wow, Batam has evolved so much compared to 10 years ago.. Would definitely like to try their local food asam pedas, dry crab bee-hoon etc..and if i get a chance to stay at Aston Batam hotel, would definitely go gaga like Nina trying out their gym facility, their outdoors jet ski activity, banana boat, parasailing, kayaking etc...Hope to do this with my wife too..we badly need a break lol

Honestly as a big foodie, there's nothing more interesting than diving into the food culture of another country. A2 Foodcourt sounds like the activity for me! Plus, if I cannot get A's in school, at least I can go there and get an A2 in real life. :')

The last trip I was supposed to go on with my parents was more than a decade ago and was cancelled due to my mum’s sudden onset of heart attack. I really hope to bring my parents to Batam and the Eco Edu Park since one of my fondest memories were going on the RC organized tours to the Zoo & Safari with my parents when my brother and I were kids.
I think a family trip is long overdue. Having the entire family on the trip will make sharing of the Nasi Padang and dishes at A2 food court a wonderful experience. After all, what better way to bond as Singaporeans than through food 🤤😋🥘🫔🍛🍲🍝🍢🥙🧆🍚

To be honest, there are still much more to be explored in Batam especially in food cuisine.
What's unique in Batam is that we have a lot of "Indonesian-race" living here such as Batak, Java, Padang, Flores, Ambon, Chinese, Melayu,etc and therefore, the amount of culinary is a lot more variety.
If you guys ever come to Batam, i'd be glad to list out the food places you guys should definitely try out

Been to Batam 8-9 years ago, and hadn't thought of going back again until I watched this video! I want to try jetskiing, I love water sports and the view is so magnificent!!

Hotel room and gym with the Eco garden! Omg. Really can’t choose. It’s like the entire package that is worth travelling out of Singapore for. These are things that you cant get in Singapore at a more affordable rate.

Nice one! Great production value and having Naina is a pleasant surprise. That being said, the Padang really looks good (reminds me of Garuda Padang in SG once before they left) and a definite must try especially with the view! Also the Jet Ski! This was such a well made video and certainly made me look forward to my future trips! The activity that I will definitely like to try will be the jetsk. Firstly, this is something that is not readily available in Singapore and more importantly, you guys look so cool doing it I really wish I could give it a spin.
The idea of the calming sea accompanied by the strong speed and wind blowing on my face just feels like a joy a behold. Furthermore, my partner and I have been on a couple of trips together before but mostly to the city and we have planning to try something more activity-based and the jetski and whole of batam check all the boxes!

Dont have a creative answer, just a true story! So the activity Im looking forward to is jet skiing because the last time I tried doing that was like a decade ago when I was young. Wasnt able to do it because when I was about to get on the ski, I (kid you not) STEPPED ON A SEA TURTLE AND IT BIT MY FOOT HAHAHA!! My foot got infected and I had to be rushed to a nearby hospital, ever since then, I avoided going into the open water sea 🤣 ty for listening to my story, good luck everyone!!

Hi Aiken and Nina! The last time I went Batam I only remember eating the Ayam hijau like Nina 😂😆 y’all looked like you really had so much more fun! Makes me wanna go again. Hubby and I haven’t been on a trip together alone since we got married in 2020. If we get to go I’ll intro him to the Nasi Padang (his fav food) and jet ski (he say he scared but I’m sure he will have fun)! Would definitely want to visit the eco edu park there!! I'm impressed by how much Batam has developed and it's so amazing that they actually dedicate an area for animal/wildlife conservation! plusss the food omg will try all the food featured here! Please recommend some spa/massage places too :)

The nasi padang one confirm top notch win because really can tell the faces from your face that y’all genuinely love it and recommend and I think the spread makes you feel like a prince/princess that can’t decide what to eat and just there enjoying royalty. Never tried before but really look forward to trying it for myself!! Confirm damn shiok haha

Watching the video, I really wanted to stay in Aston Hotel and residence family suite! My whole family can stay under one roof and visit all the place you had shown.

An activity I would like to try is jet skiing! Before Covid days, I would go to Batam almost on a yearly basis but I didnt know there was so much more to it, especially the food!

My family and I would love to win the staycation (whichever you generously bestow) coz its been a long time coming and I sincerely do hope to Holiday with them, especially with my mum since her Birthday is coming up in Oct. Would be great to bring the old dame out for a trip as she has not ventured out much since the pandemic and after my dad passed on. So an amazing trip like this, nearby yet filled with the bells and whistles would go a long way to reset and cheer her up considerably!!!
