I have already painted her up so maybe I can do a video for redcat showing a happy customer who is pleased with Redcat customer service. I gotta say that you guy's definitely just raised the bar in the RC industry! Way to go on the improvements made to the new Gen 8 AXE! Its absolutely beautiful, has high end electronics, and is priced extremely competitive! I give Redcat racing an A+ on this new release!

Nice to see the flat skid plate on the bottom..when I moded mine probably the first to do it on youtube some guy's mocked me saying it wont make the gen 8 run better but it sure did and it's awesome you guy's now make the gen 8 with the flat skid thanks for improving your RC's!
Been looking hard at these but they are sold out everywhere. Ordered one of the last ones on eBay. I don't have a lot of money to buy multiple crawlers and think this is the best one I could get for the money. I hope it lasts a while. I'm stoked.
please fix those wheel wells also a scout terra pickup would be a awsome adition to your lineup there slightly longer so it would be a great body to make use of the longer wheelbase option while sticking to your winning streek with the scout platform
Redcat Scout II was my second choice to an SCX10 II due mostly to that beautiful Scout body, but found there were too many critical plastic pieces (like steering C hubs) that had a history of breaking quickly with the RC. So, hubby and I are building an SCX10 II with a Scout II body. :D It'll probably explode as soon as we put a battery to it, conflicted over its nature of being an Axial Scout II. lol
The tires are actually pretty good, tried a lot of others, but These were one of the best. Just the foams (in my case gen7 pro), they are a little soft for the weight.
How many of you are like me, i wanted a gen8 with new upgraded chassis and Hobbywing axe, less the body, fender, wheel , i have a hardbody in mind. Hopefully they come out with one
I have a question. Do you think that I could take the body from the Redcat gen 8 Scout axe Edition and somehow fit it inside of the normal Redcat gen 8 Scout body? I would like to use it as an interior for my stock Redcat gen 8 v2 body. I have the version 2 of the Redcat gen 8, but I don't think it will make a difference. It's just that the V2 has clear windows and I would like to install an interior to it.
Maybe talk to a sales rep and Redcat and starting buying direct from Redcat? Horizon is a dealer and has to order from Redcat just like any other dealer - so they are limited to preordering and receiving them before they can sell to you - basically playing "middle man".
@@RedcatracingAZ I called them last week because they dont even have them on the site like they would normally for preorder. They said you won't sell this version to them yet and that RC was only selling direct to retail buyers at this time. We have bought direct from RC but its just easier to add them to our weekly Horizon order.
I'm waiting to see Axial's rumored RTR Capra before pulling the pin. The one easiest to accept/adapt my Traxxas iD batteries will likely win. Ain't no Gd way I'm peeling off the bucks for different battery/charger. They standardized motorcycle controls by the mid-1970s; It's time for this industry to stop victimizing the consumer and do the same.

I GET MINE FROM A-MAIN HOBBIES IN CHICO CALIFORNIA.
Well yes this is stock - but it essentially comes with all the modifications that some folks would do to the stock Gen8 version. So essentially all one would need is this model here - and it would be modified as much as it needs/could be. Not to mention it has the most modifications for the most competitive price for all scale RTR crawlers on the market currently.

It’s only $250 to us to them they pay like 35 $40 for it plus if I was to put a brushless system on a rig it would be a castle esc and a 3 brothers motor and for the record better and cheaper ( sidewinder 4 ($80) and 6 pole 3000 kv ($80)
Buying the AXE system in this model + the servo and a stock Gen8 to install it in - would cost well over $500 - that is why it is offered in the AXE. People are always welcome to choose a Gen8 P.A.C.K. and buy their own electronics but this cost is well worth the value. But you are more then welcome to choose what ever RC company you wish.
@@rdpancake If your TRX4 had came with a sensored brushless system and a Reefs servo along with an excellent TX/RX, it would have easily cost $575-$600. The TX/RX that comes with the TRX4 is barely average at best. All of these items listed are upgrades for your TRX4 but do come from factory on the Gen 8 AXE at a bargain price under $500. Oh yeah, did I mention the ESC can be easily programmed using a smartphone? Refresh my memory; how much does that TRX4 sell for? I'll stick with my Gen 8 AXE bro. Good luck with that TRX4 though. LOL
Redcat won’t even replace the body that came to me with a tear in it!!!🤬 paid $500 dollars got a bad body and the guy says in an Email, “SHOOGOO IT” get real redcat, I’ve spent thousands on your products and this is how you treat a customer. Thanks a lot🖕🏼
cory f well bro as of right now they are correcting the problem so it was a major issue but as of tomorrow I’m suppose to receive my new body from Redcat after a major hit from me on line like this really disrupted things in Redcat life. Sucks cause I love them fools and should never of came to this. After my new body is in my physical possession I will clean up this mess for they do have fantastic products that are kickass and straight deliver on performance

Exocaged RC Yes they are. Just pop the foam into some boiling water and they should soften up.

Axial has been falling behind for some time now the gen8 is a better rig in all regards except steering and far behind the the trx4 sport.
Forget the SCX10 ii or Gelande ii, this will be my scale truck.
