Grand Batam is (probably) one of the smallest among most popular mall here (Nagoya Mall, BCS Mall, Mega Mall), but it is the most luxurious currently. Nice positive vibe tho!

Great video! Thank you for sharing, gave me a rough idea about pricing! Planning for a day trip to surprise my gf on her birthday! Any recommendations? Looking to pamper her on that day, etc massage, manicure and food haha
Do you think its a need to have a driver or is grab convenient?
And is a day trip enough?
    Thank you! :)

Hi.. Thank you for watching... > <
Personally, I think a day trip will be a bit too rush, especially if you plan to do pampering and eat eat.. and maybe some shopping? ^_^
Depending what you want to do.. if you plan to visit Nagoya Hill for example, where hotel, msg, food, shopping are nearby and within walking distance, then taking a grab from ferry terminal will be enough.
But if you plan to visit many places or the locations are very far from everywhere, then renting a car will be easier and cheaper.
During my visit, I used both Grab and Uber apps. Easy and convenient. But I was there on weekdays, off peak season.
For more info on Nagoya hill and other hotel/ resort, you can watch my Batam Hotel review.
Btw, fyi.. most Batam big malls accept credit card payment, but small shops and restaurants only accept cash (Rupiah).
For me, I normally change and bring from Singapore to save time looking for a money changer there.
Hope you and gf have an awesome holiday ^_^

Thanks for sharing. Planning to go in Sept and have couple questions. Is credit card widely used in Batam? Should get IDR in Singapore or in Batam? Thanks.

    • @reignitewithyantilim2599
      @reignitewithyantilim2599  6 месяцев назад +2

Yes, they use credit card, but I am not sure about Singapore issued credit card, and if there is any additional fee, etc.
I normally will change IDR in Singapore (so I can save time & not looking for money changer there). But I will bring extra SGD to change in Batam (just in case I need more IDR) ^_^
Have fun & awesome holiday soon...

The price of food in Batam is already very expensive,, in the Makassar south Sulawesi the price for a meal of Rice+ grilled fish+soup+Chili sauce+ for free teh costs just Rp 15000

Yanti, thanks video nye. Banyak questions:
    1. kamu bawa luggage gede 24-28 inch, pas naik ferry harus di check-in gak?
    2. Luggage next to you while inside the ferry?
    3. saw you bought kecap manis cap bango. Bisa masuk lewat customs pas mau di bawa ke Singapore?
I plan to buy banyak sauce2an Indo 😊. Tolong advice nye. Thanks

      Haloo Marlita,
      1. Koper ku size medium, jadi perlu di check-in. Kalo bawa koper yg kecil (cabin) bisa di bawa sendiri ke dalam ferry.. ^_^
      2. Luggage kecil taro di depan atau di tengah ferry.. ada bagian khusus koper.. no space next to me for koper..
      3. So far kecap manis or kecap asin bisa sih masuk ke Sg.. buah and makan an juga bisa masuk asal gak terlalu banyak and for own consumption.. baru2 ini aku bawa alpokat dari Vietnam.. ^_^
Untuk aman nya, bisa di check ke
      www.sfa.gov.sg/food-import-export/bringing-food-for-personal-use
      Happy holiday and shopping.. ^_^
