JSPlacement is turning out to be a rather awesome program. I use it to create textures for my own models. I have the more advanced version myself, and I'm quite satisfied with it. There is the promise of an even more advanced version in the future, and you can bet I will grab it and install it as soon as it is released. Now here is one thing I use the images I generate in JSPlacement for: I open an old program known as Bryce 7.1 Pro. In it I create a Symmetrical Lattice. I go to the Deep Terrain Editor (DTE)(accessed by left click on the little E box next to the object in the scene). In the DTE I click New, then I click Picture. This allows me to navigate on my computer to the folder I store my JSPlacement images in. I choose an image and accept it. It loads into the DTE as a height map. I make the object solid while still in the DTE, then click the lower right check mark to exit. Now my symmetrical lattice's shape is defined by the JSPlacement image. I can elongate it on its Y axis to make a cool looking science fiction cigar shaped space ship. Now all I have to do is apply my textures to complete the ship. What do i do? I use JSPlacement images to create my textures. So the whole ship has now been completely created using JSPlacement images and one Bryce Symmetrical Lattice as the base object! Next I create my space environment, arrange my lighting, setup my image parameters and click render. Voila! I have a great looking Science Fiction Space Scene!
Shame it doesn't work on MacOS.. but it looks absolutely amazing. *sorry it does work on MacOS I had to right click and select open file on my mouse, otherwise Mac see's the file as an unauthorized publisher* it works really well and it looks absolutely incredible.
Didn't seem to work for me and I'm also using JSplacement. I followed the instructions and all I got for the displacement plain was just a wavy plain and not a circuit board. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Yes, you can change texture resolution up to 1000px (Photoshop) or change texture resolution in Cinema 4D settings for rendering and viewport texture resolution
Seems like a really great app. But none of the versions are working on any of my Win10 systems unfortunately. As soon as press the generate button or change some sliders it just stalls with a red square and the text "working" :-(
@@NEKSAF When you press the generate button, a red square appears with the text 'working'... then nothing else happens.. It used to work on my old laptop
not enough polygons- if you use displacement map, not the displacer, matters on your render engine- arnold- you need geometry octane- you don't need geometry physical- you need geometry corona- you need geometry
I think JSplacement needs the "Iterations to be able to come down to only one.. as the program is somewhat remarkable using sprites that are from pictures and they make a -neg indentation onto a plane very well. Also a library function improvement would be massive for custom sprites so to have the choice of INDIVIDUAL sprite files within the 'library'. A 'Save Function' is absolutely necessary for the general creations with a capability for subfolders to assign different projects records.

my version of js placement doesn't have the cool color tab samples at the bottom.. and shows theres no other version available.. but I am curious about your set up and if you're able to run red shift or octane on your mac??
I think you saved me from my assignment.

Thanks for spreading the word ♥
been struggling with a material displacement rendering ugly, jagged edges. I had never thought of using this deformer. Thank you so much!
Try using a different tech map as the diffuse. It really looks like a city!

I can't open the JSplacement because the developer hasnt verified it said from the notification. Any help? Im on mac btw
отличная программа и урок!
Start 7:50
curious what your computer specs are...I'm upgrading soon.
do you having trouble with JSplacement? The screen does not maximize in windows and even deleting the folder as indicated does not return to normal.

you need more geometry. try to increase your polygon count.
is there any way to change the output image resolution down to 1k?
8k is just too great
Yes, you can change texture resolution up to 1000px (Photoshop) or change texture resolution in Cinema 4D settings for rendering and viewport texture resolution
Thanks for interesting info!
It took 2 hours of rendering in CPU or GPU(Octane or Prorender)?
use redshift next time lol
amaizing tutorial!
Nice tutorial bro!!
awesome! many thanks ^^!
how to setup light?
excelent
Did you use Ambient Occlusion and GI for the render?
Can't download anymore :( if anyone has it please share it somewhere.
Agreed. Is the site down? Is there anywhere else to get this great program?
Ah its back up again, but in a really stripped down site that clearly says it's not going to be up much longer. Pity its come to that...
@@markjo254 that’s pretty sad.
Tell you what. I’ll host it, and I’ll dig up his paypal in the web archives. Let’s make him a surprise.
did you fid the software i need it for my first projetc on blender
is the material v6 pack not in the evrything pack
Good question. I will double check and send out an updated version today if it's not there.
Thanks! :3
Thanks a lot

you have to save "save height"

Oh wow..
When I import my map png the plain just turns into a rumbly mess.
itterations and polygons are what you need. Dont know what render you use?

YOOO!!
Hey Crow, wassup?
What is this music in background called?
how do i always end up with a days long render?
shitty computer + shitty rendering engine. let me guess, you have a mac and used Octane.
@@googleinc6033 how long would it take for my crappy PC with i5 and 1660 GTXsuper and 16 gb ram lmao

Every time I import the picture it changes to blue
I guess that's because that is a normal map. I'm a blender user, but you have to feed the normal map into the displacement, and not the main color.
