Quality content as always! I'm so glad you put Bloodhound Fang higher because this was the first playthrough I tried it and it was hard to switch to anything else.
Thanks! 🤘 yeah the damage, bleed & poise damage is very good. 👍
I started with that as well but have since moved onto the GUTS build. Once I finish Bloody Finger Yura’s quest I will be moving onto the Nagakiba-Double slash build.
Honestly every video I watch I always start a new game lol
Haha nice! 🤘
Yea but I think that’s a good thing in a way because everything is really well said and thought out
exactly with so many different options ill start a whole new game for one weapon lol
At least I’m not alone lol
It’s so easy to switch build after defeating Rennala.
Hey Matt, I used to watch your channel quite a bit somewhere around 6-8 months ago. I put around 300 hours into Elden Ring and 4 NG+ playthrough’s before I put it down to play some other games for a while. But I have to say, with DLC just a couple months away, I am more excited than ever to get back into the lands between! I will absolutely be using these builds!
Awesome thank you! 🤘
Great video bro, i loved the builds you made especially the lions claw one. Continue the great work 👍
Thank you! 🙏 🤘
Just want to say I love your content. I’ve watched a lot of your videos to get an idea of new builds. I’m currently on NG+11 and I’ll probably do a couple more play throughs before the DLC. Thank you so much for all of your build videos and help for beginners and I will definitely binge your videos when the DLC comes out. ❤
Thank you, Appreciate it! 🤘
These are some of the best builds I’ve ever seen good job bro
Thank you! 🙏 🤘
Woohooo great content Matt!
Thank you! 🤘
Yes to the guides. Bell bearings, anything. You're content is gold.
Thank you! 🙏 🤘
Love the vids. Keep em up
I personally will be using azure greatsword to start for the DLC. Big damage, frost, poise dmg, can be buffed the living hell out of it
Wouldn’t mind a seperate DLC prep video with all cookbooks, items, pots, rune arcs,….
Nice choice & thank you! 🤘
Love it. Great vid. Great reference vid!
Thank you! 🤘
I've never ever played a mage class throughout my from software experience but now I must. That night comet builds looks terrific. Whens the detailed build vid dropping ? Need it !
This has everything you need for the night comet build. There’s also a 3 part mage series on my channel too for night comet. 🤘
Love the vid! I think doing an in-depth guide for larval, crytal tears, pots, bottles, and a few other items would be a good idea for newer players as well as experienced🤘🏻
Thank you! 🙏 🤘
Dont forget rune arcs & overall side quest completions
@@Disturbed.01 idk about rune arc’s. There’s a LOT of those in the game lol
@@Caustic968 true but one can never go wrong with more of em. Escp cause i’m expecting to die ALOT in the DLC & i like to pop those rune arcs
If you guys want an easy way to get the Blasphemous blade, you can get the Lance in Limgrave put Lance the right and Serpent Hunter in the left and crouch attack.
If you are using the ritual shield, you should also be using the Talisman that gives you regen, Bestial Vitality, and the shield that gives you regen. All of this adds up and if you are running a good tank build and avoid most hits, the ritual shield resets pretty quickly. You can add the ritual sword on top as well.
When I went to farm the magma blade, I went in thinking it was gonna take hours but I got lucky af and got it my first go at it. Fingers crossed I can get a second one just as fast
Bell Bearing Guide!!!! Yes Please & Thank You!
nice builds, i might go with a str build with grav weapons but will prob change my mind by then
Thanks! Go with whatever is most fun. DLC should be a great test for most builds 🤘
Any suggestions for a dual katana build? Great video as always!
Thank you! I like fire & frost on dual Katana. One flaming strike & one chilling mist. 🤘
When playing the dlc, try to find a weapon that interests you, the weapon and build from the base game will be used to help you until you find a interesting weapon in the dlc, for me i really want to use that twinblade with the crucible wings
Nice! Yep. It’s going to be fun with new weapons too. Esp with 8 new weapon types on the way. 🤘
You could always go quality build going into the dlc. My recommendation would be to start a new character in order to be maxed out on larval tears and I would always go with vagabond as the starting class because it has the most well rounded stat distribution even more so than deprived (unless you wanted to do a faith/int build)
Very useful video
Thank you! Glad it helped 🤘
I would love to see a full in detailed guide leading up to the dlc. I've enjoyed your content a lot. But now I'm level 150 with your Blasphemous Blade build. 35 hours, but still a lot of places to explore.
🤘
@@TheKingofRedLightning I've enjoyed the build so much. I'm gonna sub, for all the hard work you've been doing!
U can get the Guts grestsword without having to fight the dogs. Just crouch and use stealth around the back. They won’t notice you.
These have been amazing for my prep
Awesome! 🤘
Which one you gonna use?
@@AndrewMiE I’m thinking faith. But I may try Lion’s Claw. It depends if we get more boss info before it’s released.
@@AndrewMiE I’m def going to use the great sword build with Flame give me strength. It looks very nice. I’m thinking of trying a great axe build. But I haven’t been able to make any work to my liking yet. But I do enjoy the straight strength builds that make me feel like a barbarian warrior haha
@@ragyngames3141 I’m sorry if I sound stupid but which great sword? The bloodhounds fang?
A full guide would be nice.
Would love to see a guide going over how to get all the bell bearings and other gear for the dlc. I think I'm going to go in with a strength/faith build. Maybe even a dex/faith
Nice choice! 🤘 and thanks, I may do one.
Is the frenzied flame seal you show used in the night comet build? In looking at it, would it just be used to make Howl of Shabriri more effective?
It doesn’t since it’s a flat 25% damage buff..but it’s a weightless seal with very low requirements.
@@TheKingofRedLightning Got it- so you can basically swap it for any other 0 weight seal that the build has the stats for (I have dragon communion but not frenzied flame so I'll just use that).
I think focusing a build on mainly physical damage is always a good call because in the older fromsofts games a lot of the dlc enemies would have heavy resistances to magic, lightning and dark or holy damage types. So it wouldn’t surprise me if this dlc has enemies with pretty strong resistances
Yep Lion’s Claw should be reliable. I agree. Magic is usually good too though. 🤘
@@TheKingofRedLightning I will be using the ol reliable strength/quality build.
lvl 120 (I’m going to level it to 150 by the end of the dlc I just want 30 levels to work with depending on the weapons I find)
-Claymore (lions claw) and banished knight shield
-vagabond
-60 vig
-10 mind
-30 end
-54 strength (two hand hits 80 soft cap)
-20 dex
- 9 faith (I use faith talisman to raise it to 14 for a couple buffs)
- 9 int
- 7 arcane
This build is the most well rounded melee build in the game in my experience for any situation. But I have like 6 other characters ready for the dlc with all sorts of different builds. But for the first time I’m trying to go in well rounded with levels to spare for all the cool weapons, I also have 11 larval tears that I know I’ll definitely use the second I find one really cool weapon lol
Just finished a playthrough with the mogwhyn build, had malenia down in 30 seconds on both phases, might be the most broken bleed bluid imo. Currently gonna do a dual curved swords with seppuku build, but for DLC I am thinking to try some diff like faith
Nice! And me too, Faith for DLC could be really good with 3 damage types. 🤘
Lions claw was my go to and then I randomly tried phantom strike. Lions claw is probably better but phantom strike is way more funny imo. You can send a phantom at one enemy then fly to another just aiming at them. It’s super fun.
Yep it’s fun for sure! 🤘
I'm gonna be rocking a gladiator build, power stance broardswords with braggards roar
Nice! 🤘
Day 3 of asking YAG for a bleed miséricorde dagger build
oh dude a major guide would be amazing!!
🤘
Im waiting for more info on the DLC before deciding which character to use first.
Im assuming most things will have high resistances so im probably going to bring my big bonk build or my INT build
Nice choices! 🤘
I had a bit of time deciding, but I ultimately went with the raptors feathers + claw talisman jump attack build. It basically amounted to me going full circle into a dex + bleed build....
Nice! Bleed is almost always reliable too. 🤘
What weapon do you use?
@@AndrewMiE blood scavengers curved swords. Hits 4 times when powerstanced during jump attacks. And helps me keep light equip load as opposed to other weapons like twinblades.
@@delturd1 power stance is when you jump attack and hit both l1 and r1 right?
@@delturd1 so did you use a different build or one in this video?
Is the Giant Seal best for the Blasphemous Blade build or the Erdtree Seal? @TheKingofRedLightning
Depends. For a lot of incantations Erdtree is better. But if you’re doing burn o flame & giants flame take thee the Giants’ Seal boosts those by 20% (it adds up to 44% when using 2).
Broadsword and shield.
Let’s go!
My newest video has a build for that 🤘
17:39 That Snake got PTBS from getting killed countless amounts of times for his Weapon
Der geizkragen ist selber schuld
@@beans7777 wohl wahr
Amazing video g ! 🫶🏾
🤘
Regarding the Blasphemous Blade build, the potency of Taker's Flames really falls off a cliff after 50 Faith. I think it would be wiser to spend those 30 points on bringing Mind up to 32 so you get 6 shots per Cerulean Flask instead of just 4, bringing Strength up to 22, and Endurance up to 32. Then you can also equip a bronze shield or Icon shield and equip heavier armor.
I keep it at 70-80 so that you have full faith build versatility. You can use almost any seal and incantations with those stats. 🤘
@@TheKingofRedLightning Well if you want the flexibility to switch into full Incantation mode, then 70-80 is appropriate. But for bros who prefer Ashes of War over throwing fire, lightning, and holy frisbees 50 Faith is plenty.
1st hour gang!!! Also looking for a build right now 😅
What starting class do you think would be best for sorcery?
Astrologer for sure. The early game mage guide on my channel is for night comet (from like a month ago). It has 3 parts & how to get everything too. 🤘
I think a video on where to get all the ball bearings would be good.
🤘
I have a 180 build in NG+, bunch of smithing/somber stones and like 20 odd larval tears, call it my 'template build' just gonna respec a bunch to try out all the new weapons and spells
Nice! 🤘
hey man with the buster build. i just couldn't be asked to re play the game or cheat. so i decided to turn my sorcerer into this. but i had to drop 7strength and 6 vigor to get the faith and mind to that lv. would that effect the build a lot only for pve btw
For PvE it won’t impact anything at all. I stay at RL 150 for PvP players (and for the challenge) so they can use these builds too, but for PvE you can just keep leveling if you want to. 7 less Str & vigor isn’t a big deal.
Is it fine to go over the 150 mark so I can try all the build without having to use the larval tears?
If you’re not doing PvP absolutely 🤘
That is strictly for pvp, if you're not interested in it then power up! Lol. If you want to do pvp after you get higher then just start an alt and stay at 150 on that account.
hey gamer, if you were to pick the most braindead build to use (int, dex etx.) which wojld you pick? (by braindead I mean easy to use and very efficient)
Haha blasphemous or night comet. Both are very easy. 🤘
Just learnt about the sleep pots today and I an Ng+200 lvls
Nice! They’re really helpful for the Godskin bosses. 🤘
Best 44 mins of today
How are you using golden vow with 23 faith? In the video, i hear you saying 33 faith for the night comet build
Faith tear, 10 levels for 3 minutes 🤘
@@TheKingofRedLightning ty
Btw guys I recommend a change out your ritual shield talisman for the Godfrey icon in the blasphemous build
Taker’s flames isn’t chargeable. It does boost good fire incantations though.
Finding the play style of blasphemous blade a bit boring I mean don’t get me wrong it’s absolutely broken. Would you recommend I respec and go for a nagakiba or stay in a faith build
Faith is fun if you throw in different incantations too. With the BB stats you can do that. But double slash & spinning weapon are really fun to use too. 🤘
Not sure what's better a Faith/dex, Faith/Intell, or faith/arcane, I would make strength but I just feel these are the most op and versatile
Faith & arcane out of those 3. But Faith & dexterity is fun and can be good too. 🤘
@@TheKingofRedLightning that's crazy I was literally thinking that you would say faith/arcane just simply can't go wrong with those two Ima miss my night comet build tho I guess I can just use larval whenever I wanna switch back
@@nl334 faith & arcane is powerful but faith & dexterity is also good and imo more fun for sure 👍
@@TheKingofRedLightning bet thanks for the info
How does mohgs spear do vs radabeast considering they are immune to bleed and water + fire = bad
Destroys Radagon (he has 0 fire resistance). It’s okay against elden beast but not great.
Going in with STR/FTH using Ordovis and Marikas Hammer
Nice choices! 🤘 strength & faith is great 👍
At lvl 200 how should I make this build?
What's the name of your discord server ? Can't reach that from the RUclips description
discord.gg/Bbr4y4xD hopefully this works 🤘
i just tried the night comet build for my sorcerer twink... with only 4 fp cost more my normal comet does more dmg, with the carian regal scepter even more dmg because of the higher scaling of that staff , and you could use Azur's Glintstone Crown and lusats glintstone staff for even more dmg with higher fp cost... or am i missing something why nightcomet is stronger?
Did you use 2 staves to stack the boost? It’s a 60% boost with 2 Staves of Loss. Also at high levels they have similar damage, but night comet can’t be seen or dodged by bosses or NPC’s.
@@TheKingofRedLightning used jellyfish shield like in your guide. havent had any problems with the nightcomet and dodging enemies but i will keep that in mind if i find neo dodging everything at some point, although i think i found almost every enemy xD
@@rasti1370 did you use the staff of loss though? The 60% with 2 (or 50% with 1 & a jellyfish shield) before buffs is the reason it does so much damage. 30% per staff is crazy high for a passive boost.
@@TheKingofRedLightning dude of course I did... upgraded it to max to test this. But the carian regal scepter has a much higher magic scaling. I will test more tomorrow, maybe with 2 staffs of loss but with the two glintstone items the burst DMG for bosses will be higher anyways. With higher FP cost
@@rasti1370 ruclips.net/video/0-Cs3epIuqE/видео.htmlsi=X5g83f7NMRMuwsA0 here’s a video of 2 SoL vs the Prince of death’s staff at max stats (99/99). 2 staves of loss will still beat the highest scaling staff by about 2-3%. Most others by anywhere from 10%+. I only asked because you said Carian regal scepter. SoL should beat that staff (for night comet only) by about 10%-20%. Hopefully that helps. 🤘
Do you have a new game for every character build and if so I know you start from zero when making a new character in terms of levels cause obviously you keep everything else. Do you just rune farm to get levels up
I play on NG+7 at RL 150. I have 2-3 characters I use for my videos. All of which are capped at RL 150. One is on journey 34, one 22 and the other 12. 🤘
Also real quick would you say magic and faith to be the best to scale into cause I’m all Intell right now but want to use something new
Cause I just beat the game
@@nl334 nice! Magic has more power but faith has more versatility and fun imo. 🤘
Currently making a strength/fire build
Nice! 🤘
Hei do u have a video for ash of war scaling? I am kinda lost with this
What do you mean by ash of war scaling? Keen is dexterity, heavy is strength etc. if that helps lol as for somber weapons each ash scales differently.
@@TheKingofRedLightning yeah but if I change blood slash (arcane) to keen (dex)for example it still scales with arcane, but now due to the fact that I changed it, also with dex. I tried a few things and nothing seems to make sense for me in terms of the scaling. I investet a few points into arcane -> more damage, but weapon is set to keen. I just dont get it and wos wondering if u have a good video for explanation. Cheers m8
@@KingSkully not on the specifics of every ash no lol not yet at least. You can check out my arcane & Dex crafting videos for the basics though. Great feedback on those 🤘
The builds are awesome, but they seem to kill bosses too fast, that's personally for me no fun, I like the feeling of being slightly under powered.
Thanks! And yep I say go with whatever is most fun. 🤘
One question: how do I continue Millicent's quest if I have burned down the tree before giving her the Golden Needle?
You can complete it still. Millicent’s quest can be complete pretty late game, I’ve done it as late as before the final boss.
@@TheKingofRedLightningGave her the needle healed her from rot I saw her once at Gowry’s shack and then that’s it I can’t find her anymore
@@AlbanianRap the full quest is in the description on my alt channel. It has every step.
Hmmm. Back to night comet we go. lol we’re off to see the wizard lol
Haha nice! Yeah magic is good in souls games as a whole. Usually DLC’s included.
I’ll have to try a mage in the remastered dark souls after trying night comet
Am I missing something? Let's do the blasphemous blade build. When I punch the numbers into a build calculator, I am above 150, closer to 160 level. So how are you getting these stats while being at 150? are you including your tear? That must be it. A little misleading. Going a prophet you net you one more stat point vs hero. which isn't that big of a difference but I also like playing the prophet. Thanks for you vids. Much appreash
Hero and the faith tear it’s mentioned in every build. 10 levels for 3 mins 🤘
@@TheKingofRedLightning I guess I didn’t understand that you would use them while showing off the stats. Since they are temporary. That’s just how you do it I guess. Had me very confused. Thought it would confuse others too. Cheers mate. No hard feelings. I’m trying out ice spear build but with royal greatsword.
He says “25 faith with the faith tear” in just about every video. It’s embedded in my brain from watchin all his videos lol
Maybe my question is dumb (and sorry for this) but how the hell do you go with 16 strength while Nagakiba comes with a 18 restriction ?
2 hand you get a 1.5x strength bonus. 🤘
Why use the faith tear if you already meet the faith requirements for your buffs?
Base faith is 15, it’ll show 25 after the tear is used for 3 mins.
What’s the point of the faith physic when you have 25 faith? Flame grant me strength and golden vow are flat buffs. Can someone explain?
So base faith is 15. It’ll show 25 after you use the tear.
NG+7 and stuck at level 150 ?? why ?
i test the double slash nagakiba with blood affinity and i proc much more the blood loss and much more damage instead of yours build, anyways its very good builds
That depends on level a bit. Blood affinity has a physical damage reduction. But at higher levels it’s less noticeable. For 125-150 I recommend going for keen for more physical damage in between procs. And thanks!
I’m lvl 100 how should I make the double Nagakiba build?
Go for 30-40 Dex & 30-40 vigor. Decent mind & endurance. Winged sword insignia, lord of blood’s, Millicent’s prosthesis & shard when you get it.
@@TheKingofRedLightning ty🙏
Man what an epic video. Thanks for the effort. Definitely saving this as a go to video 🫡
🤘
Oh I’m SUPER EARLY 😂
🤘
My final pick for the dlc is double twinblades (Eleonore and apostle), with frost affinity on apostille, every jump attack enhancing gear, white mask.
For off-spec, i have prepared coded sword+10 + shield (can't remember which one) just in case Holy damage is a thing. It's not a very resilient spec, but it should be fun and good enough.
Nice! Solid pick 🤘
Which build for this of us that are just really bad at Elden Ring, lawl. I stopped playing around when my Flame of the Redmanes reach/shield build got nerfed, but I'm thinking about coming back and finishing the game for the DLC. I'm just so bad at combat though, my reaction time sucks.
Night comet & blasphemous blade are both easy mode. 🤘
Same here lol
Why does the community keep ignoring shield-poke's existence. There's NOTHING more broken in the game (pve) than a Fingerprint Shield (or Eclipse) and a blood proc-ing spear....Mohgwyn's if you wanna make the game irrelevant. I get the community doesn't like "turtle" play, but don't act like it doesn't exist when we say OP😂
I think lightning scales with dex not faith
Dex on weapons. Incantations are faith based.
@@TheKingofRedLightning oh right I thought it was about the weapon damage type :)
So just meta builds😅
The title is overpowered builds.. so… yes
