Damn. And his last win was almost 4 years ago, and he's still ranked 6. Same thing kinda with Colby too but with wins. I noticed the other day. He only has 2 wins over active UFC fighters. RDA in 2018 and Max Griffin in 2016. Kinda crazy he's still even in the top 5. There's a few that make no sense to be highly ranked, like Costa still being in the top 10. Rankings are weird 😂

I think the reason Jiri looks "worse" is because Alex read him earlier from the first fight. Jiri did well in the first fight because even though Alex is a high-level striker. Jiri is so weird/awkward it can catch everyone of guard. Now that Alex has a better understanding of Jiri, Jiri couldn't get anything to work.

I would love to Izzy vs Pereira again, but only under the condition Izzy moves up to 205. I'm not interested in seeing Pereira drained from weight cuts again, and he's clearly in his element at 205 (and would probably do even better at heavyweight)..
Obviously, that's one of the biggest fights in UFC history, but frankly I am more interested in seeing Pereira move to heavyweight.
A big fight? Yeah, but not necessarily good for either of their careers. Whoever loses takes a big hit and it doesn't make sense from a business point of view to bring two of your biggest superstars to the sacrificial altar, when they're so far separated in weight and legacy.
Izzy is an all time great middleweight champ.
Alex could potentially become first triple champ..
Also, we already kinda know what's gonna happen..
I feel like they should put that fight on the back burner when both their careers have cooled down a bit, because Alex vs. Izzy 3 would completely re-invigorate interest in them as fighters..

Dk if you'll see this, but there is a guy with a channel called 'Just Torrell'. He started a few years ago doing Muay Thai, and he's recorded every fight he's had so far. Also, the way he edits the video's make the fights even better to watch. Also, I love your content, and I've learnt so much for MMA and that just from watching your content.

At his peak, JJ had serious problems beating Gustafsson, Thiago Marreta and Rees, and some say he lost those fights, notably the one against Rees.
And Poatan is much better than any of the three.
How do you think JJ can beat Poatan, without JJ being today what he once was?
In this hypothetical fight, I think Poatan is the favorite.

I think a bigger fight than Adesanya vs. Pereira would definitely be Jones vs. Pereira. Jones is considered the 🐐, but if Pereira wins, then he would become a Champs champ champ, which nobody has done before, and also he would have beaten Jones. But if Jones wins, Pereira winning the heavyweight belt against somebody else wouldn’t make him the greatest of all time 🗿.

I agree, I think that's why Izzy posted the twitter post he did, and Izzy has been laying seeds, in an interview he mentioned they are gonna fight 3 times, and that was when they were going for their 2nd MMA fight meaning one fight left, an dhe also mentioned how he doesn't want to train with him after before he retires only after which shows he knows that fight is coming. UFC will look for it for sure especially with the Jon/Stipe fight not seeming to happen

as expected, said as much on your predictions vid. It was a bit more brutal than I expected, but the level of dominance I was looking to see. On a side note, isn't this pretty much the same thing that happened to Volk? Missing block on kick at edge of void, and getting domed.

Pereira's head coach said that they saw a video in the locker room where it showed Jiri practicing leg kick blocks and realised Jiri's hands where down every time Jiri tried to mimic the "block" so they decided to add the headkick in the fight "gotta be careful with the things you put in the internet prior to a fight" he said

I've always thought the colors of the tape that on their gloves should be how you refer to them. Instead of red shorts and black shorts etc. It's red gloves and blue gloves. Such a small thing, I know but I think it would make more sense especially since Alex (and may others) have multi-colored textured shorts. But the tape on their gloves are standardized.

Before I never thought it would happen, but now I believe Alex versus Tom Aspinal is going to happen in the future. Alex knows it’s a massive risk but why not go for it. I believe Tom will win fairly easy via submission. Still, it would be fun watching build up to the fight.

The teep-kick was Pereira's response to Jiri switching stances to avoid the calf-kick. Perfect adjustment, and Jiri looked flummoxed by it. Surprised you didn't mention the left-hook that dropped Jiri was actually a front-knuckle punch like Sean Strickland throws, who Pereira probably got it from. Honestly, Jiri was rocked three times in the first round by shots he should be able to take. I don't know what happened to his chin.
