i feel like the voices gave the game more character and personality but i could understand how it could get annoying to have to hear them every 2 seconds
FACTS
just imagine the pain hearing them every time you do something
sometimes went too hard on a remaster or remake isn't a beautiful thing. For example 2023 remake of resident evil 4, mostly for me super decent, but new ashley look made me nearly halfway give up. I am an Asian so i rely heavily on Asian sense of beauty, new Ashley had changes to her personality more than even just the face, the new she wasn't ugly but the Japanese 2005 original still remains the best presentation. It just aged well even it wasn't in HD
To quote from Scott, "The voices give you a bit less lonely of an experience."
Well this mod is cool and all, but why would anybody wanna remove the voices? I think they made the game even more fun and enjoyable and made elements that stand out from the NES and SNES versions. Also, I always get a good laugh out of hearing the characters scream random stuff when they lose a life touching an enemy or falling in a pit on the level.

@goggles789 Well, that's just you and the chosen few, but happen to think their fun and hilarious to hear in the mario advance games. There's like a select few GBA games with voice-over lines. That's what I always liked about the game boy advance back then.
After hearing it every time you pick something up in the game, it gets old and annoying after a while. Thank god someone had the right sense to make a mod for this game that removes them. I grew up not hearing them in the NES and SNES versions, so I'm good not having to hear them in the GBA versions.
@@megmanxtreme64 As someone who grew up during that time, it was very common to hate it - everyone did, and many people I knew did not purchase it because of it. I had always wanted to play through Mario 3 but never had the chance & was so excited, and after not being able to mute or even lower Mario's screaming when playing the first level on a borrowed copy from a friend, I specifically asked my parents to NOT buy me a Game Boy Advance SP or any Mario Advance games, and I sold my regular GBA.
@goggles789 Need I remind you that not everyone who played the mario advance games hated the voices. I'm one of them.
@lamelama22 Wow, that sounds like a pretty sad story for you my friend, but I remember getting a gameboy advance and this game for my birthday a while back and after 2 or 3 years of playing super mario all stars on snes, hearing the voices for the first time was actually kinda cool and even hilarious. Yeah after a while maybe it can get pretty repetitive, but I actually got used to the voice-overs and enjoy them, especially playing arcade mario bros. on every mario advance game, and that one's my favorite since I like arcade mario bros.
The Super Mario Advance series is actually realistic because you won't be silent if someone is literally punching you. And you also have to celebrate your victories.
Yeah that's what made me love this version this mod ruined the game it feels lifeless know

the voices are rlly funny when the characters lose a life/get hit/fall down

I do like the voices for the most part and think they're cute, but they're definitely bad in SMB2, if only for the fact you have to hear them every time you pick something up.

I had no idea that there were sound effects for picking up turnips (like in the og games)
I always just assumed that the charactera voice were the sfx
but hearing the little "swish" when picking up a vegetable is so satisfying ngl

i'm gonna assume everybody asking 'but why would u wanna remove the voices they gave em so much character' either doesn't remember or is disingenuously ignoring the fact that it'd be a voice clip every like 5 seconds in this game
i don't think them not having a voice will make them a cardboard cutout or anything

actually the voice clips are still compressed and distorted sounded on gba so it isn't a wonderful showcase of handheld device compatibility, impressive for 2001 but far from sth. revolutionary

Without the voices, it’s just the All stars version on GBA.

Voice Removal Mod - Super Nintendo Version!
Dude there was lots of voice clips used in Mario Party Superstars lots more used then back then on the classic series like pushing a gold mind cart or doing something else there was voice sounds added to it in the modern series of remaked games in Mario Party Super Stars.
Well I recreated Super Mario Bros. 2 World 1-3 with Mario Advance elements and almost exact background theme in Super Mario Maker 2.
Is there a mod where it fixes the game's colors? Playing it on the original GBA is WAY better than playing it on an emulator

Personally, I felt that Charles Martinet and Jen Taylor added more to Super Mario Bros. 2 USA in Super Mario Advance, but hey, that’s just me.

I don’t find this version justified enough to replay it’s mostly the same with the exception of the new Robirdo boss which is an awesome boss it self
I rather just replay snes or nes

just play the snes or nes versions then

the gba is meant to have voices
