. Earthquake will sleep. House will stand still and wind will be calm in your area. GOD, KRISHNA will take care.
