Those strong talents that didnt get much better getting older must have been avoiding doping.

He should have left FDJ, might have made better tactical decisions and could have had more wins with a different manager and team. I loved his attacking style, just think he could have picked his moments more wisely.

Well, then, let's get more direct instead of a passive assessment, and place him amongst the rest of the elite who didn't win a GT.... I'd say thanks to that 2019 Tour, which he would have won, not "potentially" would have won, and I understand your choice of words, choosing the safe route, explaining that Tour with a "safe word" such as "potentially" but no he would have won that race considering who won, Bernal, for he was the class of the field if Bernal won, he was minutes ahead of Bernal at the time he abandoned.... so, I'd say, he's Top 20 of All-Time amongst the best to have never won a GT. He blew it in 2014 as well, maybe a little raw with his problems descending. So, in fact he would have won 1 Tour, and could have "POTENTIALLY" won 2 Tours

Poor guy was the victim of wanting to be a winner on a French team, as so many of his countrymen who cycle do
